Clean ice means you can transfer some of the coldness from the shaker without starting the dilution period as quickly. Basically to keep as much water out of the drink as possible while still offering a cold drink

@@lancegrey3576 actually, it is indeed 72 years old. It says so on the actual Macallan website. It is in a Lalique crystal bottle which itself costs many thousands of dollars. Macallan makes 50 yr old also, but its way less expensive.
