Since you asked about filler Out of 1030 episodes there is around 106 filler eps (naruto had 93 for 200 eps) 1 filler arc is basically a mandatory watch because it’s so good it was referenced in the anime later Later on A majority of filler is build up for movies or games Unfortunately in the first 120 episodes there are two filler arcs that have cannon scenes in them so you ether have to just watch those scenes for the lore or accidentally skip but they haven’t done that since to my knowledge As for quality of filler I’d say most of them are pretty good/fit well enough in the story that you might not know they are filler if you don’t look at a list before (in the 4kids dub they made a filler arc cannon and since I grew up on that I just watched all the filler anyway) there are some tho that are so much of a change of pace that are just no good

@@Breadhead11 Keep in mind that the reason there are so few filler episodes is because the anime a often *heavily* stretches out the canon material. For context, the current arc is adapting half-to-one-full-chapter a week. By comparison, the industry standard for a "direct" adaptation is 2-3 full chapters. So basically four to six times the amount that One Piece adapts. This results in extreme slow downs, unnecessary and dramatic changes to pacing that aren't intended by the author, and several other major issues around animation and framing of events. This is not an indictment against the anime. It's a totally valid way to enjoy One Piece. But it is a fair acknowledgement that virtually *every single problem* you'll encounter in the anime simply does not exist in the definitive version, which is the manga. If you get into this, do it your own way my brother. But do it with all the information on hand to make the decision for how you wanna go about doing so.

I’m caught up in both the anime and manga. For the anime, there’s really not that much filler for an anime that has 1036 episodes. It does start slow, but I’m glad I stuck for the ride

i only skipped cross-over ep and ep that had nothing to do with the current story. those are pretty few. There are technically quite a lot of filler but its all woven into the story as mini-arcs between the bigger arcs so its quite fun to watch those too.

One piece doesn't have much filler. But its thing is the pacing, Oda enjoys so much this world so much that he takes plenty of time to flesh it out. One arc that many probably skipped is the foxy arc though.

BROOO Foxy has so many important character moments definitely don't skip that!! Just skip the filler parts of it maybe, so it doesn't feel as long.

Filler in OP is limited....out of 1065 eps id say there's like 100 or so filler eps, n most are worth watching at least once....except G8, its ALWAYS worth a watch. Read the manga. I find the 2 supplement each other nicely, especially for the action scenes

at least 300 sec of episodes the guy didn't see because he was enjoying the music😂 And others 50 because he see goku😂 Honestly, it was a little agonizing to see because he practically averted his eyes from the most impactful moments of the anime lol At least he didn't get spoiled

Also you mentioned it but toriko and dragon ball have had filler episodes.the author oda got inspired to make a manga by dragon ball. For manga naruto and one piece had crossovers for cover art, the straw hat logo was drawn on the hokage faces and in one piece naruto was partly shown at a table eating with Luffy

While watching one piece, I knew nothing about filler. I like anime but i wasn't apart of the fandom. I get so mad when i found out that people skip fillers because they're so good with a few exceptions. Also, i really do hope you watch one piece, this might sound typical but you will not regret it. Unless you're like me who has a hard time with recommendations.

The reason the song keeps changing is so the theme matches the episodes those songs opened on.

I literally watch nearly all filler except the one in enius lobby cuz it was in the middle of it, the chibi one and the one and the one where the girl with the blue hair who looks like nami.

One Piece is 1041 episodes long and still running, with the manga being farther ahead but still incomplete. Out of the 1041 episodes, only around 100 or so are filler, which is about 10% filler, but the quality of the filler is so good that it is usually worth watching.

Watching one piece in 3 months isn't as hard as it sounds, it's basically 3 hours a day for 3 months (well thats 900 episodes but close enough).

about the filler, i understand that most skip fillers in other anime but one piece filler is some of the best, they're short 2-3 episodes and are a great break from the main story once in a while.

