If you go back and watch the TV and PPVs in that era, the matches were actually entertaining. If you go back and watch one match by itself, it seems stupid, but you have to put yourself in that mindset. I honestly loved the Lawler-Doink stuff in general, and Men on a Mission were fun when they had their hype man rap for them.

Yeah I only saw a couple of Sheepherders matches, but one of them was better than any Bushwhackers match I'd seen, against the Fantastics at Clash of the Champions II, 1988.

Truth Commission vs. D.O.A. was expected to be a technical masterpiece. I mean, look at the talent involved. I can't see how it went wrong.
