Hi there friends!
Here is a video for daily life! These idioms will make you sound more friendly, warm, and approachable - and of course more native! They are also considered 'advanced English' because they demonstrate a more impressive knowledge and command of the language. These lovely idioms are for daily situations but also deeper conversations! :-)
As usual I am teaching you English that is IN USE today, used by my friends and family and people I come across in life. The accent is the British Accent usually found in the Southern part of England which is called Modern Received Pronunciation. I hope you enjoy my video!

@@englishwithkatharine May I have your WA Mrs. Katherine? I love studying English.
I guess you are unique in a good way. Thank you, Kath. I love learning English language. I’m originally from Ethiopia 🇪🇹 and I have lived here in the UK just over a decade. I still enjoy learning and absorbing culture, language and tradition. What I liked about this particular video is, the subtle details of pronouncing words or phrases usage and the context as well as scenarios you give us. The other day, I recommended you to my pupils to watch your videos so that they understand English better as I offer private tuition to a certain pupils after work. Thank you so much, once more.🙏🙏👊🏿👊🏿👍🏿👍🏿👊🏿👍🏿

Hello, Katharine! For me, idioms are the most difficult part of English. But, here, you presented the lesson interestingly! You gave pronunciation tips and that is so important for me as a foreign learner. And the story examples that you added in the explanation were also interesting and important for clarity. And, I think “once in a blue moon” is my favourite. Well, perhaps it reminds me of “Blue Moon of Kentucky”, a country song that I like best. I agree with you that moon usually refers to romanticism. Thank you for the lesson and have a lovely weekend!

Hello, Katharine. Thank you so very much for sharing us in this video, such as informative and a lot for your lovely teaching. The way you teach English is excellent and very useful for non native speaker. We know that the Idioms are the most difficult language to speak English in conversation, however I find it very useful for the content. I truly loved the contents additional I really enjoyed this video again in a big conversation with their effort voices.
