This model is the best carrier model I've ever seen. Also I'd say, the most shocking scratchbuilt model as well. The effort Gabe put into it in 19 years, it's just something that is close to the limits a single modeler can achieve. It's nearly impossible to believe that someone can keep up his inspiration on this level to complete a complex, and huge modeling project like this. If I just hear it, I don't believe it...but it's here.

I hail from Australia and love building kit models, but this ABSOLUTE WORK OF ART is a lesson in patience and commitment, thankyou and yes it deserves HD re-filming TOTALLY AWESOME GABE .....
I am awe struck by the detail and incredible workmanship, you should reshoot the video in HD to do this piece of art justice!
Resolution from 1987. Wow to the build, tho.
Is this in a Museum anywhere? If it isnt it SHOULD BE! I bet the Smithsonian Institute in NYC or ANY military museum would fall over themselves to have it on display! AWESOME BARELY qualifies to describe this!

Wow! This is the type of massive undertaking which makes you want to give up the hobby!!! 😄👍🇺🇸
Wow, that is just beyond words. Such fine work, and 19 years of your life. Congratulations on doing what VERY few modelers have ever attempted much less completed!!!! I am in awe.
Great job on the representation of the ship that carried me for eight months in 2001. I was a young AT working in the hanger bay in the IM-3 division (Intermediate Maintenance - Third Division). My work space was a trailer slung from the rafters in hanger bay 1. There I worked on NAV/COM/WEP subsystems troubleshoot, and repair.
This is well worth a revisit in high definition. The focus does not do justice to this amazing model.
Simply amazing! Hats off to the modeller.
They look like they can take off the deck any moment
Awesome! .. beyond belief!..The Big E has visited NZ.. thanks🇳🇿..

Would you like to do another video with a HD camera? I think this work of art deserves it. Amazing job!!! Thank you very much man!
Nice Carrier. Can U put it in a lake or pool and take some water shots of your ship?
Where can I buy this model, lol
now that is the BIG E......not the little scale one...
Was this built in Jacksonville, Florida ? When I lived there in 2000, I was told about a 1/72 scale carrier build happening in the area, I didn't believe the it.
how much did it costs??? :OO Omg!!! Awesome Enterprise!! I want this!!!
What would the 1/72 scale weight of this ship be? The speed and size of the ship can be scaled by dividing by 72, but the scale weight would be something other than 98,000 tons divided by 72. I am very curious about this.

If an object is scaled up or down, the volume doesn't change linearly but according to the cube of the ratio. Look up the square-cube law en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Square-cube_law In this case, the cube of 72 = 373,248. Therefore the scale model should weigh 9.8e7/(72^3) = 262.56 kg.
huge
Work of God.
Nice job awesome.
This looks awsome, although you should realy make a longer and better video of it. It’s deserves to be admired
wow

Superior model 😍❤️🇺🇸
IT IS A COFFIN
Awesome job! It would be fun to shoot bottle rockets and roman candles at it. No disrespect to CV-65 or USN.
Omg this is the carrier that is displayed at the National Naval Aviation museum. Please tell me it is.

Did you have time to eat, sleep and go to the batheroom? Impressive.
Hello Where did you get the folded wing planes or did you adapt the standard ones please Andy C
Seem with my skills I can do in no time. Just stick , stick, glue, stick and glue and I see I missed glue here. What that is the part? I missed, is it plane wing. Ou man need start over.
Maybe he built it fuzzy.
pazzesco
what gives, I only see one pixel on my screen.
So, is this a Monogram, or one of those, Japan companies? lol!
But cool model
这般1:72美国核动力航母企业号和真航母相差无几! This 1:72 US nuclear-powered aircraft carrier company is almost the same as the real aircraft carrier!
Like Trump would say! That's huge!
This Guy is not married
