My Cockatiel Charlie watches KZread while I’m at work so he doesn’t get lonely. I came home from work last Friday and Charlie kept saying I’m an eagle and lifting his wings! It was hilarious and completely adorable!

I love the little "I'm an Eagle!" Sound, it's so cute 🥺

I have a Quaker parrot (and many others), but his owner is NOT ruining the video at all. Presenting the words to the bird in an excitable voice with a high pitch is very helpful to get the bird to learn and imitate the sound. They are more likely to learn a word if it interests them, lower sounds will possibly be deemed as more threatening or uninteresting

Mine spoke for the first time the other day, he said good boy and now says it frequently. He is a year old. His voice was deeper than I expected it to be, quite gravelly actually

i agree adam some get speaking easier than other . like they greys, i think it helps to speak in a high voice to some as they get to learn the words easier . prob why the bird speaks so clearly x

100% agree. Only the high pitch voice really gets them yapping. My chap has learned about 3 phrases from me yet about 15 from different women/girls. I’ve gotta practise my falsetto!

This parrot is one of the cutest, smartest, and sweetest birds that I have seen. The owner must have super patience and love of the pet. Thanks for posting your videos. I know you need to talk high pitched voice to small parrots in order for their willingness to talk because I am ex-ower of a Sun Conure and a Quaker parrot.

My African Grey got excited hearing this from another room. Every time the woman spoke he would whistle. I had to stop the video (no offense to the creator!) because he picks up other words VERY fast and didn't want him repeating it lol. I will watch it again when he's asleep.

Haha my little boy says "whatcha doin" and he lost his mind seeing another Quaker say it.

i love your quaker, i have a blue quaker and she is only about 6 months. i only hope that i can teach her to talk like your little jose. she loves to sit and watch him talk so i put her by my pc so she can see him.she is yet to say anything but i can hear her mumble sometimes.

i once brought my quaker fishing and he flew around the skies for a bit. after a while he came back down and i could see some type of falcon/eagle trying to catch him for food. it flew down swiftly trying to grab him but my quaker managed to our maneuver it. i live in canada ontario

林朗新 PHLLY That's natural in nature. Predator birds like hawks actually kill and eat Quakers. Be careful and make sure he/she doesn't get hurt.

It already flew away a long time ago. I asked my sister why, she said quakers have an innate tendency to fly off to find a mate. Whether or not that's true, I miss 'Johnny'

LimitNine no need for nastiness, if you don't have anything nice to say best keep your gob shut!! Perfect bird and loving owner. You obviously spend loads of time with your baby. Ignore people like limitnine, jealousy will get them nowhere, and in the long run you have a perfect bird who talks so beautifully.

I love it, very cute. I have a talkative Quaker myself. For the record for those complaining about her voice, birds learn to talk better with higher pitched voice (Usually from a female). Both my husband and I use a higher pitched voice when speaking to our birds..

she's definitely talking to him in that tone because it's easier for the bird to imitate. Plus that's her pet, she can baby talk and squeal to him as much as she damn well pleases, it has nothing to do with "USA over the top culture."

This bird is originally from South America but it is all over the world. Your "original" language is Spanish, since you speak better by pronouncing those words. But I'm surprised to see one of them speaking in English! he/she is so cute💕

People need to chill out. Talking in a higher pitch sing-song voice is more likely to get the bird interested in learning what the owner says. Cute bird, nnpirates! :)

I just recently bought a Quaker Parrot at a local "bird" store and I will be getting him/her within the next few days (still a baby; Owner is currently weening it off its baby formula). Im excited for its arrival because Ive never owned a bird before and Im anxious for the experience. Your Quaker is cute. Thats all I have to really say. :)

Your Quaker is adorable and obviously loved by his humans. Please, please please ck out the wonderful information sites on the internet on Quaker Parrots for diet etc, ie: caffiene is not good for parrots along with multiple other do's and don't listed on these sites. My quakers are 14 and 26 and between the Quaker websites and Birdtalk journal I have been able to keep my quakers as safe as possible by knowing what is and what is not safe.

So cute! He's an eagle. Love him.
