When living in a disaster prone area, don't go for the cheapest construction you can find. Use concrete and concrete embedded solutions. If there's heavy hurricanes and tyfoons and whatnot, use armed concrete, which must then also be applied into substructure embedding. This means using bolts for window wallframes and such. Not a few nails or even just some glue. Most accidents happen when people who think they can design a building after a few years of architecture at a lesser university is enough to start drawing up building schemes. It's not the software either. Ultimately people need to keep wind pressures, earthquake forces, foundation soil and liquifaction into account as well. Doing so on a good understanding of the geography is part of the building design. Not doing so leaves a building that's meant to resist eartquakes prone to windpressure or vice versa, or an otherwise good building to both. (using no countermeasures for neither). Going cheap is nice when it comes at little cost to quality. Going with cheaper that does cost in quality is a one way street to disaster in a disaster prone area. Yes, it's cheaper today, but if the building goes woosh, it'll be more expensive. A good building that resists eartquakes in an earthquake area is not cheap, but will be cheaper than erectnig the same building twice. The same for wind resistance, soil degradation, landslides, soil liquifaction, etc.

Awsome dust devil, I felt bad for the man, but was glad to hear what the town did for him, to ease his loss. Good people, bless them all. P.S. I also agree with others you commented on the use of the map to show where things happened. I like that thank you.

Hippos are quite amazing sometimes how they gallop through the water with relative ease. Most of us has experienced how hard it is to run through water and the resistance you encounter but Hippos make it look easy. Also I like how they suck in air as they go up and down through the water similar to professional swimmers.

1:55 Better research needed. The tornado in amsterdam actually caused moderate damage (Low-End F1) when it hit land. It went quite a bit before dissipating after the man stopped filmed. I have no idea where the luxembourg info comes from, but ESWD and TornadoListe rated the tornado high-end F2/T5 so the 80 MP/H is completely wrong, since the upper bounds of F2 is 157 mp/h. In addition, it caused 19 injuries and not 14. 4 tornadoes touched down from france to netherlands (2 F1 in netherlands, 1 Unrated in france & 1 F2 in luxembourg), and the tornado started in france before entering luxembourg. The section could have been much more better if well done research was done.

That first clip - the supposed tornado in Amsterdam - was not actually a twister but in fact my very good chum 'Rasta Ricky' just starting up one of his legendary home-made bongs. It's about the size of a Honda Goldwing and more powerful. This one was what we in the trade call a 'runaway bong' the thermodynamics of which are able to create these so called 'pot spouts'. These can knock out powerlines and low flying geese and have been known to cause entire suburbs to turn to UmpaLumpas. Green and purple ones. So watch out, if you see an old hippy with dreads and smelling like a 30 year old jockstrap, walk away and if he asks you for a light, tell him to piss off.
