That player is Mario Gotze, who scored the winning goal in the 2014 world cup.
Neymar seriously had what it took to be the best player in the world. At Santos as a teenager, he finished top 10 in Ballon Dor voting and the best part about this is he was playing in the Brazilian league outside of Europe. He was a superstar back then and after he went to Barcelona, he was able to get that exposure and prove himself in a top league on one of the biggest clubs in the world and he was that good at the time just an unbelievable talent producing some of the best bits of football I've ever seen, the connection he had with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in attack, those 3 and Barcelona were unstoppable and it was the perfect fit for him. Unfortunately, for Neymar impatience and poor decision making has contributed to why he fell short of his real potential. At the peak of his career, Neymar decided to join PSG and not only was it premature, going there for his own legacy and reputation wasn't the right choice. Ligue 1 isn't the most competitive and it's not the best league in terms of quality and with or without him, PSG would continue dominating the league, whatever he did at PSG wasn't enough because his success is based off of what he did for them in the champions league because no one has respect for Ligue 1 and they haven't won it and it prevented him from being the best player in the world. If he was still at Barcelona, showed a little more patience then he would be the face of their team and had a better chance of winning the Ballon Dor, but due to injuries and a move that made no sense, Neymar never reached his true potential and we'll never see him replicate that form ever again.

Fax u right to much thx
Eden Hazard seriously went from being one of the best players in the world with Chelsea to now being without a club and is considering retiring from football altogether at just 32, why because of a transfer to Real Madrid. At the time, his final season at Chelsea, he had an outstanding season as he carried the team on his shoulders and showed his greatness on the team for many years and was such a crucial player to most of the trophies they have won in the last decade, but joining Real Madrid it threw his entire career off. He suffered a lot of injuries, was a shadow of his previous self whenever he played, missed more games than played, made headlines for all the wrong reasons more than what he contributed on the field, for all of last season, even when healthy, didn't play and was on a huge salary just warming the bench and in the irrelevant games still couldn't get any minutes, a stat to sum up his time at Real Madrid, El Classico against Barcelona is the biggest game in Spanish football and never played a minute throughout his 4 year career at Real Madrid and despite the trophies the team won, for the player it was a bad move and I think had he stayed at Chelsea he would still be at the top and continue to lead the team. Another important thing as to why Eden Hazard's career has gone in a downward trajectory at some point it was bound to happen. At his peak at Chelsea he was a wonderful player and yet despite that there was some negativity around this player at Real Madrid. Was his downfall down to not looking after himself and a lack of professionalism? We've heard stories from John Mikel Obi and other former teammates he played with at Chelsea say that "Eden Hazard was the best player at Chelsea, but was the worst trainer ever". He didn't train well, he never had the drive and work ethic to further himself as a player, he was lazy didn't like training and the only reason he got away with all that was because he had that natural talent in the end. Eventually that caught up with him at Real Madrid his unprofessionalism and laid back attitude because he showed up to preseason overweight, played catchup dealt with injuries and this player declined in terms of form and fitness. In my opinion, arriving at a club like Real Madrid overweight created the negativity because former teammates opened up on this and observed that when he was at Chelsea, he relied on just his talent rather than hard work and any player you can have generational talent, but you have to work hard because that talent you have there's always a ceiling to how far that alone can take you, hard work gives you success and longevity at the top. For Chelsea, it was a problem his weight and not training well enough got away with it because he was that good and this was always gonna catch up with him later in his career and that played a big role in Eden Hazard failing at Real Madrid.
