@@johnassal5838 They never actually say what happened to him. Most fans assume he was reassigned, as he and O'Neill kind of hated each other. (Not the actors, mind you. Just their characters.) The show never states anything, however.

"Jaye Davison is so good" ... this becomes kinda funny when you find out in that recent interview with Dean Devlin that we never would have got Goa'uld without Davison. Apparently he acted so oddly, that Devlin and Emmerich turned him from just a human working as the alien's representative on Earth into someone possessed by an alien. So thanks Jaye!

Sergeant Reilly’s death in Stargate Universe was a real gut punch. Gets me every time.

I do not remember the episode or the name of the bad guy but I do remember the scene. The bad guy says to tealc " where are you going!" Tealc responds " I am leaving, you are about to explode." Great scene.

I am LOVING all this Stargate content!! Keep it coming!!

For me the ultimate moment with Apophis was the guy behind him spoke for the first thousands of years, because Apophis (Gld.) was dying. That was... oh my god, the things this guy had to see.

Shepard didn't "wake up" in the future. He simply stepped into the Stargate as the wormhole was going through a solar flare. When he came out of the Atlantis gate he was 10,000 years in the future.

I know, so many little slip ups in this video.

My Favorite of the big name series, followed by Star Trek and Star Wars. SG-1and Atlantis had such good characters, stories and humor. SGU was different, more serious, not in a bad way just really different then what us fans were used to at the time i think from a Stargate show. Season 2 was a big improvement on the first season and was well on the way to making the series great, but was sadly canceled before season 3. MORE Stargate content PLEASE!

4 Detective John Sheppard Vegas, First the Wraith was part of an invitation force in that reality. Second, he was trying to contact the Wraith in his home reality, not the Prime one. Finally, The Johnny Cash song was 'Solitary Man' which has pretty much the same meaning as 'Lonely Man' but it wasn't the name of the song in that scene.

Came here to say these words, pretty much in this order.

For moment 2 you forgot one important detail. It was also a suicide attack. Lantesh was going to set off a biological weapon that would kill the Gua'uld and Jaffa at the gate so the rest could escape. It's not just that he's going to die but that he's sacrificing himself to save the others. There's a mix of elements in that scene that are very satisfying.

More stargate content would be amazing. Genuinely one of the greatest series in history imo.

Michaels army wasn't wrath, they were humans he mutated into wrath hybrids. He hated the other wrath

He hated them because they treated him as second-rate after he went back to being Wraith but still looked part-human. His hybrids didn’t even need to feed on humans anymore

Why does everyone ignore Stargate universe?!! They had a great I'm dead and I know it moment. In the first episode, a senator, while on blood thinners, goes through the Stargate and crashes onto the hard floor of the ship, causing internal bleeding. The ship's enviromental controls are damaged and the only way to fix it, is to go into a room that will be certain death. The senator, knowing he's going to die either way, goes in the room and saves everyone, sacrificing himself.

Yes, SGU was a very well done show with tuns of potential, and short sighted fans just couldn’t handle the darkness. Some really great characters on that show.

Maybe people forget it because it wasn't very good. No likeable characters, almost every episode is a ticking clock, weak premise. How many times can you rehash the same plot? So many hours until next jump, a planet they have to get resources from but of course there's a problem, someone messes with the communication stones, someone betrays someone else, maybe someone dies or gets left behind. Tune in next week for more of the same on Stargate: Ticking Clock Universe. At least SG1 and Atlantis had a theme of hope that you felt they might achieve their goal of defeating the Goa'uld or the Wraith, with SGTCU there was too much nihilism and I'm willing to bet that's ultimately what turned people off to it.

I do be believe that one could try to get in the "i am dead" moment if you could make a little pause to breathe between the parts of the list. i kinda feel rushed from death to death without the chance to "appreciate" the moment.

In Meridian Daniel know from the start that he will die, and accepted the fact. Oma appeared to him much later. And after that he still wasn't convinced about his future. He deicided only in the last moment to ascend. RepliWeir hasn't died. She is just inactive. She can be reactivated just like Niam earlier in The Return Part 2.

@@artembentsionov She knew it is only a temporary thing. She was there when Niam came out from the stasis.This is just another thing that a new Stargate series could explore. Even in a form when somebody else find them and accidentally reactivating the whole bunch. They are inside the Pegasus Dwarf Galaxy, where a lot of spacefaring civilizations live. Not between galaxies like the Tria.

