In case anyone wonders why BMW don't make a 'supercar': The EU regulations requires that companies have a emissions cap - that's not per car, but all across the range. This allows for for BMW to make fast versions of almost all their cars, making them accessible across a price range too.

the i8 was disappointing for performance but the car looks spectacular and futuristic. They should put the S58 or S68 engine with electric motors to the front wheels for the i9 which would be good for at least 30 miles before requiring a charge. Just my opinion

M5 CS my dream car

C&D always beats the mfg numbers bc they use a 1 ft rollout. This goes back to the early days of testing when they used a light beam to start the clock. The car would effectively move about 1 ft before the clock would start. Now we measure by gps and it’s now possible to measure from actual zero. But for all the tests to be apples-apples C&D keeps using the rollout method.

It's natural to always want to push the envelop of power and speed in cars. But given the environment we live in , what does it mean (and if it really matters or not) that the 0-60mph time is sub 3 secs? At the end of the day, JMHO, it's really about bragging rights of the owners to boast their cars 0-60 times.

Own a F80 and a G80. Love both

@@winstonnyamutsita3988 the regular M5 F90 was the best to have 2017 it was without cpu restriction from the factory, people's that have one of the first units was really impressed when they destroyed some lambos lol i know one guy that drives, fast check on dyno and the stats was mind blowing 615+ whp and 702 hp on crank 🤯 similar to M5 comp

Sorry BMW, but the XM is an esthetic atrocity. BMW has designed some fugly cars over the years, but the XM is a new design low. Talk about butt ugly.
