It's actually bad that they printed the Xs on the boards because that makes it less flexible to build custom scenarios. :/

My thought exactly. I think it was a big epic fail. I mean, we can still buil flexible scenarios but those Xs will create some confusion!

I believe Zombicide Wulfsburg was the first to implement elevation rules. I also do not recall any 3D terrain for it either.

Yeah Cleveland is only like a 5 hour drive from Toronto so went down to film with both him and Alex for a little bit.

What Zombicide is missing is to take a page out of Posthuman's book and when a player dies, they join the enemy, and now they get a "group victory" if they make everyone fail lol...

still don't have any Zombiecide, and I wonder when the Marvel one comes out if that would be the one that I would invest in

I've never played Zombicide. Would you recommend starting with White Death?

If you're interested in the system, it certainly wouldn't be a bad place to start. I've only played the one scenario and read the rulebook, but it is very reminiscent of Black Plague and that's a good thing. Plus it's honestly always good to get in on a Zombicide kickstarter vs the retail, although with shipping the way it is, that might be changing.

Zombicide 2nd edition retails for quite cheap, $60-$70 range. It also uses 4 heroes instead of the mandatory 6 in this one. Its a good starting point that you can get your hands right away, as even stores like gamestop have it.

Not sure on Abominations, but there's 7 or 8 necromancer cards. They come up quite a bit. But just the one necromancer before the stretch goals

I have owned hundreds of board games and most I have played my moneys worth out of them. I have always looked at board games as an activity that I am doing with others instead of going to the movies or other similar activity, they are a great deal financially and do even better with social interaction, growing friendships. When I need to get rid of older games to make room for the new ones I gift them to friends and other fellow gamers as I know that it will bring so much more for them and the community as a whole. I have never resold my games. If I need money, I will work for it or invest and not “scalp”by taking advantage of others to my benefit.

Some Abominations from Black Plague that we were contemplating adding in to the mix. We didn't end up doing that though because it was hard enough.

Haha, that's my real plan to avoid backing... I don't know how cross compatible it will be though.

Like with any CMON Kickstarter nowadays: Maybe sometime for 70 - 80ish in retail on a discount. KS Core Box is about 180 $ with shipping and VAT, and that is counting on CMON not jacking up the shipping in the PM, so likely more. That's nuts. And SGs don't seem worth ~100 $ extra so far, they seem to fill the box up with dozens poorly balanced survivors again. Extra Aboms are cool, but for this price I'll gladly pass, thanks. 😅

The shipping is already jacked up lol. Yeah it's hard to believe people still vastly overpay for their stuff these days. In the past 5 years or so, they've gone from being decent, to meh, to poor, to terrible values. Definitely have a built in market though.

$70 on retail is a fair assumption on their core box. Right now for US its about $150 with shipping so one has to consider if the stretch goals are worth that price difference. It does seem they are only offering a single abomination on the core to force folks on the stretch goals.

These are value decisions - but C'mon know how to market - if you have BP and MD2 you will get a lot of crossover - again adding value - the specialise in mix and match or whatever it's called - most of us don't care - but getting second core box , crossover packs - you could easily recoup money - too much work - except exclusive crossover packs $10 - sell for $30+ or whatever

The thumbnail of this video is mildly infuriating, the text: "black plague Vs white death" has black plague left and white death right, while in the picture white death is on the left and black plague on the right. Other than that, great video, didn't back the project personally and I don't think it would've changed my opinion, but the information and structure was great!

The thumbnail reminds me of when a movie poster has the name of the female lead over the male character and the name of the male lead over the female character. I’m sure you did that on purpose as nothing is ever a mistake around here!!! Either way just know that did not go unnoticed 😉

Meh. Nothing worth giving up on Black Plague. Any of the changes like 'not splitting' can just be applied to any version. We incorporate the Undead or Alive noise system in BP.

White Death is 20 bucks cheaper, and feels more familiar to me because of Black Plague. I wasn't a fan of being the zombie in marvel zombies on a theme level. So because I know more of the experience I'd get and because I enjoy the experience of black plague I'd go for White Death

Ah the whole universe of content creators are congregating into a confluence of advertising and peer pressure. But I can see past it for Chris. Plus I likely will back WD.

Number 1,the name. Number 2, the art. Number 3, the minis. Lol Seriously, zombicide Undead or Alive has all of the changes you listed.

there are SO MANY things that I HATED about this new corebox. • Why change the card system for necros and abominations? For balance sake? So make the new system an option only. Dont shove it down our throats. Now necros and abominations will be SO RARE if you have many core boxes and expansions. • other necros dont make more zombies spawn now? They just walk to the beacon like all zombies? What is the point of being a necromancer now then? So long for that feeling of rush to kill new necromancers ASAP so you dont lose the game or the map doesnt get completly filled up with zombies. They are useless besides the defiler. And the defiler cant be played with older core boxes • Snow tiles make it weird to mix with older tilers bc of biome/temperature differences. Also, the corruption tile looks like salad leafs • WHY PRINT OBJECTIVES ON THE BOARD??? SERIOUSLY???? • Why remove doors? Thats so dumb... it was cool to risk opening a door and not knowing what was on the other side • Also the new ks exclusive abominations and survivors kinda suck... no pop culture references? Come on, man... • The new zombies/runners/fatties have NO DIFFERENCE to the BP zombies? Thats just feels lazy. Make something interesting with them. Anything. Even the orcs had a horde system and damage differences to make them stand out Thank god zombicide is a boardgame bc some of those changes we can fix with house rules. A LOT of house rules. Others we will just have to deal with it though...

Oh yeah, removing doors! I forgot to mention that one in the video, that's a big one! I think the other necros could spawn an additional portal and have the walking, it would be easy to do that, but I think because of the battlements, you need that creeping darkness to take it down and put the pressure on everyone.

What do the broccoli tiles do? Also, seems odd to have so many naked people fighting in the snow.

I call them the cabbage patch kids of doom haha. Basically the base necromancer spawns at one of the points and then pushes the spawn point along towards that beacon with the green fog. What terrain the fog touches is destroyed (aka the walls) and people and zombies can move freely into it.

Oh well they just freaking reprint black plague play Green Hornet make a second edition bad enough I can't can't buy a copy on eBay cuz they're so damn expensive

The mixed asian theme isn't really doing it for me. And the walls not being 3D seems like a missed opportunity. Easy pass

Yeah in the rulebook for Black Plague it says specifically "the game is lost when all survivors are eliminated". So maybe you're thinking of a specific scenario.
