What I did was create a save before I was locked out of an ending and after each ending I just loaded back to the previous save, basically set everything up for each ending first without actually starting it so I got the achievements pretty fast

It's just what you love doing. Some people get a kick out of the effort and some don't. I used to 100% because it's fun, but I stopped when it became a bit obsessive. Now I'd rather just play through the game until I feel I'm done whether it's 1, 2 or more playthroughs.

Yeah, once I've finished the story, I just feel like the world is empty and nothing is really happening. I do side content while slowly chugging through the MSQ.

DMC5 deserves to put up here. I can't put into words how easy some of its achievements are and how brutally difficult the other ones are, finishing the game on anything above DMD is a massive struggle and then there's style trophies. Truly one of the hardest games too 100% and I know I will never get it

Bloodborne is still my favorite 100% to this day. From the Chalice Dungeons, to item hunting, to discovering all the little nooks I missed. Absolute treat and why it's still my favorite FromSoft game to date.

Only one I'm missing is the one from the Chalice Dungeons (Queen something or other). I got to Rom, the Vaccuous in the Chalice Dungeons and got pissed and quit. I hated the Chalice Dungeons, but everything else was one of the funner platinums I've gone for.

I don't remember if I have ever done 100% of a video game. Cheers to all the completionist out there because you deserve praise👍. Great vid btw.

inFamous 1 is another one. You had to collect items called Blast Shards for 100%, but there's no way to track which ones you have or haven't already found.

@@Safetytrousers I usually ignore guides. Exploring stuff myself is kind of my jamm. So after I had my fun with the game I usually don't go for the completionist stuff. For me it's just too hardcore. That's why completionist gamers deserves much respect.

I have 17 games platted together with my brother, it's kind of our thing. Getting the grind in and receiving the plat just makes me full of joy like a child. I guess that's our hobby, now we're aiming to 30 games platted. Great video Falcon, always a joy to watch you and your crew's vids!

Horizon zero dawn is the only game I have gotten 100% on because I just wanted more and more. I intend to get 100% on forbidden West too. The combat and exploration and story and how they all come together is just the best in my opinion

I don't see the point in 100% tbh. The tiny amount of satisfaction doesn't justify hours of frustration. I don't know where people get the time. I'll complete a game, then occasionally roam the map, maybe some multiplayer. But then move on

@@strungoutboy86 depends on the game. Also depends how much you like the game. Some people do it just for the challenge, others do it because they love the game they're playing. I 100%d RDR2 because I loved the game and just wanted a "reason" to keep playing.

RDR2’s Platinum was just insane to complete. There are just so many plants and animals, many of which are so hard to find!

I expected to see an Arkham game on the list, no one can make me complete those Riddler puzzles lol

I hate how the developers locked the true ending in Arkham knight behind those damn trophies. That was just a horrible design choice

Ι reached 97.5 completion in jc2. Im a trophy hunter and usually dont bother with in-game completion if its not a requirement for the plat, but i loved that game so much. I remember people saying that actual 100% was impossible cause the game didnt track the objectives correctly, and it could only max out at 99.91% or something

one of the destroyable towers is located underground because of a bug. the maximum completion rate is 99.96%

im playing AC syndicate for the first time and it's annoying to 100% because the activities you have to do to take control of london are mostly copy and pasted like 20 times. but I'm pushing through because the rest of the game is actually pretty great. Main story stuff and memories with (Dickens, Darwin, Marx ,Queen Victoria,World War 1) and PENNY DREADFULS (the sherlock holmes cases you can solve) are actually really good. I haven't even started the 'jack the ripper' DLC

As someone that rarely goes for achievements, some of these are wild. I'm working to 100% my first game and it's Sleeping Dogs. I have to say it did actually bring something extra to an already awesome story. 50 hrs total and I just learned that you can do a spinning kick off a wall. My mind was blown to smithereens when it first happened

The challenge where you had to have driven class A sportscars at the maximum speed for a total of 30mins was the most tiring one lol I still remember just blasting the highway strip back and forth after completing everything else in the game just to get the last challenge required for the plat 😂 good times

I got the 100% platinum trophy for Star Wars Battlefront 2….it was a nightmare.

