Sam Gaming Just to look at them is a sight to behold. I was joking obviously, the only ones I own is a Glock 19, AR 15, Remington 870 and an M24. The M24 and Remington is in our house up in Montana, where we often spend hunting season in. The AR is safely stored in a safe. And my Glock is in my drawer, I usually take it on me if I’m going on a long road-trip, camping, hiking or any sort of activity like that. It just makes me feel safe, that’s all.

the 2nd amendment is the clearest amendment in the constitution.

Gentlemen Of Fortune The second amendment is poorly written The militia clause is written without any clear contractions, so it is not clear whether people have the right to own guns only in a regulated militia, or if people are meant to have an unrestricted access to firearms-in which case the militia clause is a throwaway line that doesn't belong in the same sentence. The second amendment is also not necessary for a functioning democracy. Most democracies around the world function very well without it. The most dangerous thing to any democratic system (including republics of course) is censorship of opposing viewpoints, because that makes it much easier for a political block to obtain and hold power.

Chris Hakala It may not be clear to YOU, but for anyone familar with our Supreme Court it is as clear as crystal. The Second Amendment is an individual right that is unconnected to service in a militia.

With his British accent he should of said; Strangely enough though, for some odd reason a large percentage of gun related deaths in the USA are in cities with the strictest gun laws.....

@@jhutch1470 I may be misremembering, but I recall that when Florida made it easy to get a concealed carry permit, the rate of muggings and street assaults dropped significantly. It appears the the criminals were afraid that the little old granny, that they wanted to mug and rob, would pull a 45 out her purse and blow their heads off. So they moved to other states where the potential victims were less protected. No idea if those reduced rates still hold.

I remember living in jersey for a bit I was pissed when I found out I couldn’t bring my guns from Texas. And to use them as self defense something about “a person or self in household has to be fatality wounded first in order for you to use your firearm. Giving 5 years for each hollow tip found in your possession legal or not. I always thought all blue state laws were the same There’s a joke up in NJ saying if someone breaks into your crib you have to tell them to sit and wait for the police to arrive 😂

@@raythomas5090 you can, as long as it’s your personal firearm you defend yourself with(although I’ll admit the list of permitted self defense firearms is mostly pistols and shotguns). California is somewhat lenient on transporting weapons from other states that might not be on the list of permitted firearms, but there are restrictions on certain enhancements and specs which I can’t remember off the top of my head rn. And yeah I hear about how much stricter it is up in the northeast lol, one of my friends in NY was considering a damn pellet gun because he couldn’t own a gun

I am from the Czech Republic and 90% of what I own would be class 3 in the US. It is a bit hard to get a full auto but if the weapon is modified/pinned/welded to only fir semi-auto you can own any assault rifle, sub-machinegun or even belt fed machine gun to a caliber of at least 50 BMG. Since many such weapons are military surplus, prices start just at just under $200 USD with most not going over $1000 USD. Yes I own several. To get a conceal carry permit it is just a question of checking one more box on the same regular gunowner permit form, then scoring a bit higher on the written exam and doing the practical exam with an handgun instead of a rifle. As for violence, the THE CZECH REPUBLIC IS ONE OF SAFEST COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD. So for those that say that guns create violence, go get stuffed!!!!

And even if someone questions this short, understandable sentence, then this person just needs to realize the reason behind the 2A. Civilians need to be able to own the same kind of guns, a military has, so they can defend their freedom, for example, against a foreign country invading.

Also even if well regulated meant government regulations, the comma in the middle separated the militia part with the "right of the people to keep and bear arms" part. 5th grade English bro.

I'm a Tennessee, USA resident, born and bred. Decided to get my first AR-15 last week. Was in & out w/a brand new Ruger AR556 & 200 rds of .223 ammo in less than 30 minutes. The only reason I was there that long was because I couldn't decide on which AR to get. Love the way you think, Checkoslovakia!

each occupation of the Czech Republic meant a ban on weapons, the European Union is now telling us a ban on weapons. now the Czechs do not want to give up their weapons because they know how it has always happened. without children, every twentieth Czech have 2.8 weapons and we are still one of the safest countries in the world ...

