I have tried to keep my left shoulder down and by doing it, it would keep my head down and loose balance and hit it fat. I just concentrate on keeping my swing long and wide so my left shoulder hits my chin in the way back and then on following through. That’s the only swing though that helps me. I definitely see your point and keeping my head tilted at address also helps back swing. Another great point!!

New subscriber….after watching some videos I had immediate results. Finding my natural swing path…not being so regimented. This stuff just resonates with me and I shot just 42 on 9 holes (bad weather) and I’ve been playing just over two years …realistically Iam about 15 handicap but can’t wait get back out there. Especially trying the driver things. My practice swing looks just like yours…I just need to get out to the range and practice/fine tune it. My question is what irons should I be using? I’ve been playing ap2 - which I can hit ok….also I have g430 irons which I hit better but should I be aspiring to a more players club?

The biggest improvement to my game recently has been getting my head down as I come into impact. It has helped with tilts, impact, stopped early extension. So many benefits for me.

Great video, Mr Malaysia seems to advocate the same strong left hand but his release looks different, any thoughts?

Centre of mass behind centre of ball; all others start to move mass to the perimeter

I had made a comment about keeping head down in one of your videos but what I should have said keeping the ball in my vision on backswing would somewhat hurt my neck.

Pre-turning the head 20 degrees will help you finish the backswing so you can whip the club through with a lot more ease!

I like the rudder system whereas the head is too far forward or back, and it feels out of balance. I will aim right, that is too far right, aim left, too far left and then in the middle, using the same principle. It works with short game, putting too,

Nicklaus’s teacher, Jack Grout would hold Jacks head steady by the hair. This may have been early on, but I have seen Jack comment on this.

He turned Jack’s Head to the side and then held the hair; this is why Jack’s First move was always to pre-turn the head and then turn the body to the head and then away from the head before letting the head come up into the finish!

Fair to say the head nust remain behind the ball until impact Shawn ?
