10 Most Satisfying Cars - As per Consumer Reports | Here is Why
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Buying a new car can be thrilling, as you eagerly anticipate driving it and trying out all of its features. However, not all vehicles live up to their advertised promises, and disappointment can ensue. Luckily, there are some cars that surpass expectations and thoroughly and please their owners.
Consumer Reports has compiled a list of the top 10 vehicles that received the highest praise from owners, based on over 300,000 survey responses for the 2022 model year sedans, SUVs, and pickup trucks. The rankings were determined by the percentage of owners who replied "definitely yes" to the question of whether they would choose the same vehicle if they had to do it all over again.

I bought a 2021 Hyundai Sonata after test driving most competitors. Sonata wasn't even part of my list as I had a certain perception of Hyundai. The only reason I test drove a Sonata was a Hyundai dealership located across the street from a Honda dealer. The ride comfort, fit and finish and features took me by surprise. This car was different in a good way. I bought it, and 38k miles later, I am still very happy with my decision. My previous car was a 2004 Accord. I bought it new and kept it for about 18 years. At 174k miles, the transmission gave up completely. The Accord had 3 recalls in my first year of ownership including issues with the A pillar and the driver side airbag.

As a senior on a fixed income, I drive a 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage. It has 82,000 miles on it. The only repairs I’ve needed were tires, a battery and brakes. Best car I ever owned and still drives like new. As a single senior, the size is fine for me. And it still gets close to 40 miles / gallon. Most cars will last if you take care of it and keep up with maintenance

Best car i ever owned was a 1968 Oldsmobile F85 with a 250 6 cylinder engine, you couldn't kill that car and it got 25 mpg on the highway without any computers or direct injection.
My most satisfying car is my 1966 427 Cobra I purchased in 1968 and still own.
I got the 2022 Ford Maverick, but the ecoboost version. Had it a bit over a year now and still absolutely love it.
I've owned two corvettes and two 911's. I've never regretted buying them but had regrets after selling them. I'd still have one but living in Alaska now with its dirt and gravel roads just would ruin them. Now I have a Silverado 3500 duramax and a Subaru outback. My wife hates the sub's looks but it never gets stuck in the snow and is no uglier when dirty.

We have a 10-year old Volvo C60 and love it. We live in Quebec with bad roads, extreme temperatures and tons of road salt, and it’s in great shape. Granted, we take care of our vehicles and wash them/service them regularly, but it has no signs of rust, which is a first. We’ll buy another.
I owned two Infiniti G37’s and loved each one. I just purchased the Q60 and very impressed with the power and performance of the vehicle. Love it
1970 VW Karmann Ghia was the best car I’ve owned
Pretty much every car was a niche, with the exception of the Telluride. Most people do a poor job researching cars, but niche buyers are all looking for something very specific that is not available in another car, so it would make sense they would be satisfied with their purchase. OTOH with Rivian's apparent demise, the lack of warranty service and spare parts may diminish the glow of their new purchase.
@johnstuartsmith

A company that has always operated on the verge of bankruptcy wouldn't have spent money on a big inventory of spare parts that wouldn't be needed until long after the company has gone under. Unfortunately, a used Rivian won't ever gain a reputation as a "money pit" because there aren't the parts and trained mechanics to spend money on.
I guess your list is technically accurate when you say the ten most satisfying. But not many of us are looking for two seater sports type cars. I was hoping for a top ten list of SUV's and sedans that the average person with a family would be interested that owners would buy again because of satisfaction with them. I'm sure you've done one, I'll keep looking.

"I guess your list is technically accurate when you say the ten most satisfying". Exactly - it is. For those who are less mentally capable and have made idiotic comments below, simply put, CU asked (via their periodic surveys) their subscribers about their cars, would they buy them again, and crunched the numbers. No one cares if any of these cars are not what you're looking for. It's simply a survey that determines how pleased a subscriber is with their car, based upon several questions, and whether they'd buy it again. No more, no less. Unfortunately, the legions of brain dead and childish commenters in thee video comment thread can't seem to (or refuse to) comprehend this point.

I love my 2019 Rav 4 XLE. But I have always wanted a new Corvette and the newest styling is beyond anything I have wanted before. The car is one of the best (in my opinion) looking car on the road. It is better priced than any of the luxury super cars and I think it is actually the top of any class for super cars. Look it i snot a Lambo, but if you can get two of the most expensive Corvettes for the price of one Lambo, seems there is no competition. It is a super car anyone can own (for the most part) and as a used car, most anyone can if they are willing to shop and wait for it.

When I spot another of the same vintage, we drivers nod as we cross. A satisfied and smug nod! Hated my 2022 brand new Telluride- it constantly had a recall or update, transmission oil pump failed at 160 miles, surged forward when the auto off/stop re-engaged the engine, around town mpg was 11, much less than my V8 4runner!

Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. It’s interesting because my experience with a 2018 4Runner and a 2022 Telluride has been the exact opposite. I had a 2000 4Runner that I loved, and was hoping for a similar owner experience with the newer 4Runner - it was a disaster! And Toyota did zilch to resolve its gremlins, even while under warranty: transmission shifting/lungeing issues, uneven brake wear, and electrical failures. My Telluride SX has been outstanding after nearly two years of ownership. It indeed rides and drives like a much more expensive car. I’ve had my issues with Kia service (slow, poor experience) at dealerships (a sore point), but honestly in my case, Toyota wasn’t much better.