Back in my uni days I ran across a sociology study done in the 70's sometime Big sample drawn across North America...single question "It's 3am...someone is banging on your door and yelling....why?" In most of Canada and the NE/Midwest/NE USA the most common response was words to the effect of "a neighbor is in trouble and needs my help" In "some" parts of the USA the most frequent response was "someone is trying to harm me" When they juxtaposed those "pro-social" and "anti-social" responses with levels of inter-personal conflict and injury by firearm High degree of correlation So....Finland, Switzerland, Norway, Canada, New Hampshire.....no fire But Alabama, Maryland....they have a social problem...and firearms are like pouring gasoline on that fire For me....that made sense...in that "useless but profound" academic way

Yeah it’s pretty bad but at the same time not bad at all when you listen to people. Simon is completely ignorant that you can own a .22 LR AR-15 with a 30-100 magazine in the UK and people do!!! Also the barrel limit is 12” and overall length is around 24”. So you can buy “rifles” in the form of a 12” barrel revolver with a 12” barrel and at least a stock of 4” or a wired little metal rod to make up the overall length. Seriously how hard would it be to remove that rod and be in violation???

I grew up in Europe and now that I live in the US it's blows my mind how restrictive the laws are over there... not even just guns, but overall. I'd love to move back home and be able to see my friends and family on daily basis and live that relaxed European lifestyle, but now that I've tasted freedom, I just can't give it up.

Unlike European countries, you own both the right to your land and whatever is underneath it. In the US political parties (even the most horrible and abhorrent ones) can not banned. The government can not go on your property or search you with out a warrent, invitation or extenuating circumstance (eg, the cops hears someone screaming for help in your house) unfortunately politicians of both of our two political parties are trying to take away the above rights.

The Browning FN High Power is a fine gun. I got one that I had for over 40 years. Glad it worked of for you. A doctor here in CT was not so lucky, he survived barely but not his wife and two daughters. Our previous Governor stripped us of some of our rights after Newtown and commuted those to murder turds from being on death row to life in prison.

Don't 4get the US's constitution permits guns just in case the government becomes to tyranical. In that case the people are to retake the gov.

@Fossil Diver because there are over 300 countries, if you count the ones the US doesn't recognize but the rest of the UN does. Fact is, if you take the homicides from NYC, Chicago, Detroit, LA, and DC, and exclude them from the rest of the country, our homicide rate drops to the bottom 10 of all UN countries. Also, scary fact, the US is the only member of the UN that allows self defense at the cost of the assailants life, all the others make you a criminal for taking a life in defense of your own.

Here in Finland owning a firearms for self defence is useless, we dont need guns for that. Even that we have butt load's of guns and gun owners. It's nice to live country so safe that idea of carrying or having guns for self defence is absurd. It think that country where people need's gun to feel safe is dystopian and not very developt

If you're not a member of an inner-city gang or the criminal underworld your chances of being shot are as near to zero as makes no difference. As Alexsi said above it's nice to live in a country where the idea that you would need to carry a gun to defend yourself is absurd. By UK standards I'm a bit of a gun nut and I think some of our gun laws are over-restrictive but the vast majority of people are in favour of strict gun laws and their views have to be respected.

"George self defense in general doesn’t exist over there. You can go to jail if you stab a home invader." That's not even close to being true. Self defence is a common law principle that hasn't really changed in centuries. As long as your response is not grossly excessive you have a valid defence. If you beat an unarmed home invader unconscious you're probably going to be fine. If you then stab them to death while they are incapacitated that's murder.

When you consider European History, one would think the EU people would demand gun rights... Time and time again, history shows the need and ability to protect oneself from political tyrants. I mean... Russia has recently taken over at least two countries with no resistance. It's possible the Czech's understand this... You can't protect or defend yourself/family if you don't have the proper tools. Doesn't anyone remember the past atrocities committed on people who could not defend themselves?

Russia hasn't taken over anyone. Crimea asked to join Russia and had a public vote with international observers. 93% of the voters decided to join Russia. The USA on the other had is out of control: Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Ukraine, Romania. As well as putting military bases in just about every country.