Persona 5 is also pretty time consuming. Doing everything requires exact choices so you don't accidentally miss leveling up a confidant, if you mess up you better have a backup save in a game where eqch playthough is well 100 hours each. And then do it again

The hardest part of P5 (and some of the others as I understand it) is getting all of Futaba's commentary. It literally requires you to play the game wrong, and it's still somewhat random. I might be missing one other, but that one explicitly, I determined was not worth the effort.

I am surprised Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous is not on this list. I finished the game with 140 hours of game time and only had 16% of the achievements. It looks like you would need to play through the game about 5 times to get all of them and a lot of them are still ridiculously hard to get.

Another Amazing Video I feel Elden Ring Is hard to platnium Demons souls and all three dark souls remain my Proudest plats even if their not that challenging they still make me very satisfied to have them Consider their some of the hardest games in the world. Miles morales has you new game plus so unfortunately that game turned my Happiness off in confidence I was gonna 100 percent till I realized you gotta play through skippable cut scenes all over again I also feel like Cuphead is hard to platnium besides Sekiro Considering it's the hardest game In general I wish you guys would do a video on top 10 hardest video games in the world to complete

The thing with The Last of Us is, If I recall correctly, there is only one or two achviements that you can get before the game credits. Which explains why the percentage is so low.

That mahjong was a nightmare the first couple of times that i had to do it, but after the third game of doing it, i now have a basic understanding of it. Also the pool minigame in Y3 where the aiming seems to be so fucking sensitive and it goes all over the place. Rage inducing

Ahhhh I'll never forget my first 100%. Prototype 2, for some reason was the first game I played where "I need to complete every single thing on this disc" and it opened the flood gates for my 100% drive haha

Crash 4 still remains my proudest platinum

Whenever you had to start swapping between certain blocks being solid or not with whatever button, I quit lol. Just not my thing. I would agree. Crash is my favorite game series, so I HAD to get the platinum, and it’s my favorite for sure. But it is a super tough one, especially the relics…gotta do it again on PS5 though

I respect video game players who complete 100% of the game. Like Falcon, I don't have the patience to play 100%. If the game is 60% complete, then, I call that satisfactory.

Monster Hunter world has a lot of event quest who have increased % to encounter a small crown/big crown, that sped up the grind by A LOT

Star Ocean 3 is a PS2 game that had battle trophies built in, and definityly deserves to be on this list as it requires 3 playthroughs minimum to 100% complete on a game that a normal playthrough not aiming for trophies can easily take over 100 hours. It really lives up to the subtitle there, "Til the End of Time"

But here's to the players that go that extra mile, to achieve the impossible 100%, most casual players would ignore lol

I remember y’all made a video about games that are best when 100%-ed. could we have a part two, showing games that challenging, but not impossible to 100% and are tons of fun to do?

I feel like Europa Universalis 4 or probably other Paradox games could be on this list. Like, you can probably complete dozens of achievements by playing one nation and planning ahead, but so many of the achievements require you to play specific nations, that you will likely have to play hundreds of matches just with the intention of getting one specific achievement, and when you get it, you start over with a new achievement.

I remember naughty dog saying they didn't want trophies to pop up during the story for immersion reasons so most trophies are associated with a second play through.

Just thinking about a Monster Hunter sequel that has much more content than World and has the same crown achievements makes me shiver

Got the 100% in JC2. Now I realize how much time I had back then as a kid

Dark souls 2 should definetly be here. To complete it at a 100% you must acquire two different rings. The first one you do by playing the entire game without resting in a bonfire (no checkpoints nor estus refill) and the second one by not dying at any point until you beat the game. On a souls game.