Spotting a few floating bodies in space might be next to impossible, especially if you’re not looking for them. And over the years they could drift somewhere unpleasant if they’re not in a stable orbit

@@artembentsionov Well, those bodies are in the close vicinity of a spacegate. You absolutely don't need to search the whole galaxy for them.

The Vegas Wraith was played by Neil Jackson, who played Khalek in an SG-1 episode, an evil telekinetic in Push, the main villain in Blade: The Series, and Icicle in Stargirl

I would love to have a WhatCulture Stargate channel (GateCulture?) like the one you have for WhoCulture and TrekCulture. Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis are two of my most favorite SciFi shows of all time. I was just starting to like Stargate Universe when it got canceled.

Helps to actually watch the episodes in question. The wraith in vegas wasn't trying to communicate with a different reality, it was how the transmission was made (and possibly the exploding caravan) that caused it to jump between realities. Shepherd stepped through the gate and timejumped similar to how SG-1 did thanks to a solar flare, holo-mackay explains this to him. Lantesh & elliot choose to sacrifice themselves by releasing a symbiote poison and gave the others a chance to get to safety. The synopsis of sokars end was a total mess.

Regarding Ethon, the planet wasn't called Ethon. It was calle Tegalus. Ethon (or Aethon) is the name of the eagle from Greek Mythology that would continually rip the belly of Prometheus open.

I’m ambivalent about it. On the one hand, it would be nice. On the other, I don’t want them to screw it up. They’d probably introduce a new cast, with maybe a cameo or two from some of the originals

Apophis and SG-1 ships were flung into another galaxy by the blast wave of the exploding sun. they encountered a replicator infested alien ship in that other galaxy. and the planet Apophis crashed into was Delmak which was Apophis Homebase and sokars former homeworld.

Nice vid but you're mistaken at 10:07 where you say "both Apophis' mother ship and SG1's _teltac..."_ A teltac is a scout ship while they were actually on a Hatak, which has a "peltac" for a command center (if that's what you actually said) but it's not the ship type either way.

I don’t think the Wraith in Vegas intended to send that message across dimensions. He wanted to let the other Wraith know where he was and where the chair was. Somehow the power of the transmitter managed to punch through the dimensional barrier. Maybe because he built it out of Earth-made parts, so it didn’t work as intended

My favourite character Tracy, she was criminally underused in the early seasons, then. just as we were getting to know her a little better, discovering that she wasn;t this woman who always wore a white coat and spent every waking moment in the infirmary, they went and killed her off. It was such a pointless death, it had no creative purpose, it was just done for shock value.

The only big one I think you missed is when teal'c kills Jack in the alternate universe

Yeah, the moment Jack realizes that his gung-ho attitude was what doomed him. He wanted to strike back at the Goa’uld so badly he nuked Chulak, an inconsequential village planet. The nuke killed Teal’c wife and son, removing any reason for him to want to rebel and giving him every reason to hate the Tau’ri

all this deaths are garbage. what about elizabeth weir from an alternate timeline that give her life to be awaken one time each 3000 years to move the ZPM's that power atlantis so the expedition can have a surviving city? what about the REAL elizabeth weir giving her body to the azuran replicators to stop them while the team scaped with a fully powered ZPM needed from the asuran city? what about the slow and painful sam's father death caused by his dead tok'ra symbiote? what about jack o'neill episode where ba'al kills over and over oneill and his tokra symbiote to interrogate him just to revive him with the sarcofagus? what about daniel jackson when he dies on the othala replicators ship with replicarter? replicarter dies as well in that episode. what about the orici/adria dies since ba'al symbiote controlling her poison her to death so the symbiote could not be released? she becomes the only ori/leader of the ori galaxy cult. ignored. what about the nox episode, where ALL sg1 team dies, then is ressurected by the nox then banned from the planet? what about the alternate time line when ALL sg1 team dies in 2010 preventing the ashen race to take our planet into their "condeferation" where they exterminate the goa' uld and give us advanced tech and world peace, just to give us a vaccine that doubles everyone life span, but with the side effect of neutering humanity so we go extinct and they keep the planet to take a choosen kids and use them as farmers while they live on their perfect citadel on their planet? what about the episode where hathor creates a fake SGC and tries to make sg1 believe they where revived after 80 years, and we are made to believe since different perspectives all the other characters are dead? it would be an interesting inverted point of view.
