Музыка

#Nightwish is not complete without their orchestration, but this time let's focus on some of their guitar #riffs by Emppu! Here are 10 of my favourites! Enjoy!
I use no backing tracks in this #cover video. All guitar tracks are recorded. Drums and bass are programmed Midi tracks!

Most power metal bands don't use many riffs but Nightwish has some bangers

These sound absolutely awesome! I wish I could play like you. I try to play all of these in my covers but since I'm still a fairly beginner on the guitar they really suck haha! Do you have any tips for getting this typical "Nightwish" sound? Amp settings etc.? :D

Once is the most famous (a classic). Imagenaerum is a fan favorite. Or, if you want a general overwiew, you can search the album Decades (it's a compilation album)

Since there were 3 different singers in Nightwish with their own styles in each era I would recommend one album per singer. So: Once for Tarja, Imaginaerum for Anette and Endless Forms Most Beautiful for Floor. Or , like Sara suggested, the Decades compilation ;)

@@Adyraan dividing by singer, those would be my exact recommendations too :) but in my opinion, even though the singer style changes, the overall nightwish sound/vibe remains, so for the casual listener I guess those 2 I said or the Decades complitation is good overview of what Nightwish is about :) Btw, thanks for the awesome video!

That nowadays distortion allow anything. You cannot play wrong with it as a fucking note sound as thick as a chord which I found very superficial. The 80s-90s still remain the best sound! No chances for the lows,as to play great to sound great.