It's because our Constitution says in the most important part is " Shall not be infringed" doesn't get any simpler than that!

Definitely wrong information about Canada, semi automatics are easy to get, and hand guns are not banned, you just need a restricted licence for them.

With very few exceptions. Hand guns have to have a minimum barrel length of 105mm/4.1inchs, and cannot be a caliber smaller than .380 acp.

i live in a country in which gun are strictly prohibited. it actually makes us feel safer considering there is quite a lot of street argument due to small incident. if there is a gun, i'm sure that small street argument can lead to firefight in my country

Wrong info about Finland. There are no regional bans about semis and even full-auto is possible, but needs a lot of paperwork. Also why he said that at Norway you can own EVEN ar-15? It's just another rifle. At France I think you can't have ak47 but who want's go to France anyway.

Looking the diffs about countries like usa, france and finland: at usa there are import regulations, so they can't import commie guns anymore, like Dragunovs but the guns which are there at the moment are legal. At france, please correct me if needed, ak47:s are illegal. You can't have those. At finland, any gun is legal and you can import via company or yourself any gun. At estonia you can have gun for self protection but there are regulations for ammo count, like at france and denmark too? Anyhow, estonia is carry country and was not listed. Wtf? Anyway: the whole gun thing is not as simple as this video shows. But for a guy who doesn't know s..t about what he talks...

Across the counter guns like the AR-15 and AK-47's are not defined as assault weapons because they don't have a full automatic fire option. This makes them no different mechanically than the civilian sporting semi-auto's. Anyone who challenges this statement should remember that anything meant to purposely inflict harm or death to a human being can be classified as an assault weapon, be it a knife, hammer, baseball bat...etc.

Your remarks on how hard it is to own a semi-automatic firearm in Canada are inaccurate. I have lawfully owned non-restricted semi-automatic firearms for years here in Canada. That is the easiest firearms classification for the most basic level of lawful ownership in Canada. Our firearms classification system is very arbitrary, follows no logic & only focuses on the public’s perception of said firearm(s). If a firearm “looks” extra dangerous it is restricted but firearms that do not look as dangerous but actually are more dangerous are non-restricted. Case in point: both my Ruger Mini-14 & M1A are non-restricted but have both been used by shooters in 2 of our most infamous mass shootings; but my AR-15 Carbine is restricted because it looks like a modern military Assault Rifle (even though it is not) so it is restricted despite the fact the M1A is far more dangerous & has actually been used to gun down RCMP officers in Moncton NB while there has never been a single mass schooling involving a AR-15 (or any of its variants) in Canadian history. See, no logic, arbitrary & solely based on the public’s ignorant perception. BTW the Ruger Mini-14 was used in our most deadly mass shooting ever, again it’s non-restricted but the restricted AR-15 is no more dangerous than a Mini-14 despite never been used in a mass shooting here.

You're relatives must make sure they knock before entering... LOL.. I'm in NY everything is illegal here. It's just about impossible to get a carry permit or pistol permit, in NYC no long arms, no hand guns then cross to NJ and a BB gun is like 5 years in jail. I'm moving to a red state

Speaking from the prospective of an American 2nd amendment advocate, I would like to praise the way you presented these facts in a neutral informative way, I really enjoy these videos for this reason.

I know I'm a few years late to the party for this video but I live in Oklahoma and in the last 4 years we've changed from concealed carry to open carry to constitutional carry. You don't even have to have a permit or license here and you can just openly carry in public.

The last line of his commentary "guns in America are definitely there to stay" is spot on as it would be impossible to confiscate all of the firearms in the U.S.

