Man you saved my ass. You nailed it. I have a 2014 ford f150 supercab with a 5.0 and it just all of the sudden wouldn’t start. This truck has been very reliable and has never gave me grief. I already done the fuel pump fuse upgrade so I knew it wasn’t it and I tested the battery cleaning the terminals and still nothing so I found this video and sure as shit the plug came undone. Between you and Brian @ford makuloco channel have saved me know telling how much cash. Thank you so much!

Thanks man. You saved my a** this morning. No crank, freezing cold, 200 miles from home. Minimal tools, no meter. It took awhile going through videos to find you, but that kick panel thing did it for me. Thanks again and by the look of the comments, I’m not the first or the last to benefit. One of the most valuable videos on YT.

Thanks for the video, it pointed me in the right direction. Just had a 2011 F250, 6.4-liter that was totally dead. After full battery recharge (12.3-volts), the dash/instrument lights were on continuously and nothing worked. As you recommended I checked fuse #27 and the BCM kick panel connections, all were good. No lights. No crank. No Emergency Flashers. Jumped past PCM relay and nothing. Fusible links checked good. 12-volts at the fuse compartment buss. The fuses appeared good with a visual inspection. Finally I began checking continuity with a VOM. Fuse #18 in the BCM was open. Replaced it with the 10-amp spare and everything returned, no problems, 14.5-volts at idle.

Man this just solved my problem!! Somehow the connector came loose while driving on the highway. I had to get it towed back home and came across your video. Only issue now is my key is stuck in the ignition as I think the tow truck driver messed up the park position sensor in my shifter when trying to get it into neutral. I'm ordering one and will swap it out this week. Hopefully it fixes the problem.. Thanks so much for posting this video!

No screens, won’t crank, can’t put it into gear, but interior lights and headlights where on. I recently removed that cover and it was exposed. Technicians misdiagnosed it's a lot and they'll throw a lot of money to throw module if they will throw all kinds of diagnostic time into somebody's vehicles So what you do to make sure this doesn't happen again is obviously remind your Passenger not to push up against that area because people like to do that when they get in the vehicle to get situated the second part to that would be actually taking a zip tie and tie the latch back so it stays secured whenever you get to where you're going or you get home and you're comfortably situated.

I had just swapped my battery when the stars aligned just right, so I thought maybe my NSS was bad at first or some major fuse blown. Mind you I am in no way knowledgeable of mechanics so your video laid it out. What you said that alerted you were on to something was, won’t start and dash lights won’t work. My fobs wouldn’t work, windows and horn until I locked that in place. Soon as I did I hit the fob and it beeped so I knew it instantly was the issue.

Mess with it for a second.. wiggle some wires (may or may not do anything) and then I put the key in and everything works. What’s odd is, it is like there is 0 power, but the door locks work with my key fob.

Successfully get it to the side of the road before of course putting it in park and turning the key to off now it wont shift out of park and will not turn. Auto Boss and The Deer Hunter, I have a similar issue....2012 Ford F150 5.0 and it cranks but does not start, fuse #27 is good, passenger side kick panel connections are good, when I crank it over it registers RPM so I'm I guess that means the crank sensor is good, I check the spark coming out of the coil and it's firing, I replaced the plugs while in here, when it cranks I can smell fuel under the hood so assume fuel pump is working and think I can hear whine of fuel pump when turning key to power up. Hello, thank you for the video. This is a very long shot but I'm out of resources and I'm hoping (fingers crossed hoping) you might be able to help me out. I filled up gas, drove fine parked, and now it just won't start. Cranks for 2 seconds and stops, does not start. I got a P0230 code. Tried replacing the fuse as well as relay. I also tried the kick panel BCM connector re-connect. I am really stumped right now. Everywhere I look, they mention fuse #27 and relay #9. Your kick panel thing was fresh and it was an AHA! moment for me as I last drove with my wife but no go. Would you happen to be able to share with me what other causes there may be? FPDM has power on one of the pins. (#1, Violet/Green) when I jump pin #1,5 together and #4,8 together to bypass the FPDM, I do get almost like a hissing noise on the fuel pump. Tried tapping the rubber mallet on the tank, tried re-grounding the screw beside the FPDM, check for continuity... etc etc. Does a faulty fuel pump also only throw P0230? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Currently even dealerships/mechanics around here work select days and visiting them would require at least a tow. I also have B1310 and B10F1 but I don't think they are related.

Alright man. I have a 2016 f150 2.7 that started off stalling out randomly every few weeks with no codes or warning lights. It would fire right back up and be fine. Then it started stalling out more and more frequently and I’d get all kinds of random messages like steering assist fault, advance trac, hill assist, low coolant, low oil pressure, etc. I replace and re program the pcm/ecm, re program the keys. Truck runs perfect for a day. I park it for a few days and go back out to crank it and the steering assist fault is back, takes 20 minutes of keying on and off to get it to crank up then it bogs down and stalls after a few minutes. I’m about ready to drive it off a bridge.

@@FordBossMe found your video of that 2017 with the 37 fuse not being all the way in. This truck had a camera and radio wired up before I bought it so for shits and giggles I decided to go have a look and I’ll be damned if that 20 amp fuse wasn’t hanging halfway out of its port. So mine randomly wool not start. When drive gauges go all haywire or shut off completely. All the warning lights come on and off. Odometer goes to dashes. Ac clutch kicks out. Truck will run and drive all while this is happening. I tried looking at fuel pump fuse. No damage. Kickpanel connecter was right but reseated it twice. Wiggle tested harness at the connector no change while wigging it. 4wd sounds like it’s trying to engage when gauge cluster is out. I have videos of all this. I do have network codes as well of lost coms to instrument cluster and pcm. Can you make suggestions on what to look at next? Maybe we could email about this? Thank you

Hi, I have a very similar problem, 2011 f150 plat, When i turn the key nothing happens, but i have power to everything. I have to turn the key 10,20,30 times then it will start. Been into my local dealership 4 times, and once they got an error code that was some sensor couldn't tell what gear it was in. But I've tried going to neutral and it doesnt help. Just turning the key a bunch of times till it starts. The tech their mention a lead frame or starter, but I just don't want to toss money around. Ever seen that?

The truck was running extremely bad I got it home and also found the #27 fuse was burnt on one side of the fuse. Now the truck want start, I replaced the #27 fuse with a 30amp and I also replaced the fuel pump driver's module underneath the bed of the truck.. Any chance you would be able and guide me a little, on what may be the issue.

Did you pull any codes yet does it say something about cylinder head temperature sensor over heat as well? Did you try clearing all the codes and see if it will start because sometimes that gets it to start These trucks had what was called a lead frame problem in the transmission and that lead frame harness that goes around the valve body would cause so many electrical issues that it would cause all kinds of things to happen on these trucks where they wouldn't start they would throw coolant codes they would make all kinds of electrical problems happen and right now those lead frames that are in the transmission as far as I know about a month ago we're on back order waiting for thousands of units
