Beautiful buns Joshua. I managed to commercial bakery for 20 years. We would heat apricot or apple jelly until it was liquid, and then brush them over the buns after they came out of the oven. Just a little tip if anyone’s going to try to make these, these will make them that much more delicious. Thanks for your content brother.

I love making homemade cinnamon rolls. Josh is right. They are so easy and delicious! I found a recipe for a citrus version of these rolls in one of my old cookbooks. I am a student and I got a part-time job, but I try to cook as much as I can to eat healthily. However, it gets boring sometimes and you want to cook something amazing! but, voila you also need to go to work or work on that assignment you gotta submit in a week :(. Ohh! By the way, I am gonna try this one. I am sure it will be a disaster, but hey! at least I'll try.

Isn't that subjective, though? If you have to drive an hour to get to the Fast Casual the majority of the meals that do not involve baking here can beat the time. Or you can be like me and live across the street from McDonalds with a row of brand new eateries coming in the summer and 50 additional choices a DoorDash away. You'd be stunned at what a Home Chef who plans ahead and knows their way around the kitchen can accomplish in less than 30 minutes, too. While Josh clearly takes his time making his own everything because he loves it, he also encourages the habits essential for making meals quickly (plan ahead, prep in advance, do things while things are cooking) when it comes time to cook.

A 1 oz package of amylase is $6 on Amazon and I’m guessing the cost of the amount he used is pennies. I would not worry about it.

@@gattamom When my kids were little and I was a broke single mom, the initial outlay of $6 for one unnecessary ingredient on top of 3 sticks of butter actually made a difference despite what it costs per unit. Nowadays, I wouldn’t really worry about it. I know it sounds petty, but it depends on the financial circumstances.

Have you ever made Butterhorns? I remember loving them as a child. Whenever we went out for breakfast they were the first thing I would look for on the menu. But it seems like no one makes them anymore except for that grocery store pre-packaged stuff(Papa, please no like!) that has very little comparison to the big, beautiful, soft, and flaky Butterhorns(Mmmm! So buttery!) that I remember.