With out the 2nd amendment the bill of Rights has no meaning

I thought I would add a little flourish to some of your observations. 1. Finland has not only always had a strong gun culture but during the Russian invasion of Finland it was those famous marksmanship skills that made the Russians pay dearly for stealing half of the country and about the only thing that kept them from getting the entire place. Those same skills were later needed to kick the nazis out. Finland, the Czech republic and Sweden all have tight defense budgets and Russia as a neighbor and/or former occupier (and don't think that doesn't play into their strategic defense plans...as well as Russian wargaming). 2. America was carved out of the wilderness by people with axes, plows, saws and guns. They had to fight to break free of the England and then fight some more to stay that way. It was so much a part of the early years of the USA that gun ownership was enshrined as the 2nd of 10 amendments to the constitution. Then they had to fight to resolve some very nasty internal struggles (the civil war). Then there was the westward expansion. In fact the single most iconic image of America outside of the eagle is the cowboy. 3. The Switzerland-Honduras meme does help illustrate one point, it is not so much the laws on guns as it is the culture, the people that are responsible for crime rates. Poverty and education are huge factors but the culture is the main driver. Examples: Jamaica has (or had) a very high murder and gun violence rate despite being an island nation with ultra strict gun laws. Nevis and St. Kitts are even tighter yet have an even higher murder rate. Japan has almost none.

As well as presented inaccurate information on Finland. Semi Automatic firearms are legal for the common person to own in Finland.

As an American who knows my country's gun laws and loves to learn about the laws in other countries, I can assure you that this field of study is murky and full of half truths and misinformation. In the USA itself there are so many misinformed people it's scary. Now try to find out the facts in another country! I've heard everything from UK requiring guns be kept at the gun club to an absolute requirement for Swiss men to own guns to French people being required to fire a warning shot before shooting an attacker.... it's hard to know what to believe coming from foreign countries, ESPECIALLY if you're not prepared to spend years researching the topic.

What caliber will your next stimulus check come in?

The Swiss were asked what are they going to when there is an army two times the size of theirs at their border. The Swiss said they will go shoot twice and go home.

rather than being just talk though that meme is backed up by regular competency testing. Most Swiss males are competent and accurate gun users, even if they arent particularly excited about it. At least that was the case up to 2005 when I left.

Um, I have never heard of any gun safe at any work place in Sweden, except the military and the police. And I guess they are not exclusives to Sweden.

​@@stephengiannone5449 Ha, my post was over 3 years ago. And yes, CZs are my favorite handgun. I have 3. CZ-75 Compact, a P-01, and a P-10. I even have a Turkish CZ-75 Clone the Sarsilmaz SAR S-2000. It's actually better than the original CZ-75. It's a very low cost Turkish copy, but it comes standard with a match grade barrel, and very finely tuned internals. Enjoy!

A lot of other armies have more rifles in terms of population than the United States, and in case of war they distribute it, they usually have more rifles than the population but you need the majority of the population during the war for everything else to survive. Smaller countries put more on guerrilla warfare. At the time of the virus, it became clear how responsive and disciplined each country was at the population level. When the enemy controls your territory in wars for complete dominance, he wants to take away all your will to the point of resistance. The population must know how to grow food and keep it without electric refrigerators during the year, even in a city where it is possible and then a shortage of fertilizers, sprays and oil, which contribute greatly to successful farming. There is no heating in winter, no clean water or medicine. Many times, even residents would blame their soldiers if they stood up and shot because they would only cause more damage to civilians.I want to say how complicated it is, far from all black and white.

@@oyra-rp4ge there at least 1 million retired army personal who have been in combat over the last twenty years, there are also thousands of civilians who train at professional fire arms schools, who are taught by some of those retired soldiers.

Lets make a list of the countries which have not been successfully invaded in the last one hundred fifty years (hint the USA will not be on it.) Europeans may not approve of the American habit of being armed but they should remember that twice in the last century it was Americans and their guns that saved them from being forcibly amalgamated into the German Empire

Lewis Actually, that's your ilk. If conservatives knew the facts, they'd acknowledge that America is a secular nation, not a Christian nation. They'd also acknowledge that their policies (including abstinence-only sex ed, the "War on Drugs", and trickle-down economics) are all proven failures.

Many moons ago we were in the mountains of Colorado and stopped into a hotel for lunch. The waitress came over and asked us if we want her to hang up our guns to make us more comfortable. We did and they hung on the wall with a dozen others. We had a nice lunch, grabbed our stuff and left.