I didn't skip any filler. There really isn't that much filler in it anyway and it's pretty decent

so how people watched 1000 ep in 3 months is due to the old anime way where the first 4 to 10mins of an episode is a recap/opening, and also the ending song takes up part of the 24min long episode. so some episodes only up to 15mins of actual new content. this goes on for about 500 or so episodes, and there is only like 10% of the total series is filler. you get get through 4 episodes in an hour, and if you are watching like 5-6 hours a day, you can easily catch up in 3 months

The Anime has less and less filler over time. Newer arcs almost have no filler, but that is because the episodes simply get dragged out to fill in the time. For this reason the pacing of later episodes becomes much slower (and in my opinion unwatchable, but I'm a bit stingy), but you can decide what you think about it for yourself in a short 600 episodes lol. I almost watched all fillers, since I didn't knew the concept of fillers at that time. I think they are skipable, but you can watch them after you're caught up, if you're starving for one piece content.

I'm not an expert but I looked up a few numbers. One Piece is about 9-10% filler, compare that to Dragon Ball with 14%, and both Naruto and Shippuden at like 38-40%, I think Bleach is nearly 45% I won't claim One Piece doesn't have pacing issues if you're binging it but it was made for syndication airing over decades and compared to it's competitors it doesn't have that much. A lot of filler is actually pretty good too and worth watching, you get kind of a fun side adventure to see the crew interact and bond.

Yeah there are a couple filler arcs most of them bad a couple are decent, the pacing also drags at certain parts of the story.

I watched EVERY episode at least 12 times. No cap. And I cry every time. Surprisingly not that much filler

Hey man, if the anime is too daunting - which is totally fair, shit's like 25 straight days of watching to catch up - remember that the manga is the definitive edition. There's also a digitally colored version of the manga that has all but about 70 chapters in beautiful, artistic color. Don't be afraid to sit back and crack a volume, or read either the classic or colored manga. It's a fantastic way to experience One Piece. I won't say it's better than the anime, but as a fan since 2005, it's the way I would recommend you consume One Piece first.

it`s 1038 episodes in One Piece and 11% are fillers (In Naruto 42%)

So the amount of filler is pretty low like others are saying. However, you will notice the longer you go on, one of the ways they reduce filler is by dragging scenes out more than they're supposed to be. So there is that. You'll notice it more in some arcs than others.

There’s very very little filler in one piece so little that I can only remember one which was like 2 episodes. I actually did finish one piece In under 3 months but that’s because it’s was summer break and during covid at that so I LITERALLY had all the time in the world to just no life it.

I think there's about 70-100 filler episodes, but I also feel like that's wayy too much-- all I know is I skipped 3-4 fillers because they actually had 0% of the story in them. Imagine Naruto was fighting someone and then the next episode he was working at Walmart.

Currently 1035 episodes. About 10% is filler but it’s good and funny not the shitty filler you’ll find in Naruto and Shippuden or even bleach. The one one piece filler is actually quite enjoyable and watchable. And some of it even has cannon mixed in the episodes

I’ve all he One Piece episodes. When I first watched OP I was 13 and I was new to anime so didn’t know about filler episodes so I just watched all of them. I didn’t mind the OP fillers but Bleach fillers PISSED ME OFF! I didn’t know what filler was so I didn’t think to skip them. I remember watching the war arc and just as things were getting good Bleach would go onto what I now understand as Filler. This angered me so much because I just wanted to watch Ichigo fight Aizen but instead I had to watch random side stories in the middle of a serious arc💢🤬! As I watched more anime I found out about what fillers were and this just made me more mad because I could have skipped that crap in Bleach and saved myself the time💢😡.

There are technically 2 one piece openings you’ve missed I believe Episode 1000 opening And the 4kids dub opening Speaking of the 4kids dub when you eventually watch one piece (let’s be honest you’ve already been hooked) I’ll probably mention changes made since they tried making the show rated 7+. Classic ones are sanji’s cigarettes being lollipops, guns being removed, arcs being removed, characters being removed, countless name changes ect

skip? nahh every canon episode usually has some details that are connected to earlier or even far future episodes. Well some episodes do have bad pacing, but the stories in those episodes are much better delivered in the manga
