the in-game camera and it's relation to spider-man has been beautifully expanded by the developers. theyre really experimenting with his distance from the camera and his position in frame, even 'messing up' the shot where objects can appear in front of him - eg. the camera is so far back that if he goes fast enough round a corner he might be partially obscured by a building. reminds me of a video essay on conveying speed in video games. kzread.info/dash/bejne/l22D1Muyg9SymrQ.htmlsi=LCXD7U44pJ9sC2cz pretty sure it's this one

I think one thing we can all agree upon is a good Spiderman game makes the world feel a little bit brighter

I started this game expecting to almost never want to use the web wings. By the time i was half way through i was constantly switching between the wings and regular swinging. Its insane how much better they make swinging, especially through areas like the parks.

The swing speed difference compared to the first Insomniac Spider-Man game is insane.

Being able to play a game that authentically makes me swing like Spider-Man was the dream growing up. Most importantly in Spider-Man 2, I love how we can set the web assist on a 1-10 scale. I feel more realistic and fast at the same time, with a challenge. It's like I don't even beed Mods anymore! Thanks, Insomniac.

Actually there is zero web assist in the game as well so you should be saying 0-10. Thanks, insomniac for creating the best spider man game of all time and thank you, insomniac for creating one of the best superhero games of all time.

I love that you now have the option to make webslinging into something to truly master rather than a dope way to transport across new york.

I definitely think they improved the swinging a lot in this game. There’s a lot of similarities but there’s tuns of new stuff too. And the swinging speed is so fast now

The way peter uses his webs to fall faster from a building is so filled with the exaggerated swagger of a depressed unemployed adult

Geezzzz man's already went through the whole experience of the game

Being able to modify web assist is one of the best things about SM2. Turning it completely off is the true web swinging experience. I'm still trying to master it. Overall, the game gets an 8.5. Insomniac missed a few marks with the story side missions and your limited use of Venom.

Its just not a suitable sidequest in a Spider-Man game. Even then if it had story relevance it would be pretty okay. But it didn't. So.

I had swing assist at level 1 for a while, but moved it up to 2 because every time I did the loop, I would smash into a rooftop and die 😂. It doesn't happen as often, if at all, on level 2

I started playing the game yesterday and I loved the first game. I missed the DLCS and Miles moralis to play for myself. But after starting the game, it felt like home. The same great feeling like in the first game. Just the movement alone was worth it. And then you get a Triple A cinematic story on top.

Being able to bring the swinging back to PS2 Spider-Man 2 levels is one of the best things about this game. Could do it all day.

Fun fact: that wolverine suit is from a comic where Miles was Wolverine and that's the suit that he wore

You're the first player I've seen, not spam the hell out of the wings, robo arms, and mile's electric powers, but use them to enhance moving around places, if the webs isn't favorable

Respect for keeping that death in the video.

From this perspective, I think that the fall damage system is way too harsh on some occasions: if Spidey jumps with the full charged jump and lands on the same spot, the player loses 5 HP.

What really hurt me about the swing assist is that everyone like a day after release was like “bro I use no swing assist at all! It only took me 1 day to master perfectly! 🤓” but seeing an actual pro like you is goated.. or are you?
