I wouldn’t recommend using continuous dodge if you like to swing around and keep momentum. There’s a new trick called tether to swing around corners of buildings, and if you have that setting enabled it can make it a bit “dodgy”, it won’t work 100% of the time because you have to hold circle to do it, and if you also have to hold circle to continuously dodge then it will get confused. I find it much easier to just spam the dodge button in combat, it’s more precise and doesn’t lead to a lot more mishaps. Good luck my fellow Spider-Men!

If you hold circle and move the analog stick either left or right depending where a building is located and you can tether no problem, if you only hold Circle no matter continuous doge or not tether will be “dodgy”

You can do the same thing in the first Spider-Man game where you tether around corners. It's a skill in the first one also. Unfortunately a lot of the first game is the same thing here

I think the best gadget by far is the sonic bomb. At max rank it has a massive explosion that disarms enemies and knocks them insanely far back (amazing for instantly knocking a group of enemies off a roof) and creates 3 proximity mines that also do huge aoe knock backs. Then you just combo with web shooters and/or the ricochet web gadget to take them all out. Did I mention it stunlocks the final boss? For most of the game I only used this gadget I eventually started using the others but they were not as good. The grabber is second best, though, it is better on Miles I think.

This is now my favourite game series of all time. Go Spidey! 💟🌌☮️

NGL, after playing SM2 with what I'm used to now, it's going to be hard playing SMPS4 and MM. Not trying to flame the first 2 games, because they are good, if not, great. But for starters, the increased swinging speed here is one of the main reasons why I'm gonna have a hard time revisiting the first 2 games.

@@Invixeble I think it looks ugly & cheap, don’t get me wrong I’m not against the suit being damaged when there’s a purpose for the story or a certain points you get a rip or two, especially if it’s during boss fights but when random thugs get two lucky shots in & your suit looks like it lost a fight with a German shepherd it’s a little over the top

You still have the black venom abilities. Go to the Abilities Tab in the Menu and swap out whatever ability you want including the black venom abilities. And when you say black venom abilities I'm assuming you mean the multi-grab enemy slam down thing, and the other shit. I forget.

I liked that and I would have changed it to finishing 2 dudes at once instead of chain. Would give players new animations too. Hoping for spider-man 3.

Got it Thursday at 9pm. 100% by Saturday 6am. That includes all suits and colors all zones finished, and of course the game. Only at default difficulty though. To say I was hooked is putting it mildly. I loved this game and want to play it again already. Good story too. I just walked around town admiring the details for a few hours after that. Throwing anything I could at people, just for fun. 😜

I relate so hard. Back in like 2018 for Christmas I had gotten my very own ps4 and it came with spider man. The Christmas party ended at like 8:30 and I set up my ps4 until like 9. I stayed up all night and finished the game in like 14 hours. Just absolutely loved it. I’ve beaten that game like 6 times now just a masterpiece. One of my personal goats

Use 120hz vrr uncapped performance and 85 contrast

You can also surf by web swinging to it. I think you surf as long as your momentum is forward.

yea if they werer going to make suit powers more like gadgets versus how miles game handled it then they really should have kept some of the old suit powers as just generic options for both, like the spider punk wave attack being L1+O due to its aoe and miles can have a version in which he does a dj wave burst.

​@@zaster101they did a cheap imitation of abilities in the form of the super blast powers, Miles has this game's Web Blossom and Peter gets Antivenom which is basically the Quad Damage ability with refill while using impact webs

I think the tech box map perk also reveals spiderbots as well

Hey I found this crazy glitch just randomly changing your outfit at the start of the venom events it'll just automatically finish the event every time so instead of playing for 2 full min I did it by accident once then tried it again and I finished the event in 3 seconds instead of the 2 min

I've found having continuous dodge turned on interferes with the swinging corner tether

You got one thing wrong. Idk if you just missed them during playing but his evolved venom abilities do leave behind traces of venom you can pick up for health or ability recharge.

is suit damage getting remove by healing an option to turn off?

I have discovered a way to stay in the air permanently, but it's a ton of work. First you need to have the skill Aerial Escapades that allow you to recharge spider jump and spider dash by doing tricks. Pick up speed and start gliding, upwards... when you're at the peak height, do one spider-jump and one spider-dash (in that specific order, the dash will give your glide extra speed), then start gliding again. Pull up on stick and gain some more height. Then while gliding, do just one trick somersault (forwards or backwards, doesn't matter) and immediately open glider. Repeat maybe about 2-3 more times and your spider jump and spider dash ability will be recharged. Repeat jump and dash again, etc. I've tried this and you can literally get from one end of the map to the other end without wind tunnels, straight from the ground. Would also help if you have the suit tech for traversal that allows for longer and higher spider dash and jump. Have fun.

I didn't know that you can switch frame rates of the Spider-Verse suits, I know the lower frames is canon to the movies, but I hate it while playing. Being able to change it to match everything else in the game will have me actually using the suit now.

Okay i can't seem to do the wing suit stop i helt the left stick back and pressed circle nothing...

Lots of this is cool to find out yourself but some stuff like the x and square move are hidden or unfamiliar to new players (how many of those there are)

You can do a web whip in the middle of a directional yank. Hold triangle, press R2 or L2, then R1

Dive down with l3 and pull the left stick down and hold square

You can also cross water by surfing, then jumping and doing a web zip with x, and then when you land on the water you surf again

Dude I keep deploy the web wing during combat, pressing ∆ during combat supposed to be web strike, why keep deloying the web wing, so now I need to change the web wing to hold r2 + ∆

Weird, maybe it’s a bug. I got a bug where it wouldn’t let me swing. Halfway thru a swing it would web zip. I seriously thought my controller was broken till I restarted the game then it went away.

This game really strives for you to have a balance between spider arm abilities and venom abilities and Miles venom abilities and Miles evolved venom abilities😂😂😂

The auto dodge by keeping ⭕️ pushed makes you basically invincible, that’s why it’s not on by default I strongly recommend not to use it since it makes timing in combat useless

Miles morales has more options to the traversal air tricks.. and thats fine. Just noticed that

Hope they add a feature that lets us determine the chances of the other Spider-Man showing up to help us during free roam crimes, so far I have only be able to activate it when I’m Peter, never when playing Miles has Peter showed up after I started the crime and never have I crashed Peter’s thing Also for the water you don’t need to be gliding to surf, you can do it while swinging, so long as you are going fast enough and have some momentum built up

If you disable haptics in the PlayStation settings for your controller the game will disable all puzzles and qtes that require them automatically. Even if you don’t actually disable the puzzles in game. I dislike vibration and haptics do I had this disabled years ago. Didn’t realize there were missing puzzles and such until watching others play the game

Do front flips and backflips quickly and do the spider jump mid air back to back, you’ll level up fast… I’m already max level bc of it and I’m only in the beginning of the game

The web wing trick isn't working for me. I pulled the left analog stick + o button and he just lifts up, but not slow down 😢 I was really excited to use this truck 😭😭

That we wings air brake doesn't work when you have it set to hold. On hold you cannot air brake at all.

This seems like a helpful video but I had to stop watching because the unlockable suits in the game were being spoiled. Videos such as this should be done using the default suit option(s) to ensure surprises aren't being ruined for those of us that haven't yet played the game - in my case, because AC Mirage has to be finished/Platinum'ed first.

Personally I prefer the gadgets from the first game, felt more like Spidey. I get they were OP but I wish the had returned and been nerfed rather than completely removed. Also not a fan of the ock arms. Wish you could remove them
