A bit of a weird one, but when playing through VVVVVV, the song "Positive Force" gave me a Guile's Theme (Street Fighter 2) vibe. I know it's not the usual format (VG song sounds like a popular song), but it's something I noticed. Thank you!

I also like how some of the songs you faded into DOOMs to show how they sounded almost exactly alike

I think e1m1 has the most actual similarities to both of the metallica tracks, and that it's similarity to Hooked might be a coincidence. Especially since it has that pause after almost every run of the line that sounds very familiar to master of puppets, along with sounding like it's in thr same key as master of puppets, all the while borrowing it's occasionally full step increase from no remorse.

At Doom’s Gate also sounds like Painkiller by Judas Priest.

Nah, it sounds more like *Metallica,* particularly the *title track* to their 3rd studio album *"Master of Puppets" (1986).*

Hey, thanks for reiterating what’s in the video! Now if you don’t think Painkiller has the same sound, I suggest you listen to it again.

I think the waiting for Romero to play is actually called courtyard theme and it does sounds similar to the “this love” by pantera

Nah, it is called waiting for romero to play. It's probably called courtyard theme in the files bit when they officially released the ost they gave the songs proper names apart from the few called unnamed

Doom and Doom 2 are full of oddly familiar songs. Alice In Chains, Slayer, Pantera, Metalica, and many others. Check the doom music wiki!

I was expecting the 5 you mentioned if the original verions..but good to hear you also fixed those glitches in Song #7 I think and song #5 Big Gun

My favorite episode. I already watched multiple times and it was a pleasure to watch it again.

Just started playing through the classic Doom games recently via the Switch ports; and I gotta say, as someone with no nostalgia for these games, I think they actually hold up really well still. (thanks in no small part to their soundtracks, of course! 😉)

I agree. Played Doom for the first time in 2018 and it's still a fantastic game. Level design is still top notch

Number 5 Is not Master of Puppets Actually No Remorse. In No remorse there is a harmony or a Cover on specific instrumentation that is being played under the base instrument notes played in the Song. The change up toward the end of at Dooms Gate reflects that harmonic Change.

E1M1 js more like 3 songs: No Remorse, Master of Puppets and Painkiller but somehow Painkiller fits kinda better as E1M1

Bobby Prince said that E1M1 was in fact Hooked by D.R.I in an interview you can find on youtube. I’m sure I shared it on the original upload. I used to think it was the chorus from No Remorse by Metallica.

Kinda random but At Doom’s Gate also reminds me of the main riff in Painkiller-Judas Priest

I know there’s a lot of debate of what e1m1 sounds like honestly I think it’s painkiller because of the songs meaning along with the sound because the songs meaning is literally a fictional character created by the band who is a god like being sent to earth to kill evil and that’s probably the most fitting because master of puppets is about drugs and no remorse is kinda fitting because it’s how soldiers don’t show remorse of how they kill but I feel painkiller fits the most. The connecting shreds in e1m1 also sound heavily Judas Priest inspired and not like Metallica
