As someone from 🇵🇷 it always hurts my heart to see poverty anywhere in the Caribbean, we are all sisters in the same sea. Haiti has so much beautiful culture/history and it seems like it’s being suffocated by the collapsed political infrastructure at the moment. Sending peace + love to the nation of Haiti. 🇭🇹✌🏽❤️

I’ve seen your videos from Yemen, Venezuela and Afghanistan of dangerous neighborhoods and slums and I have to say this video is up there, as Haiti has now become a failed state. Where gangs are pretty much controlling the country and it’s located right in the Caribbean. Props to you for being so brave to go through and explore these rough times. I do hope that Haiti will recover from this in the future.

8:40 in Costa Rica we also have la fruta de pan (breadfruit), it's simple but very good, crunch and sweet. You can parboil it first, than cut it in slices and fry it and eat it together with guacamole. You can use breadfruit instead the nachos or the yuca. I have always been a fan of the fruta de pan.

Well, all the violence might help explain why so many Hattians have moved to my little town in middle of nowhere Indiana. There's not much more than a Walmart here & corn/soybeans as far as the eye can see. Bit it's pretty safe so probably like paradise to them. And maybe why they never say hi back when I pass them on the street.... and they always walk in the street even tho it's technically illegal here. lol
