Former Paramedic here. Have taken quite a few kids to the E/R after they drank alcohol to excess and passed out. Let's just say despite all the activated charcoal and induced vomiting, they were still puking their guts up up to 4 days after discharge. The effects are delayed. Don't do it.

My brother was at a party in college. Some dude was sitting on the window sill (on the third floor). He fell out backwards. Everyone ran down the stairs to see if he was okay... they met him coming up the stairs to rejoin the party. They convinced him to go to the hospital (he thought he was "fine"). At the hospital, they pumped his stomach. They said if they hadn't done so and the alcohol in his stomach had made it into his blood stream, he would have died. Falling backwards from a third story window saved his life. Go figure.

I'm a chef and use these at work for garnish at times. And holy crap are they harsh to me. Maybe because I enjoy whiskey, but I'd rather have the everclear. Unless the everclear neutralizes the buzzbuttons, screw this. The buzz Burton is worse. It's like a hot pepper but more like hooking a car battery to your tongue. I can't stand a nipple from them.

If you're wondering what that plant is, it's called a toothache plant. You can get them at your local Plant Nursery. They numb the sh¡t outta your mouth so don't try and eat until it wears off lol. Edit: Also don't swallow them! You just lightly chew it and let it sit wherever you want to be numb, then after a few minutes or 5-10 min spit it out!

This flower is very commum in the north part of Brazil and here we call it Jambu. We actually eat the leafs, they have the same numb propety but much less powerful. We use in a bunch of regioal dishes like Tacacá - a soup made of tucupi (extract liquid of casava root) and salt shrimp, Duck on tucupi, paraense rice. They are all delicius. We even made cachaça from this flower thats end up with a alchoolic beverage with numbness. U have to taste. it called Cachaça de Jambu. Its a unique experience, hear me.

It’s essentially rubbing alcohol but drinkable.

fun fact: you can run a combustion engine in a car or motorcycle on everclear because it's almost pure ethanol. Also good for soaking rags for molotovs

No you can’t Unless it’s designed or tuned to run on alcohol. It need a TON more alcohol than gasoline to run If you try to use alcohol and you haven’t done anything to the car (unless it’s a flex fuel vehicle), you’re very likely to have major damage to the fuel system and the engine

I was a moron when i was young and decided to take everclear shots all night. When i woke up the next day my mouth was in so much pain. It was all scaly, almost like the inside of my mouth was burnt drom chemicals or acid. Milk was my best friend that day.

Starting my lawn mower with everclear brings me back to my younger days

Not saying anything cause I don't believe a word of the bullshit coming out of this man's mouth; but, because I'm bored, hypothetically speaking, if this man was telling the truth, wouldn't the chewed up plant also cause that same "numbing tingling" sensation in the throat because the plant would have to make contact with the throat in it's passing to and through his esophagus? I don't even know why I care so much. It's not like the internet has anything nice to say. It could be argued that asking for the internet's opinion of a hypothetical argument to a video we obviously know is total hogwash is a terrible choice of activity to cure boredom because there is nothing but pain and "your mom" jokes, which really hurts my feelings and in a best case scenario, I get to hear that my hypothetical argument would only hypothetically be valid saying that the hypothetical person that I was discussing this hypothetical argument with was able to perform a hypothetical experiment to prove my hypothetical findings to argue a point to something that in all reality is totally fake. I'm pretty sure the odds of mom jokes being my fate is the same as the percentage of bacteria the bottle of hand sanitizer kills when you rub it on your hands, which is 99.9%. Also, that guy better hope he doesn't do an experiment where he eats random plants to "prove" that it does something and then wins a Darwin award when he finds out that the plant is poisonous after it's too late and he's already eaten the plant like a dum dum.

Oh lord that Everclear brought back some baaaad memories 😅 my dad used to smuggle that stuff into our state back in the ‘80s and it was the only booze us kids could sneak that he wouldn’t notice (bcuz of the sheer volume of it, lol), and as 15 yo it was def just like battery acid… going in and coming back up 😅

This flower is very commum in the north part of Brazil and here we call it Jambu. We actually eat the leafs, they have the same numb propety but much less powerful. We use in a bunch of regioal dishes like Tacacá - a soup made of tucupi (extract liquid of casava root) and salt shrimp, Duck on tucupi, paraense rice. They are all delicius. We even made cachaça from this flower thats end up with a alchoolic beverage with numbness. U have to taste. it called Cachaça de Jambu. Its a unique experience, hear me.

You should only buy ever clear if you intend to use it as a mixer. Like a shot of it for like a gallon of juice or something. That 190 proof is deadly.

Fun fact. Everclear is meant to be mixed. Youre not meant to drink it straight. Much like those concentrated vodkas you add water to until you get the desired strongness.

Should have read the ingredient list. I worked at a liquor store when that came out. It was all branding, literally no actual Everclear in it.
