Double narration is distracting

Despite being a relatively short story, I would give an honorable mention to Brian Azzarello's *"Batman: Knight of Vengeance"* and the mystery of who the Joker is in the Flashpoint universe.

One of your all-time best lists. Love the dual narration.

Wait a second, why isn't the court of owls on this list. Like on of the biggest (if not recent) mysteries of DC's history, I thought that would belong as to all the corresponding mysteries that showed up due to it. Or if you want to stretch the out a possible Inclusion to the list you could of brought out the massive mystery of Dark Knights Metal. I say that due to the mysteries of the dark multiverse or the mysterious Nth metal or just so so much more. However that Is just my take for the listing.

Alright, cool. But was that the original intention of the work? Kinda of a bullshit defense, innit? If someone tells you a story and a different person chimes in and says “But they lived!”, do you take the word of the second person? Or do you acknowledge that the original person likely had his own intentions when he told the story and the second person’s continuation of the story probably diverts a little from those original intentions?

TheRezro yeh it isn’t a mystery story though there entire argument is based off a fan theory by Grant Morrison years after the story was written that caused ppl to interpret the ending differently. The story is literally in continuity and it’s message is said through Jim Gordon so it’s rlly obvious he didn’t strangle him 😂. Maybe he was originally intended to even though that’s a stretch but the story is far less powerful if u interpret it that way I think.

The only proof needed to even doubt this perspective... Is that Batman for not trusting the Team managed to almost end the team by having countermessures against them. I mean its in his character to do such a thing. Which although is endearing it still is a massive security risk. Easiest way to beat the Justice League is find a way to control Batman... Not an easy task but not entirely impossible.

The script to the killing joke specifically states that batman doesn't kill the joker

Now that Robin 2 had turned into the (new) Red Hood and he has no problem killing, wouldn't it be the perfect opportunity to ask him if he did kill, while he was still Batman's sidekick ? It wouldn't matter to him, anymore, whether he is called a killer or not, anyway.

And yet the story ‘made of wood’ is better than all of these.

I'd love to see a animated movie for Long Halloween. And get Btas cast to come back for it.

Speaking about Joker Junior I personally think that Jason Todd work better as such. He is someone who has grudge against Batman, dubious morality and was connected to Red Hood gang, like also Joker is what also would be the good reason why Joker would try take him out so fast, when he usually toying with Batman. Anyway I understand that Tim Drake was Robin at the time so they work with him instead, but Tim never would feel convincing in this position as much as I think he would work way better as Teen Titans Robin then Jason. Just the point the obvious. Also it is something they implied in Arnhem games.

@@firefoe2duffell453 I thought people would read the book to find out, but since you asked... At that scene when Batman and Joker are laughing together, Batman actually DOES start strangling Joker. He doesn't kill him, though, since Gordon is there to talk him down from it and reminds him that he wanted Joker brought in by the book, which means he has to be alive for that to happen.

Why must people keep talking about "the debate" on whether Batman killed Joker at the ending of The Killing Joke or not. The book is conical, it was always meant to be conical, and the Joker continues to make appearances in comics today. Clearly Batman did not kill him.

I'm so sick of hearing about the "debate" on killing joke. Alan Moore, who I might remind people wrote it, has flat out stated that Bats did NOT kill the joker. There is no mystery!

Exactly. Alan Moore said that the book was always meant to be canon and that Batman did not kill Joker. Also if you look at the script for the book it says that Batman and Joker collapse on each other and that they're holding each other up, then mentions the sirens. Nowhere does it say Batman kills Joker.

My case and point will be that hugely debated topic of the pronunciation of the word 'gif' the creator of the word flat out stated how it sounds yet people still debate it and the dictionary has both pronunciations listed.

Well to be fair seeing as how DC confirmed that the joker is more than one person it is plausible that batman did kill a joker

For the LAST TIME: Batman does NOT kill Joker at the end of “The Killing Joke”. The events that happened in the book effected the then current DC timeline. It was NOT a “Elseworlds” story or a “stand alone issue”, there was nothing about it from the publicity & promotion to the actual story itself indicating it was outside of regular continuity. And the fact that the author himself, years later when this “conspiracy theory” started, came out and said Batman did NOT kill The Joker, pretty much kills this “mystery”.

If you think Batman killed the Joker at the end of the Killing Joke then you understand nothing about the Dark Knight

We DO know if Batman killed The Joker at the end of The Killing Joke. The story is cannon and not set in an alternate universe. There are multiple sources that confirm this. Do some research before making this videos.

@The Credible Hulk Jules is a different kind of awkward. He just seems random, that's probably why they manage to fit him into all of the channels, but I like that about him. Jules is awesome, in my book.

Marvel is much better than DC but the only thing What is good about DC is batman nothing else

Anyway, both franchises have some advantages and disadvantages and as old Marvel fan I can't say honestly that one is better then another. Clarke Kent is rational person who created idyllic Superman persona because he need people to trust in someone who who can destroy the world order. But presuming that Superman is really a scout boy idiot is shortsighted (Captain American in MCU is here example of similar gimmick). Batman does the same, just his persona for his rational detective mind is based on fear, as he need prevent shady people from doing they shady things. Both in fact poke fun from they own personas, because otherwise they are rational guys and friends. That is if comic isn't poorly written. "Don't get why people always think they have to hate Marvel or DC just because they are fans of the other one" Because they are teenage wannabees. It isn't more complicate then that. Fake dedication is used to cover they ignorance about the subject, or not being capable to afford another console, or about what same old shit we talking about now?
