@@breathtakers914 Nonsense Winning fights doesn't guarantee you anything. Mma fans are the most fickle/worthless metric to receive praise from. Look at khabib he never lost got a shit ton of hate back in his run its only recently that people started flocking to him. Usman was a dominant champ for years and received heavy backlash its only when he shut Colby up did people start flocking to him. My point is winning fights doesn't equate to receiving praise from fans. They can choose any amount of nonsensical issue that they might have with you and latch on to that for years. Be it a "boring personality", "boring fighting style" "cringe behaviour" etc. Whatever the daft airheads will feel like in the moment is what they'll express wins or no.

That was when he was offered the nate fight, and he had only 5 weeks to get down to 170. Now, his coach admits, 5 weeks was definitely more than enough to easily make weight. That is, if their only concern was making weight. No, they wanted to train khamzat like a monster and still make weight, turns out training like that takes a lot of food and when you come in camp a whole weight class heavier than usual in muscle mass, turns out it's a lot harder than usual to make the weight you've already made countless times under different circumstances.

The thing with Rose isn't just that she put on a boring fight. If she'd played it safe against someone super dangerous it would have perhaps been understandable. What made it so bad is that for every second of the fight she looked so much more skilled than her opponent and like she could finish it any time she chose to and just do nothing but evade..

Agreed. It made sense to be somewhat standoffish for the first round...I'm sure Rose has memories of getting easily ragdolled by Carla. But once she established she could get back up pretty easily, even if Carla took her down, there was no excuse to at least not try to score points. And she didn't just play defensive. She acted like a videogame character whose buttons broke.

thats because she had a gameplan…she fought esparza before and knows how quickly she can take her back, or shoot for takedowns. But go ahead and nit pick her performance and validate the ignorant haters, thats fine too. (Where tf is all the hate for Esparza? She’s the one who brought absolutely no competition to the fight and didn’t even deserve to be there in the first place.) GSP got straight embarrassed and lost his title in his prime to a total nobody who j snuck into the title fight after being a runner up on TUF….you gonna tell me Matt serra had a higher skill level than GSP, or that GSP DIDNT hesitate in several moments he shouldn’t have? C’mon man, I also fully support her and her husband defending her fighting style; she doesn’t need to change sh*t for some mark ass casual fans, and her resume proves her fighting style is beyond capable of winning world titles 💀🤦🏼‍♂️

I don't have any hate for either of them, I just have more disappointment in Namajunas than I do in Esparza precisely because I know she is capable of dominating her. Sure, it takes two to put on a stinker, but I don't actually expect Esparza to be able to do any better than she did. I'm no casual. I haven't missed a UFC event in over 15 years. I watched WEC, Strikeforce, Pride etc etc. I've trained MMA. I'm a hardcore fan in every sense of the word. But it's not just my opinion is it? The judges scored it for Esparza. Of surveyed media scoring of 19 publications, it was scored 11-7-1 in favour of Esparza. It literally set the record for the lowest amount of strikes thrown in a 5 round fight ever! She doesn't need to change sh**t for casual fans, no. She needs to change that gameplan to actually convincingly win the damn fight.

I've always said Igor Vovchanchin was the scariest, most fearless fighter from the 90s to the 00s. He was the first to stop Mark Kerr (albeit it was a no contest due to illegal knee) but still stopped Kerr when Kerr was steamrolling everyone. And just about all his opponenets were so much larger, but he still either managed to beat them, or give them all they could handle.

Fedor happens to be the heavyweight GOAT(and the only real pound for pound heavyweight ever ) he should make the list because he’s never called himself the best and never thought he was the best. He doesn’t really say much, no trash talking, no excuses after losses and he doesn’t give a fuck about who looks away first in a stare down ,he’s literally just there to fight. He’s way more of a bad motherfucker than Jorge Masvidal or Colby Covington could ever hope to be😆. No gimmick here, just running miles every week and never once gassing out in a fight. He also can’t help but smile sometimes when he’s at the weigh ins or doing the stare down. He just is a bad motherfucker and he just shows that with absolutely no trash talking or flair👍

Then all the other stuff snowballed and made me despise him. His last fight being against his fiancé with his kids as judges moved him completely beyond the pale for me. He's an asshole and can get fucked. I hope he never gets a UFC fight again. If he does I hope it's at heavyweight and he get annihilated. Jon Jones is a shit person and him being the goat isn't good for the sport. Thank God Khabib went out on top and gave us someone else to point to as the best.

I know history has multiple perspectives, but a few of these entries are stretched to say the least. Tito wasn't hated because he wouldn't fight Chuck, in fact he was quite popular up until and even during the TUF boom. The more people saw him speak in venues other than 'The Best Damn Sports Show Period' the more he mimicked his postfight celebration, digging his own grave. He was stuck in the nu metal edgelordiness of '98 and the fans were slowly but surely leaving that behind. I don't recall Overeem being any more hated after the Brock fight. Long before his UFC stint 'Horsebeef' was a meem we all rolled our eyes when he attributed his size differential in the early aughts - mid aughts to "cow beef, horse beef and some fish". We knew he was full of it (caca not various protein) but he wasn't hated perse for it. Rose certainly lost fans and the good will she built up as someone soft spoken/unassuming out of competition turned killer in the ring. I, however don't think she's hated or even universally disliked for that matter. If she goes on a 2 fight win streak of either finishes or eveb action filled decisions, she'll gain back all she lost and then some. Francis/Black Beast was equally snoozeworthy albeit not for a title, but both fighters are arguably more popular than ever a handful of fights later.

i like your boi's pink guitar. I want one like that, and one just like it in powder blue one day. Obviously his playing is killer too. that modern style is tough to play
