I had a raccoon back in the early 70’s. He’d go where ever I went. I’d go in the woods and he’d follow me. I use to make a little campfire and cook a hamburger in aluminum foil and Rascal had climbed a dead tree and slept it it’s crotch. It was winter and he was lethargic so when I trilled for him to come he tried crawling down but the bark slipped so he crawled back to that crotch and wouldn’t come down. I figured I’d follow his tracks in the snow but he stayed there for 3 days. It snowed out and when I went back the next day he was gone and his tracks were snow covered. I was with him every day. He’d truddle along or when the weather was warm he’d ride on my shoulder as I rode my bike. Your story reminded be of him. I’m now 65 but he filled a void in my youth sort of like the book written by Sterling North about his own “ring tailed wonder”

Tito gave you the directions for Cheeto and Piper. They all provided the foundation to help many raccoons in the future. And y'all have taught so many people about these awesome animals. Thank you so much, you both are so appreciated 💗

Tito was and still is such a good raccoon. Losing him must have been tremendously heartbreaking and for that I'm sorry. But through your channel and him you guys have helped relieve the negative stigma towards raccoons, and with a rehab center being planned? Tito has changed history, and you've made ours. We lost our pet skunk as well and unfortunatly we know that since she was domesticated and didnt have her defense we know the outcome for her wasn't great. But those pets gave us love and happiness for the times they gave us and all we can do is hope the animals had a happy life.

Tito was OG he will forever be remembered and missed by all of us. Keep on keeping on brother you know Tito would have wanted that. He's probably big chillin using all of the skills you taught him to be a successful big boy on his own. He's out there making you proud.

Hi! Thanks to you Tito is a strong and smart cookie. My gut feeling is that he figured out what he needed to do to survive. And you just never know, he could still turn up one day. I had a cat who was gone for years just walked back through the pet door one day.

Sorry for your loss. Tito must have now founded a family with a Mrs. Tito and some Titos kids coming along now with even a lill Miss. Tita. You did a super job to document and establish a counter legend that racoons are not all rabid, bad and mischievious. But they are surely fun to watch and so clean.

As a raccoon mom myself, the thought of losing any of my babies would be devastating. Then it happened. My Annie escaped her enclosure and I never got her back. HOWEVER, I know she is still around. She had 2 kit litters last year and quite honestly is living her best life. Shes vaccinated and had a healthy start to life - she will have many happy years in the trees. Raccoons have such strong basic instincts I know Tito is just fine. He too will have many happy years in the trees. =) But no words can ease the feel of the loss of such a beloved fur baby.

Very well spoken but very sad to us because we have been huge tito fans since the beginning and Tito and yourself of course have always brought great joy and laughter into our home we would always check to see if he made it back but one thing you have to remember Mitchell you did everything and everything possible to give Tito raccoon royalty to the fullest and it brought joy into the lives of all who watched your videos we still are fans and enjoy your new family as well!

Only discovered this channel 3 days ago, and instantly fell in love with Tito. I have lived in a city now for 5 years, and my cat is 8. He's a real outdoors boy and in summer he's usually outside more than he is inside. He's my baby, and I get completely sick when I've not seen him in like 12 hours, or a day or so. He was gone for 2 days last summer, must have been out having fun... But I'm always anxious about him being out for extended periods, and always wondering where he is and what he's up to. It's not the same, but I can't imagine how the two of you must have felt then- and how you may feel now. Hopefully not quite as utterly bereft, but I imagine still sadness and plenty of thoughts of just wondering. The not knowing is what people say is the hardest part. It definitely can't be any easier since keeping his name for everything (which is such a sweet thing, and good on you for sticking by it). I am so new to your channel, but I desperately hope he finds his way back to you, and wants to stay for good- that one big, wild, adventure was enough for him. Especially as he's not met little Piper, and barely got to know Cheeto.

My little girl rocket passed away on December 14 and I'm destroyed, I remember when you lost Tito I couldn't imagine what it must have felt like and now I know, this is the worst pain I have ever felt so I sympathize with you but 2020 Corona didn't get me but this killed me inside but thank you for posting the videos they bring some joy and help cope a bit.

We all miss Tito and share your pain. He was so much fun to watch, but I guess he decided to go out and see the world, see how the other raccoons live on the wild side! The good news is Cheeto and Piper will keep you on your toes while keeping the rest of us laughing! Raccoons are about the most entertaining animals to watch especially when they live in someone else's house! I raised 20 of them myself last year so I know how much fun they are and all of the not-so-fun stuff that goes with raising them! They are an incredible animal, but there are a lot of reasons that they do not make good pets! Out of all the raccoons that I have raised from orphans and rehabilitated, I've only had 1 that thought he might like to be a house pet rather than an outdoor raccoon. That attitude only lasted until he was approaching a year old then off he finally went. He does still visit from time to time, but he's not as loving as he used to be and not nearly as easy to stop when he decides to raid dad's bait bucket in the garage or try to go fishing in the aquarium! My time with him now is kept mostly outdoors or in the garage for that reason. He's a grown up now and doesn't want me ruining his street cred I guess, but he likes a few scratches in those hard to reach spots every so often. The others will come up for food or cookies, a few still like some attention, but most will tolerate it just to get a treat. They always wean me off of them rather than the other way around! The girls seem to always come home to have their babies, but most of the boys move on and I rarely see any of them past their first birthday. Unfortunately, there are more orphans in need every year usually because of humans cutting down trees, allowing their dogs to guard a den tree night and day so a mamma coon can't get food or move her babies without being forced to fight and usually loose her life to the dog. They are intelligent animals with emotions similar to ours and they're treated horribly by so many. I love that you're showing them as the funny, curious, smart little critters that they are! They're not just a pest!

Even though I’m not a frequent viewer of this channel I still am a subscriber and for that I want to say that I miss Tito so much he was one of the internet’s little bean.

Such a shame.. No matter how strong you are, it always hurts to lose a pet, as they are family. Or even more than family; a part of you. (I can speak from experience.) Pets like that are irreplaceable. Keep Tito in your heart, as i do with my (sadly) passed away German Shepherds.

I know how it feels. I foster baby raccoons for a local rescue team and every year I have to give them up and it’s one of the hardest things I’ve been through but it’s all worth it just knowing that their where they belong and I helped them get there.

TITO COME HOME WE MISS YOU. I feel so bad for you man. I have 2 dogs that have passed. I cry myself to sleep almost every night. It's just like so much was taken away from me. I just started tearing up a little. I've gotten happier the past 3-4 years because we have a new loving and caring dog but ill NEVER forget about them.
