@@JussiPryyl its actually easy if you have played g major 3 string scale before ... play with slow speed for some days and after some days you will get to speed
here i see the example of a musician who went to a class which also had a good teacher advising "always draw your arrows" . he is so right.
Dear Stive, Greeting from Ethiopia. You inspired me to begin Guitar and I feel like you always sat next to me to show me how. You are awesome. God bless you,
I'm liking your "no fuss" approach to teaching. Making things instantly useable, without bogging players down with the "why", when that can be learned later when the mechanics have become instinctive.

+surfdigby YUP! This guy would've saved me years if I practiced to these vids in high school.. Very direct, visual apt yet verbally accessible for a multitude of learners. Deserves more subs!

He does teach theory as well, it's just that he makes it clear when he's teaching something practical, when its total theory, and when it's a mix. So he's easy to follow and learn from.

it is awesome to learn a lick that sounds epic like this one does, but if you know more, like scales and progressions, you could take this technique and apply it to your own solos. fun fact: solos is solos backwards.

when I teach people (I'm not a pro teacher, I'm only doing this for family and friends) I always try to teach them a few simple cords first and tell them they don't need to worry about why these work together and why the are in the shapes they are. E, A, G, C, and D first because they can use these 5 on like 90% of accoustic songs, and the ones where these aren't enough, they usually need to learn only one more.
You have really opened my mind and understanding. I have been playing by ear mostly for 34 years, you have shown me what I've been doing all these year in theory. Thanks Steve for all the help and support you have created on KZread.
Love how you break things down to such simple elements and show how they're combined!
This guy gives the most useful guitar lessons I have found on KZread. Excellent.
Great kesson. You are a fantastic teacher. Thanks for taking time to film and post.
I watched 3 of your videos and subscribed, and IMO you're one o f the three best guitar teachers (that I have seen) on KZread. Great stuff!
i watched many other videos with talented people saying the same things but for some reason i got more out of you, so basically your a good teacher, after 2 vids i already have a faster approach to notes on the fretboard, and soloing, looking forward to explore the rest of your site.. thanks
i've been surfing KZread for a long period time of searching sources to improve my guitar skill but your video is really helpful..goodjob
This guy is superb! Thats how to teach! Clear and precise and doesn't get too far ahead. Well done mate!
Amazing!!! Just pure amazing. I never knew I could take a major pattern and do that. This is making my guitar journey so much fun. Thank you man!!
Once again Thanks GuitarZoom.com for getting Steve to teach us newbie a trick or two. I watched your session this morning and then went to my first break/practice this afternoon and I played lead.....and it was cool!!!! I also did it with multiple cords. TY GZ & SS!!!
Love your videos dude!
I think Steve is probably the most inspiring music teachers I've come across on the internet. His lessons are geared towards logic and how to apply that whilst a guitar is in your hand, as opposed to simply imparting knowledge and leaving the rest for you to figure out.
Steve, This is great, I love the way in flows through the strings. You have been more help to me by getting me beyond the pentatonix and miner scales. But to all of you that think you don't need too or feel its a waste of time, the key to playing great lead is all in there in ever lead you have ever hard and ever song. Steve I have made great strides from your lessons, one of witch was the 27 Texas blues licks. when I play a lead I use a lot of the techniques from the Texas blues. Thank you
I never thought that I.d be able get some cool sounds from just six notes, you,re great Steve,,
I find this to be a great warm up. Thank you for sharing :)
Hey steve, good teacher u r.. really enjoy it. great to find u here..really help dude.. thanks.
Hello mr Stine your teaching demonstration is great, I like your stile and you actually showed notes along with the frets.
Good stuff showing us how to learn it and not just giving out the pattern and having to try to work it out ourselves many thanks looking forward to more lessons from you Thankyou, Peter
Thanks for vid. This is just what I was looking for to build up my speed.
Really helpful. Thank you.
love your style of teaching bro having again ....
yeah, I can do that.... about 25 bpm. Thanks for the thorough teaching style. You answer questions about technique before I even think of asking.

Another awesome video. Every time I see this guy play and explain things, I really get pumped and motivated. This is what I hoped playing my new guitar could be like. The first lessons I looked at from other instructors on-line, I was like "crap I'll never learn this and I'm out a stack" Thanks to this video so much, for keeping me motivated!

Thank you, just thank you. I have watched plenty of tutorials, video lessons and whatnot on the web... but in 5 minutes you proved you are different. I was forced to learn music theory as a kid (was playing piano at the time) and it killed it for me. I taught myself how to play the guitar, but I can only play stuff I've learned by heart. I am confident your simple introductory technique is going to change everything for me, because I just get it, and because it's all about having fun! I had been looking for just that. Again, thank you.
Articulated very well, both musically and verbally
thank you verry much 👏👏👏
awesome

Hi Steve, I absolutely love your approach to teaching. And I've been keeping tune pretty often. I've picked up a guitar, but struggle with where to start. I've played music for over a decade now, mostly on the brass instruments. I have a thorough understanding of modes, melodic/harmonic minors as well, time and keys, etc. If I could even just get a link to something that would help me apply what I know, or some tips, that'd be a huge help. Thanks!
Yeah I've been practicing, and trying to not shift pattern when you end on a down. It takes a lot of practice, but if you force yourself to do it, eventually it comes. Great video! Time to go shred.
amazing sir :) i lke it ...

Yep you can ascend doing the same pattern too. All Gilbert-esque runs and moderately easy for how good they sound.
Excellent ! Slow enough for me to catch it all. Some strings I even run both ways! 🙂

Beautiful sir , Llove from Pakistan, pretty cOol pattern, Blessings,
Nice... I've been self learner on guitar. U know just pick up music on hearing, but most of solo has extremely fast part where i cant even recognize which sounds play. But learning dif kind of techniques will help me to understand what they playing without picking up each sound. Thx bro ^_^

I'm a proacastonator. I have the Ultimate steve stine lesson collection downloaded from Utube! your voice is easy to listen to and you explain things simply and slowly. I will study them! I just started on bobby 'Crispy 60 rock licks. I like it I only wish he would say what key the licks are in so too play with a backing track!
More great stuff! I love it. What model of Ibanez guitar is that?
