I've been using Power Service in all of my diesels. I can't say that it may have avoided/prevented your CE from throwing a code but at least you got it remedied. The A8L TDI was supposed to have been my next sled but with no regrets, I'm driving a '16 X5 35d w'Mild Hybrid. It replaced my E250 4Matic which replaced my B7 Passat TDI (6SpM). Love your sled!

I’m looking to buy one and do things to it, just a little lowering, wheels exhaust and maybe a tune .. nothing crazy, glad I found your channel

Do you still own the car? How’s it been treating you?

What kind of fuel economy do you get with the tdi? Besides the maintenance costs that's what I was hoping to hear. Especially with the long drives you've done.

Im lookin at purchasing a used '16-'18(?) A8 4.0 (or 3.0T with stage 1) (4.0T @50k-80k miles). What am I getting into? What should I look for?

On the 4.0 vA8. The pcv valve will have to be replaced at around 120k. So make sure that you get paperwork that the dealership put a new one in. Cause they cost a ton to get replaced. Also if you’re gonna boost up the power. Just spend the money asap on high power valve springs before tuning and boosting the power up. Also make sure you get upgraded suspension parts when adding more power.

they’re great cars, just make sure the turbo screens have been replaced under recall & tbh they don’t hold they’re value @ all so u can get them cheap
