In Switzerland social workers have 3 specializations : - educator (more focused on the person and daily life), - social assistant (more focused on administrative work) - and animator (more focused on the group and animations)

Thank you Jasmine 😊. If you don't mind can you make a video discussing what is the difference between a social worker and a counselor. I recall in one of your videos, you mentioned how the role of the social worker is not to give advice to the client. You just do your best at assisting them with the services that are available geared towards their situation. I have researched what is the difference but it can get confusing. Thank you.

Hi Karen, Social work theories underpin counselling and this is why social workers can be counsellors too. But I am happy to do a video clarifying the advice giving aspect. Counsellors generally do not give advice either. xx

Hope this helps x

Jasmine Ama True it’s just a struggle because I want to help many populations. The main population I have always and still want to help are people who are homeless. I also want to help people with cognitive and/physical disabilities, teens with depression and the LGBTQA community. I think we will get a list of agencies and yes we will be supervised. And I will make sure I won’t be just making coffee and copies. Thanks girl:) hugs