Rdr2 who would've thought a game about cowboys would have you picking plants for hours

Great list. Crazy that the only platinum I have here is Just Cause 2 which was also my first platinum next to Borderlands 1. Only other one on the list I came close to was Battlefront 2 with 2 trophies remaining

I came here to say Monster Hunter World cause I wasn't expecting it to be on the list -- the miniature and giant crown achievements are ABSOLUTELY the ones I'm still working on; it's taken so much time it's kind of pushed my semi-retirement from gaming altogether 😂

Im at 694 of 700 achievements on MCC. Only ones left are LASO on every Halo besides CE lol

Don't forget that PSNprofiles only groups together the people who have their trophies set to public viewing, and even if their trophies are public doesn't mean they're on PSNprofiles. Not until they sync it to the site themselves, or until someone does it for them. So some of those percentages for average completion could be even lower, or slightly higher.

It’s all fun to 100% a game until the next live service update comes out and adds more achievments, can be a pain especially if it involves particularly grind or big time wasters

If you use trueachievements, it places the dlc in separate brackets, solving your problem

I just went back and 100% Just Cause 2, It didn't take to long because I created a system to clear out the maps, but it was tedious.I can now add it to my small list of 100%.

As a person who still loves going back to factions I can promise you that you will likely find a game faster in tlou than most current multiplayers there’s nothing like the game on the market and the fan base is very loyal to the game

One of the hardest for me was mgs5 phantom pain. I think it was the animals that was what really got me.

Spiderman tells me I have to run up a building for like 40k feet to get a final trophy 😭

@@Kelbeangirl93 Hmmm... 🤔 It would have to be something worth collecting 900 korok seeds for, so maybe something like no more weapon degradation, or double the length you can use the Master Sword before it has a cool down time- or drop the cool down requirement entirely. Then the endgame would be a field day! Those don't really go with Hestu's whole deal though (extended inventory, I mean), so perhaps that wouldn't work. I think it would be fun, though! What about you?

I beat GTA IV 100% achievment completely and yes that auf wiedersehen petrivic achievement was a complete nightmare. Took a lot of boosting with players from the true achievement community to get it

Trophies are the biggest catch 22 ever. They can help me get more play time out of a game and, if a list is doable on an otherwise borderline purchase, help me find new experiences. Also, I often see more of game with big worlds of multiple ends for them. On the flip side, they sometimes make me waste time grinding or even ruin my thoughts on a game if they make them too miserable. Also, the amount of money and time blown when a doable list is my justification for buying/playing something I am unsure about.

On the other end a game that is big but a treat to 100 is Final fantasy 13. You cannot lock yourself out. it's doable in a single playthrough and I like to delete my achievements and regain them every once in a while.

A friend of mine picked up Just Cause 3 on the PS4 and we both played the hell out of it and completed everything and the platinum trophy never popped, one of the biggest let downs i have had in gaming after grinding all those ridiculous wingsuit and shooting challenges...

Noticed SWTOR in the intro so I’d like to give it a shoutout. For context, the base game includes 8 different class stories, each with different missions, characters and stories. Completing ONE of those without going for side quests or any of the open world content took me about 100 hours. That’s not even considering the 6 (?) DLC which are about 7 hours each, although they’re the same for every character. By my guess, I think you’d have to put in at LEAST 1k hours to get anywhere close to 100%, although that’s kinda par for the course for MMORPGS.

Got 100%/platinum in GTA IV, Last of Us and BotW 😎 and it was worth every second of it!

It’s not, it literally says in the image used that 96% of people have unlocked it. It’s one of the easiest ones to get.

Just Cause 2 - we created a massive world all with the same 14 copy paste assets! There were like 10 memorable locations and then just the same tree and house thousands of times.

I already got seriously 3.0 currently working on gears 5 rn I did all the other requirements but the horde maps are very difficult imo wish me luck

I love Dark Souls 3, but damn, hunting for covenant items really got me stuck for months.

