Awesome playing and great selection from all the albums. I forgot how much I loved the riff in Damien. One of my favorites is "The Reckoning" on the Glorious Burden album. That whole album is so great and the guitar tone is what eventually drove me to get the pickups Jon Schaffer used in his guitars.

My favourite riffs are from the first two albums, more technical and inspired, in my opinion: Desert Rain, The Path I Choose, Travel in Stygian, Colors, Life & Death, Written On The Walls... Great playing, by the way!

Great selection, my dude!! I loooove Iced Earth. Jon's signature gallops are what got me into guitar and much of my songwriting reflects the influence Iced Earth has had on my playstyle. I think "Wolf" from The Horror Show was the first song I ever heard and I instantly loved it. It was a completely new kind of sound for me at the time.

"It was a completely new kind of sound for me at the time". Exactly the same for me, I think 'Damien' was the first song I ever heard. I had been listening to Metallica, Megadeth etc.. But Iced Earth's sound was something I hadn't heard before, so unusual. I still listen to them 20 years later.

I'll give honorable mentions to both travel in stygian and dante's inferno. I always get goosebumps listening to them. Pure evil is killer... I love the oversang line's under/over pure evil :D