I have literally never seen any restaurant that would allow you to bring a rifle even muzzle load in, though to be fair on the point there are several that i know even offer discounts to customers that show their carry permit. These places implement that type of policy usually after getting robbed several times and it makes them a much safer place to patronize as a result. I just think the rifle statement itself may be a little bit of an overstatement is all. I really think it would be nice at some point for the gun issue to become a non issue, but especially in the US until crime and illegal guns and other such issues can be taken care of first it seems that in some places it really is best to have access to a firearm. It is only in certain areas that seems to be the case, but i fully support legal gun ownership for not only hunting and personal protection, but also the reason it was put into the constitution in the first place. Tyranny and oppression still exist also.

my namejeff There are many articles about antidepressants and mass murders... In fact, it's on the side of the bottles these antidepressants can turn into something very dangerous.

There was, but the government solution was to assign the mentally ill to poorly equipped half-way houses with inept personnel instead of fixing the serious problems mental health care facilities opted to utilize for persons suffering from mental illnesses.

rayford21 yes what was done in the past is definitely not the way to handle things going forward. Something needs to be done though i dont know what it should be exactly. One thing is for sure though, blaming the tools is not going to fix the problem. We have to address the people weilding them. Even if guns disappeared tomorrow nothing would be fixed because the ones with the issues and the criminals would just use a different tool.

Correction on Canada. We have licenses and a handgun registration. However semiauto is fine i own 5 of those.

Your definition of "semi-automatic weapon" is wrong. Most modern weapons are semi-automatic.

When I think of "ease of owning firearms," as an American, I think of the fewest firearm regulations. Most of these countries really don't meet that criteria. Also, as an American, I'm a big paranoid about any sort of registry or database. That's to the point where I'm not likely to get a license to carry. I'm even weary of buying a firearm from a store, since that means going through a background check and likely having my name in a government database. See, the Second Amendment was purposed as a last resort against tyrannical government. Hence, it makes zero sense that the government has any regulations on keeping and bearing firearms. As far as I'm concerned, every single piece of firearm legislation is inherently unconstitutional. If I buy a firearm, I'm buying from a friend in a private transaction, with cash. As a law-abiding citizen, I'm not all that worried about criminals. I'm far more concerned about the increasing government overreach. If they can infringe upon the right to keep and bear arms despite this being blatantly against the Second Amendment, I have zero confidence that they won't do the same with any other rights. The massive size of the federal government and the increasing intrusion into the lives of the people continue to make me more suspicious of their intentions. If their intention was to reduce homicide rates, they'd focus on the reasons people choose to commit such crimes. Instead, they focus on the right of law-abiding citizens. That screams "tyrannical government" to millions of firearm owners. Firearms do nothing in and of themselves. They are pieces of metal and plastic. The focus needs to be on the individual who uses said firearm.

i live in switzerland and just bought my first pistol and now im loking for a rifle :D

I noticed in general for the whole country with more gun control laws are easiest to attacked & invaded by foreign troops. Countries that allowed law abiding citizens to own legal gun, would be not prone to be attacked by other country.

At least one semiautomatic rifle with detachable magazines and minimum 500 rounds of ammunition to suit. Other weapons may be substituted based on physical ability, religious beliefs, or financial ability. Let's do this.

So... In the Czech republic they have the constitutionally recognized right to kill terrorists and have little to no terrorism despite their geographical proximity to many terrorist states as compared to England where they have no real rights to own firearms or even self defense and are attacked by Islamic terrorists almost weekly...

This is not connected to gunlaws itself. We have a right to defend ourselves when we are endangered, this means harming or even killing the attcaker. Your defense however HAVE to be adequate to the threat. If you harm/kill in a self defense you will still be dragged around courts, but if the self defense was adequate they will set you free.

You make mistake. In Serbia we have second world guns per capita patio for legal guns ownership. If we count illegal guns, we are probably number one. So, 74,6 guns per 100 citizens is legal guns. And to be gun owner you must to go trough the tests (if you didn't serving in army or police force), you must not have record in police or court, and you must to go to psychiatrist evaluation of your mental status and mental health. Also, guns owner paying year taxes on every single gun. Isn't easy to have gun in Serbia.

I am austrian and i also had to do a psychiatric test its requiererd for handguns and semiautos , but that test was so ridiculous anyone could pass it, I really had to laugh hard at some of the questions