I was able to get the platinum for monster hunter world's base game and star wars battle front. Monster hunter took like 360 hours. The ATAT trophy in battlefront was a nightmare but there was a way to farm it, but still required a ton of luck.

Omg. Monster hunter world was my first platinum trophy ever. And man that damn near broke me. 3 times I almost cried😢🤣

The Last of Us multiplayer was awesome. And I can't wait for factions to release

Pokemon Red was hard enough to 100% the Pokedex even without factoring Mew into the equation. Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon required some ungodly combination of practically every generation and remake in order to max out the Dex - by comparison, Pokemon Legends: Arceus has four levels of Dex completion: Catching the Pokemon, getting the full Dex entry, completing all the research tasks, and winning its challenge battle. Add in shiny Pokemon for anything that can be repeatedly caught, and Alpha Pokemon of all those species as well, and completing all the sidequests is quaint in comparison.

Also, some trophies of last of us like shiv doors or conversations are glitched. So, it makes it more brutal to be completed. The only solution is to not saving manually or overwriting your saves.

Elden ring by far my most enjoyable 100% completion game in recent memory, with fallout 3 being my previous fave!

Collecting all those korok seeds in Breath Of The Wild is genuinely fun and chilled if you follow a guide. Some games are just stress incarnate to get 100% the final fantasy 7 remake is HARD.

Currently working my way through both American Truck Sim and Euro Truck Sim 2 in order to get all the achievements. And making some of my own challenges along the way to bring ETS2 challenges over to ATS - like exploring the entire map. Which, is going to be a task and a half. I've got 876 hours in ATS and 671 hours in ETS2 and i'm only just now getting around to the achievements because I never used to care about them.

Dark Souls 3 is such a brutal slog to 100% in single player mode, eons of farming x.x

Or just get wrecked in pvp for hrs... yeah that 1 sucks, especially because the rest of the game is so awesome.

@@emptysoul2757 oh, it was dead simple, it's just that I had to break it up into separate 2-3 hour sessions as I killed like sixteen hundred enemies for several sets of 20 of ultra-rare drops - took me maybe a couple of months? it had a soul-crushing feel to it. That was with all the luck stuff up to the max, btw

Also, you need to collect some items that start to appear in NG+. The furthest one requires you to beat Nameless King on NG++. Personally, I even needed to go through a bit of NG+++, so I could interact with a summoning sign next to Abyss Watchers.

Elder Scrolls Online fits on this list. There are a ton of trophies and if you count DLC then new trophies are constantly being added to the game. There is an absolute assload of quests and things that need to be collected just in the base game and you have to get the Emperor trophy which is one of the hardest trophies to get in general.

Disgaea 4 was tough to 100% but with patience, possible. My most proud platinum is still binding of isaac rebirth... true platinum god... the lost...

Bragging rights for getting a pointless "achievement" in a video game is actually proving only how unproductive a gamer can be. Always saw achievements as a cheap way for devs to try and add more play time without actually adding content that is substantial and justifies the price for the otherwise underwhelming and lack luster video games at their core.

Black Ops 4 zombies has a secret achievement in tag der toten where when you get up to the second power switch for golden pack you have to get the gearbox up there fix it and get a zombie running on it and hope it flings you to the secret area and when you get to the secret area you have to pop your specialist to survive underwater to get the area then ride the boat back

I did the Breath of the Wild 100% TWICE! Once on normal difficulty and once on master difficulty. I had a lot of free time back then.

"put the game down, it's going to be okay", I needed to hear that.

Have to say that of all the ones on this list, just cause two actually the closest I came. Very very close to finishing the game on the higher difficulties and clearing all areas, and to me that's my 100%. Haven't played it in years, but still remember that. Got all the achievements on that game except for the two for the higher difficulties.

