Want to know what's good or bad about the new 2021 Ford Bronco Sport? Here's a quick look at some things you should know about the Ford Bronco Sport including the different trim levels. This Ford Bronco Sport shown is the First Edition, which is the top of the line limited edition model. I talk about things the lower trim level Bronco Sport models have too. Despite these dislikes and some nitpicking...this new Bronco Sport is a really cool vehicle, although expensive. Let me know what you like or don't like and I'd love to hear from any owners!

To anyone skeptical on comfort etc I drove from NY to Utah and it was a very comfortable ride. I have the Outer Banks. Also when you put the seats down in the back you can lift up the trunk floor to make it level with seats so you can sleep in the back. Had a great trip with my bronco.

I traded my 2018 Escape sport for the Big Bend Bronco Sport and I disagree with a few of your opinions. I find it rides beautiful. It's smooth, handles the roads well and is a real pleasure to drive. As far as the three cylinder engine goes? I almost didn't buy it when I was told it was a three cylinder. But after owning the vehicle since January I come to be more than happy with this little engine. Plenty of power where I need it and I am averaging 29.5 mpg. What's not to like about that? It's absolutely rock solid in the snow and is more than capable of going off road within common sense limits. This is not the Bronco it is the Bronco Sport. So if you're looking for an off roader buy the Bronco or a Jeep Wrangler. But if you're looking for a roomy, fun to drive, good looking buggy with a lot of very cool features I would definitely recommend anyone to give this cool little Bronco a look.

Wait, so you wouldn’t recommend off-roading with this? I am looking into getting this but I off-road a lot. Mostly dirt roads and snow are what I need it for. Not like crazy huge boulders or anything, but some large rocks and stretches of very bumpy roads. You think it would be fine?

I swear the Bronco Sport is just the modern redesign of the old escape and based on the chassis of the newest generation... I am trying to upgrade from my current escape, a 2019:) I hope Ford is a little fair lol, but I am definitely excited to be getting a "reincarnation" of my first car. I have owned my Big Bend since January. The more I drive it, the better I like it. Only paid $28k for mine. It’s comfortable, love the styling and the view out the windshield. Extremely maneuverable. No squeaks or rattles. The 1.5 has no trouble getting up to freeway speeds or passing on a two lane. Zero drama just goes. The automatic feature of the headlights is outstanding. I am getting older and it just makes night time driving on country roads so much safer! I only encountered one good snowfall after buying it, but it handled it very well.

Unfortunately they changed the look and didn't stick to the $22k and up they promised. So instead you now have people willing to pay $40k for a 3 cylinder ?!?!?! They're taking advantage of the inpatient and FOMO types, and I'm fine with that. The smarter people will wait until the 2023-2024 versions hit that will have better options, engines, and prices. I only get 20 mpg city though, which is less than what Ford advertises. Steers tight and corners like a race car. Interior is very nice and I got a moonroof (hard to get now due to import shortages). 1.The 3cyl is a large 3cyl, so I think sometimes we hear the phrase, '3cyl', and we think 'it's gonna be crap', but I have a 2020 Ford Escape S AWD, and the engine has been pretty peppy--even with three people in it. 2. Because of the utility and design of the roof, a panoramic wouldn't work. You'd have to get rid of the 'safari style' to go panoramic 3. With an AWD system and a boxy style that won't cut through the air very well, I think 28 isn't too bad--I don't know of any AWD crossover that would do better. FWD ones? Yeah, they will. 4. Electronic tailgate would be cool, since the Escape does have that feature. I'd like to have that 'zone lighting' and the 'window liftgate' on my Escape.

So far the only negative I see is that the back seats do not lay totally flat and the engine sizes. I do like that the new Bronco vs the 2004 Ford Escape are so very, very close in size, length, height, clearance, turning radius (a big plus) and the front bumper/rear bumper clearance. Not thrilled with the price. We are still deciding on purchasing one. Thank you for your honest review it has helped. These reviews are hilarious. If they had called these the things the "Escape Sport" half these reviews would love it. We all know it is not really a Bronco. It like an Escape that is slightly better offroad and light trails. You WILL get almost 30mpgs. I had a Mazda CX-30 to use for work on grading sites and the AWD was awesome with some better tires, but I couldn't get better than 23mpgs from a 2.5L 180hp motor. There really isn't any vehicle that compares to the Bronco Sport right now. Not for size and capability. Not everyone wants/ needs a truck or body on frame, especially for daily driving.

It was time to trade in my F-150 and I was looking for a new small crossover for daily commutes and mild over roading. We also get a ton of snow here in NY State. I narrowed it down to the 2021 Ford Bronco and the 2021 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. I went with the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. The ride and MPG are better...plus the incentives Jeep had were hard to pass up. The Jeep was $38K before discounts and trade in. After trade in and financing, I paid just over $24K.

With the amount of hours I work and about a 2 hour commute to work IN THE SNOW with my previous vehicle, it was time for an upgrade. Someday I'll get to trade this pony in for the Bronco. The dealership I went to had a year waiting list plus %20 markup on it, so I traded my go-kart focus hatchback and drove out with a sporty pony. Now I just have to get some snow tires for this thing and not be skating all over with the all seasons equipped🤦‍♂️

I’m glad you like it! I actually do know what I’m talking about and I’ve driven about every brand and several models from each to have something to compare it to. For this class of vehicle, it’s a stiffer and bumpier ride than pretty much all of them. I never said it didn’t have enough power, but for the low end trim levels a 3 cylinder is not ideal, and probably not reliable. I still like the Bronco Sport, and think it’s a neat vehicle. I do these “good and bad” videos on lots of vehicles....not to hate on them, but to make people aware. I guess you just wanted to address the negative points I made and not the positive ones.

Everything would be stripped out of the gas sipper edition so it has no doors or roof to cut back on weight. The roof and sides would be canvas that you put over a doon-buggy type of frame.

Thanks for the review. It just confirmed the decision that we made yesterday, to NOT buy it. Love the look but it really needs to improve on those fun features that other vehicles in this price point provide as standard. But frankly, the number one reason for not buying was the noise level. I mean it's the Bronco Sport not the Bronco (where you remove the doors to have that wrangler experience) so they might have thought of adding some insulation. I felt as though I was riding with all the windows open. Just terrible. If they can make some of these improvements going forward, they'll get even more folks back to the brand.

It's a 3 cylinder, it doesn't need to be a two cylinder at any time, it's already worrisome enough that it has only cylinders. ALSO, cylinder deactivation has been a problem for GM and Ram V8s. When you deactivate cylinders, you are effectively cooling on side of a warm block, thus encouraging metal possible warp or deform. I saw a video on this, and I have a friend whose 2017 High Country with the 5.3 had this problem.
