Thanks Bluz! I’ve been doing pretty well off 27 around Hackberry, on foot. I have a boat on order, and this really helps. I play guitar and bass myself.

Thanks Keith ! Hope it helps you out ! Be safe down there. It can be a very dangerous body of water if you arent familiar with it. There is almost NO place to hide from the wind. Look for clean water , tidal movement and catch a lot of fish !

Pretty cool way to talk about spots....I use Google all the time to map out new lakes and find fishing spots.

Thanks, man ! I know how long ot took me to learn a little bit about this area...due to living in the Northern part of the state. Just wished I had this done for me 20+ years ago. It was tough at first...but over the years, you learn from listening and learning....and of course....trial and error. The great thing about sharing saltwater spots is that it's unlike bass fishing, because tides, water clarity and salinity play a huge role...unlike fresh water fishing, for the most part. The fish are here today, gone tomorrow...lol !

I live in Lake Charles and have fished all these spots.

Our camp is in Joes Cove - as long as you stay tight to then bank it’s 3’-4’ deep...then it gets skinny quick!

Yep, it does ! I do more fishing in Joe's Cove than I'll ever film, btw. Hopefully I'll meet up with you down there this summer, Charlie. We can run skinny water, no problem.

Whoeeeee! Well if I make it down to Calcasieu Lake, I will still want to fish it with you all thats for sure! Thats a lot of water to cover, but look like some excellent spots! Take care, Chris

Calcasieu is on the Gulf Coast, it's mainly a saltwater marsh area, widely known for it's big speckled trout. ( many caught over 9 lbs) People come from all over the country to fish it, because of the abundance of inshore species. It took me 20+ years to learn a bit about it, because I live 200+ miles away. Thanks for dropping in !

Thanks love your video I been going the Rockefeller and Cypremort Point looking for a better place to fish I always heard of Big Lake never knew where Big Lake was I live near Rayne and Lake Charles is less than an hour away I will be going an try my luck Monday now I know where to go thanks to you

Man....Bluz.... I can't wait to hit some of these spots that I didn't get to see last time! Makes me wonder how the fishing is going south the closer you get to the Gulf? You really know the area well!!

It depends on the water clarity, wind and tides, Rob....all of which affect the baitfish. You were pretty far south at West cove, in the marsh. I caught a 41 inch red at the jetty once, but since we dont eat those big ones, it's not worth the trouble of running that far down...unless we hit the rigs offshore for trout. I'm still learning, too, after 20 years of going down there.

Hey blues man I watched you last video on 10 places to fish Calcasieu, thanks for the tip, I’m from Benton LA, usually go down once or twice a yr stay at spicers. Gonna try some of your spots next time I go which will be 9-20-19.

I find some good spots with Google. Good tool to use finding those fishing spots.

Yep. It's been good for me. Of course, I had to actually go to 99.9% of those spots in order to see the depth, tidal movement, etc. But it sure has helped. Thanks for dropping by, Wayn. The coffee pot is always on for you, my friend ! Tight lines.

That picture of Long Point Reef...thats not a barge its an oyster dredge killing that reef.

Hmm...actually, not sure if his family owns it. Been called that for as long as I remember. I do know where his place on Toledo Bend is, if he still owns it. It's in Lanana Bay. Been looking for houses down there for 2 years. I hesitate, they get higher ! LOL !
