I just got back from a CRAZY trip to Port-au-Prince, Haiti - undoubtedly the most dangerous city in the world. Here is a little behind-the-scenes from my hotel room, sharing my experience of what it is really like to be here over the last 48 hours and shoot on these streets. I can't believe this happened. And I wish the best for the future of the country.

Ik it’s a crazy suggestion but I’ve read about Haiti. It’s an absolute shitshow. If a bigger country were to annex it, (like the US or France who are responsible for the mess) would you be against that? Because I see absolutely no way out for Haitians other than this.

@@joniesraphael6587 not familiar with that. Tho at this point I don't see the people over taking the gangs and restoring order. It's insane that on the same island just across the boarder you have Dominican Republic where while things are far from perfect (no where is) at least the people have decent lives. Hati is just in absolute chaos. I'm very aware government generally doesn't do good for the people in many parts of the world but I don't see how it can get much worse for Hati.

Drew I was on a cruise ship in 1976 with a stop in Cap-Haitian. The shanties were crumbling, a loud speaker in center of town with the president speaking. The hospital was open air with flies everywhere and only slightly scary but got bad when going back to reboard the boat to the ship. There were 10 black guys on one side and 10 on the other wanting a tip before letting us through. I tipped $10 but that wasn't enough so I gave another $10 and they let us through. My wife was scared to death!

No country will help without something in return. They're not gonna put their soldiers in risk in a country that you're in danger only because you're not black. & when i mention black, it is to be literally black... cause indigenous people to them, are white people. How do I know this for sure? Cause a Latin KZreadr upload a video yesterday & people were very hostile for literally no reason. Even in the places he asked to record to the owner of the place, people from the neighborhood came to yell at him & treat him like a criminal. He then explained, that haitians are hostile with white people because of bad situations in their past. But yeah... to conclude. He's not even white, he's indigenous.

The UN especially has been showing more and more over the years how useless it can possibly be. Haiti, now Gaza, at this point there’s honestly zero reason to think anyone is safe if some group or entity somewhere decided they just are gonna rule the world and kill us all. The message is that no help is coming; no help is possible. So what are we supposed to do?

I hate the situation going on there and the history goes very deep. As mentioned. Haiti was the only successful major slave revolt in the Americas and essentially European nations made an example out of them. Unfortunately, their isolation from building any wealth for decades (unless the wealth flowed directly to the Europeans) has led to the dire situation and lack of stability. It’s very unfortunate.

I have had the pleasure of visiting Haiti 3 times. As a Marine I provided humanitarian support after the earthquake. I also assisted in the post assassination investigation which led down many rabbit holes and dead ends. I also visited Haiti in the past as part of my study and training into the investigation of ritualistic crimes. My biggest takeaways were the corruption from the political class (foreign and domestic), the Gang violence obviously and rampant human trafficking. Also exploitation of the country by foreign powers. The people are really amazing beautiful and kind. I wish the world powers really cared as much to help Haiti as other foreign countries we seam so worried about.

Extremely sad situation, it is hard to believe that at this exact moment that people is going to sleep without food, no bed, no water, no peace, the world is a mess and unfortunately every day is getting worse, poor poeple is getting poorer and rich people richer, no body will be in charge of fixing that mess and also the closest safe place they have, the Dominican Republic, is getting more serious taking every Haiting out of everywhere, the discrimination and hate against that population is at its peak.

He purposely refuses to do that because like most of "them", he wants to fit a narrative. He knows he will get less money showing the nice areas of the country. Notice he never even showed Petion-Ville which is the best area of Port au prince 🤦🏾‍♂️

So crazy to see this. We left Haiti in 2019 after three years in the south east. And it was already bad. But we didn't feel really unsafe, we didn't had problems even in downtown, around the Marché de fèr. The politicians, with the gangs and the money of the drug transfer spoiles it all. The country is so beautiful and has so much potential. Good luck for you all,

Let me start with saying thank you for updating us on the situation in Haiti. We read and hear things here in the US but we really don't know what it is actually like. This video gives us the real picture if what the slums and gang areas are like. I'm sure there are other places in Haiti that are not so much like this and it would be amazing to see them. But... let me also say that I don't understand the need for this video on this channel. Your tag line says (What I Didn't Tell You) but really most of the scenes in this vid were exactly like the other one. Nothing new here, just go to main channel and watch the long vid.

as a woman of Haitian descent, I am feeling very warm at how this video is making an effect on you guys. Also, all the wishes for Sean and for his safety are very kinda but I want you guys to remember that these videos are filmed in the ghetto parts of Haiti. Sean may very well live in the actual good parts of Haiti.. like Upper Delma or the places a lot of your celebrity favs visit. Instead of feeling sorrow, just donate :) and, while you’re looking at all these rough videos of Haiti, take the time to search up the nice parts as well

I've been to Haiti 3 times, the last was in 2014. Mostly around Port-au-Prince, and Petion-ville to the south. I felt about as safe as any city in the US. Only real danger was accidentally ingesting the shower water. The Haitian people are so friendly, it's like there are no strangers.
