I know The Shield turned out really well, but Mick Foley (my favourite wrestler of all time, and admit it Adam, he's yours too, given how you use him as the visual representation every time you say "God" or "Jesus") never got a proper ending to his career- he appeared in the 2012 Royal Rumble, then never got cleared to wrestle again and had to retire. It was a sad ending to one of the greatest men ever to step into the ring (no, he wasn't necessarily the best _wrestler,_ but I'll stand by my assertion that he's the best _person),_ and the thought that he could have retired with one more great final feud where he could do what he did best (putting over younger men in brutal matches that solidify them as mad hardcore bastards, as he did with Triple H, Randy Orton and Edge) with _Dean Ambrose_ no less makes me weep for what we never got. Foley deserved better, because Foley is good. Seriously though, if you could split that one man into two people, one Dean Ambrose and the other Jon Moxley, the Jon Moxley half would _eat Dean alive._

Hey, I dunno if this is a recent reversion or not, but I actually like the slightly mechanical and tinny quality that Adam's voice gets when, I guess he uses this particular microphone. I've heard it on other Top 10 lists, and not on others, and it's entirely possible that I'm an odd outlier, maybe even just for noticing the different in audio quality, but, if any editors read this, I really like this microphone! It's distinctive, and helps Adam's voice jump out even more from the litany of other voiceover KZread videos that I watch.

7:44 "allegedly" making mick uncomfortable? He's said in interviews that it genuinely weirded him out and he told Dean to ease up with the comments, though Dean thought he was saying it as part of the story they were doing. Because of that, Dean went in harder, mick tried to call him to tell him again and for a few days he couldn't get a hold of Dean, so he couldn't tell him he was for real about it lol.

4:50 Bruv, wut? A: That match was awesome. B: It capped off a great TV feud. C: It allowed the Shield storylines to pivot away from being 'Undefeated,' a label which can hamstring as much as it helps. D: The momentum from that victory, in addition to the build, helped cement Bryan as THE guy to challenge Cena. E: The mindset of 'This moment is important to the story, so it HAS to happen on PPV' is precisely what led us to unwatchable weekly TV and swerve-happy PPVs.

Did Adam say the feud with Hassan would have "cultimated" in a match with Batista at SummerSlam? Nice to see the English language remains ever-evolving with the times. Unless all the peroxide is just eating his brain's language center.

That's a real shame we never got the Brothers of Destruction vs the Shield, that could have been a really cool match, and it would have been a more respectable way for the shield to have their first loss. Also Hogan didn't want to do face vs face cause he feared Bret would be cheered over him and honestly there's a good chance of that happening.

Was the Shield a good idea? I mean individually it helped each member in different ways of exposure... I think that Roman had the worst time though since they portrayed him as a face with no interesting stuff to pull from, while Moxley was really a good and bad character all together at times where i am looking at this booking and was bad to okay not like ground breaking, while Seth was just the best booked all around before Roman's heel turn. However out of the three of them i would say that Moxley has the more long term booking behind him because he reinvented his character. Roman is more pushed to the absolute limit that i don't even think he can do much as a Universal Champion anymore as his reign is stale. Seth on the other hand isn't even pushed into anywhere else but is a joke character literally has no direction for himself at all.

You, like the big Dub, missed the biggest match that SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED. The REAL, The ONLY #1: CHYNA vs. Stone Cold: 1999 In '99, the Ninth Wonder Of The World was on a real run of firsts. First woman to: - compete in a Royal Rumble match - compete for King Of The Ring - become #1 Contender for the richest prize in the world of the graps. And here is where history almost changed forever. Originally it was supposed to be the Amazonian vs. the Rattlesnake, with Jesse Ventura as special guest referee. Rumor has it that originally Chyna's hand would be raised in victory, creating herstory as, not only the first woman to compete for a men's world title, thus the first woman to ever headline a ppv, but the very first woman in all of sports entertainment to hold a previously men's only title. Sadly, this didn't happen as jealousy and backstage politicking (coughcough hhh coughcough) got the best of vinny mac, giving him cold feet, costing CHYNA her shot at the history books.

Maybe I am alone in liking the Dean Ambrose character. While I do feel Jon Moxley is the logical successor to the hardcore legacy of Mick Foley, the Dean Ambrose hijinks were fun. I know that is was WWE goofiness and would never go as hard as he can and as a result felt blunted, but it is still more fun than anyone likes to admit these days. He is charismatic enough to pull off the stuff that WWE was giving him. It is a shame he never got more of the flexibility he was looking for.