When Paul Pogba was at Juventus during his first stint, I witnessed a player who had a lot of potential and magic. He was a beast, complete midfielder his skillset, passing, dribbling, flair, shooting, close control, he had all the skills to become one of the best midfielders of the generation and he was critical in Juventus' Serie A dominance and champions league final run in 2015. In the next 6-7 years, when we evaluate Paul Pogba, I find it crazy that once he retires from football, we'd be talking about a World Cup winner underachieving throughout his career and could've done a lot more and the fact that we can say that someone who has a World Cup to his CV and played a pivotal role in France winning it in 2018 never reached his full potential, it just tells you how high of a ceiling that he had when he was very young. He's a victim of his poor career decision making. He made the wrong move at the wrong time, going back to Manchester United, it was a move that was too early and just didn't make sense because he was doing so well at Juventus and had a lot of potential left in him and could've made the most of his prime years there but wasted it on a team that was unable to play him to his full strengths and wasn't helped by the circus around the football club. He has divided so much opinion there are some who feel like Paul Pogba is world class, a proper system gets the very best out of him and needs that in order to flourish, while some think he's overrated inconsistent and doesn't do enough on the football pitch and doesn't care about the game. Those are all valid opinions, but they didn't build a strong and competitive team around him and he suffered as a result and he had games where he was unplayable and at his very best, but others where he looks lost and does nothing and it causes him to be benched and often times played out of his normal position. Paul Pogba was better off developing at Juventus and he could've achieved a lot of great things if he stayed at the club, but this player is another who'll never be at that peak level of form and fitness again.
Torres not so long ago was one of the best strikers in the world. He had speed, vision for goals, power, technical ability and a nightmare for defenders to cope. However, he did suffer injuries and barely made the Spanish squad in South Africa. In his final 6 months he was slowly getting back to his goal scoring form until his move to Chelsea and everything went horribly wrong for him. For starters, he took 10 games to score his first Chelsea goal. The started his first full season at Chelsea well until his infamous open goal miss at Old Trafford and destroyed what's left of the threat of Torres. Physically he was on a decline and short of confidence in front of goals. Scoring just 20 Premier League goals for Chelsea through out his spell at Chelsea. Left for Milan and only scoring once in 10 games before returning to Atletico Madrid and then ending his career in Japan. Torres made a horrible decision to join Chelsea and it broke him. Had he remained at Liverpool he could have strike a deadly combo with Luis Suarez.
Cristiano Ronaldo was in his peak, just helped Real Madrid win 3 straight champions league titles in a row and couldn't stop scoring goals, but after that he left for Juventus. He should've spent 2-3 more seasons at Real Madrid because he would've had another champions league by now and would be on 7 Ballon Dors. While at Juventus he picked up a few more league titles, their team couldn't get past the quarterfinals of the champions league and while he was still prolific in terms of his goalscoring, the limited team success prevented him from winning a couple more Ballon Dors and returning to Manchester United and seeing how things played out on his return, it didn't work and the Piers Morgan interview has tarnished some of his legacy and reputation and it also didn't help that a month later his archrival Lionel Messi finally won the World Cup as the best player in the tournament and will win his 8th Ballon Dor this year, while Cristiano Ronaldo was benched by Portugal in his final World Cup appearance and is now playing for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia. Honestly, if he just kept his ego in check was more humble and was willing to accept the role as a reserve player, he would have a much better ending story to his career and more importantly retiring at Real Madrid if he stayed had every right to do that because he is the greatest player in their history and enjoyed the best spell of his career there in terms of individual brilliance accolades/team success trophies.
Exited to watch the video keep up the hard work
So, about a third of the players regret leaving Liverpool, while another third regret joining Manchester United. Interesting.
Gotze for sure even though he wasn’t that bad in Bayern
Great vid
Sadio Mane joining Bayern Munich has broke his entire career. 18 months ago, he was one of the worlds' best players and he had a lot of confidence in front of goal at Liverpool being very dangerous and was unstoppable at his best. When he joined Bayern Munich he looked like he would be a perfect fit for the system, but based off of his performances they didn't need him. At the time of his arrival, they lost Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona, Sadio Mane is more of a winger, he has featured as a CF a few times, but that has never been his real position and on the left of a front 3, he found it difficult to get minutes and even when he was on the pitch he made zero impact and has made more headlines for the negative things he's done of the field AKA punch Leroy Sane than his on field performances and at 31, he's now going to Saudi. He just was never needed at Bayern Munich because he wasn't the profile player that they were even desperate for. His time at the top is over, if he remained at Liverpool, he would still be in Mohamed Salah's shadow, but at least perform very well for the next couple of years.
That is so easy Mario Gotze.