I won't even attempt any multiplayer achievements. Playing multiplayer games usually kind of sucks anyways, but trying to get achievements that you have no control over and you just have to hope that the other players you get randomly teamed up with are good enough and willing to try to help you - that's not my idea of fun.

I’m a trophy hunter/completionist but my trophy progress on The Last of Us is like 3%. There’s two reasons for this: first of all, you get almost no trophies during the process of playing through the game the first time. Secondly, the story in that game is so emotionally draining that I honestly never want to play it ever again. I enjoyed my first play through, but yeah…never again. I’m completely fine with my profile having that game at 3% or whatever forever. Oh, and fuck multiplayer trophies. I never get those because I hate multiplayer. Especially when it’s unnecessarily tacked on to a single player game that doesn’t need it.

With Halo I still remember a time I signed onto my account on a friend's steam deck, and all their achievements went to my account at once so the whole time I was playing I would just get ping after ping of achievement after achievement.

Dude i love Shadow of War and Assassins creed odessey but i never even thought of 100% anyone of them. I dont have the energy for that. I just play to have fun

I gotta say, I got platinum on Visage and didn't even realize I was close to getting it. I was surprised when it popped up on the screen. Those are the best platinums to get. Lol

Guild Wars 2. I just hit 30K achievement points last night after 5 years and there's still like 12K more AP left. Many of them are pvp dependant. It's a huge effort

Sea of Thieves has some of the grindiest achievements, I think. 50 G achievements that take hundreds of hours to complete, not to mention the legacy arena achievements that are no longer attainable

Ive been playing through gen 3 of pokemon to complete the dex, man it's brutal. Only game im missing so far is gale of darkness, and im pretty sure ruby is the only one thats not really needed. Still, needing 5 games is so much 🤣 luckily the copy of sapphire i bought had a wishmaker jirachi on the save file, gonna clone that boi and have amazing trade fodder

I know the Yakuza series probably doesn't count as big games, but damn.. all of those games needs to be on a list somewhere. If you're not on a computer it's almost impossible to 100% some of them. 💀

I got the platinum for Trials Rising. There is a trophy that requires 2 people, but its basically impossible to find some one that is good enough to no fault a track for couch co op and the online is pretty much dead. So i had to do it with me using two controllers stacked on top of each other.

Agents of Mayhem is no longer easy to achieve 100% completion, due to the devs shutting down the game server for online connected contract. Unfortunately, one of the achievements required the players to complete over 30 contracts and even before the server shutdown, this particular achievement is still too difficult to get. It took a lot of time, coordinating with other players, and a lot of grinding in-game just for this particular achievement. Heck, there is even a dedicated forum page for this.

As far as the last of us, that’s probably what I’ve come closest to to 100%. Almost got to winter in my grounded play through but not only was it hard, but the lack of resources in that difficulty just makes it not fun to play. I’m either stealthing by or choking everyone out. Yawn. Definitely got the MP accomplishments tho. I was a beast in supply raid for about 3 straight years. Never played another multiplayer that was incredibly difficult if you were playing with good ppl, but very accessible for the new player at the same time. I’d regularly get about 12 downs and 8-9 executions per game in the supply raid mode where each team gets 20 lives. I’d essentially take out half the times lives alone. I shit you not when I say at one point I was probably among the best in the world at factions. Point is, that multiplayer mode was worth all the learning curves and hurdles you have to get through to get to being that “GUD.” As soon as I found out the remake wasn’t bringing factions back, I immediately decided not to get it.

I personally love hunting achievements and all that, but I still stand by that there is a very specific amd horrible part of hell for devs that puts multiplayer achievements requirements for a 100% in a single-player game

If you like big numbers, Payday 2 on PC has over 1200 achievements. Sure, 8 achievements tied to each heist are just "beat it on this difficulty or higher", but there's still a ton of ones that require planning and skill. And sometimes luck.

Only game I've ever hit 100% on was infamous: second son. Such a good game and actually not too much of a challenge except the evil choices making me feel bad
