Loved your video. Great projects! I cringed watching you paint over your carpet. I would have dumped my paint on it. Lol Good job.❤❤❤
What could be more wonderful and amazing than enjoying a day the Lord has made and appreciating the hard work and creativity of a fellow desert dweller! May God be in your heart and soul.

Oh that sounds like the perfect way to spend the season!
Would have liked to see the embellishments on the hutch re- attached. When adding trim to fabric I always start in the middle of back and go around never on an edge corner.
You did wonderful work on all your pieces. The little hutch is my favorite.

The dining room table is beautiful, however I've learned to fill in the cracks. One spill of milk and food it's awful digging out the cracks. Then the milk never seems to come out then it smells of spoiled milk. I love your work , you have a definite artistic talent.

I had to watch this twice !! You have such a great eye ! I really love that light green color you painted the hutch. It reminds me that milky green vintage glass😍 the funny thing is my style is quite different from that but I still love it- it came out so stunningly opposite from where it started. It also went from being a traditional dark wood piece to a show stopper - you also chose such beautiful pulls and knobs for it ! I loved so many of your projects but that one really stood out because it’s not a traditional furniture color and I absolutely love it❤

Such a resourceful, talented, cute family team turning out beautiful work, one after the other. Just wear eye goggles too when you spray because the respirator protects your lungs but your eyes have blood vessels that will absorb the bad chemicals, even outdoors. And if it saturates your hair and clothes, you’ll end up breathing it in later.

I love watching this stuff! With the cost of new furniture.... outrageous.... it's a wonderful thing to find a good strong piece of old furniture and make it new again. I hunted a new coffee table....for a couple months. What flimsy partical board....fake wood. I just finished redoing the beautiful ling one i had, painted it a lovely off white....followed my Shabby Chic..... it's gorgeous! Thanks for the inspiration 🤗🌄 Ps...i found one coffee table that was "distressed pine"....for $600.... I wish i was kidding. It looked sad... like a table left too long in a damp, leaking shed.....come on people...Ha.

Hi I have a very old chest of draws that have numerous coats of emulsion paint o n them what is the best way to get them back to the original wood? Thanks
@DesertDIY

The best way to remove thick layers of paint is to use a gel paint stripper. Apply it very thick with an old cruddy brush that you are going to throw away and then wrap with saran wrap to keep it from drying. come back and check every 30 min or so. repeat the process until you get down to wood.

How much can you spray with a can of shellac? Curious to know as a can is $30 plus in my area. Seems steep.
