Love the 29B. I’ve always felt it was a great sprinkler for the size. Great video!

Nice 70B. I have a 70B,70CW,70EW, and #70. My #70 has that break up pin like yours. I've seen some pivots have the 70CWs down the pipe before. High pressure machines, all of them double tapped because of the high pressure.

The arm on that AF impact reminds me of a Melnor impact I have. She's a slow mover! Don't think I've heard of AF before.

I do believe you may be correct about it being a Melnor type brand. I have seen something similar to this one before many years ago

@Old school sprinklers there is a melnor spoon drive impact video on my channel. I have 2. One I'd a very slow mover. With high pressure it barely moves but will still reverse.

the AF 1/2" impact looks like a Melnor. I have a couple that look identical. They too are slow turners.

Is that 29 a low angle ? Maybe for ag irrigation ? Seems to run well on your setup!

To me the 29B does not appear to be a low angle

The AF model appears to be a cheap built model. I would take it apart and clean the journal tube and the sleeve. The washers on the older designs have a tendency to wear out. I wonder about this one. I think the AF would work better once it is cleaned. The 70B is not fast either, but it appears to be working pretty optimally as designed. The 29B seems a little slow for this model, but works well otherwise.

The pivot point of these rescued sprinklers are leaking. Is there a way to repair that problem with parts available? I've got 70EW, 70C-W, 65D & two 65PJ. I'd like to get the specs on these 40's or 50's sprinkler heads also. Any ideas?

Thank you for your comments. A lot of the sprinklers that are leaking are from the pipe threads. I do not use any kind of thread sealants on them when recording them. Just because that I have so many. Yes, some of them are leaking from the bearing seals too just from being old and dirty from storage. I am sure that you could find some new seals out there on the internet that would work. But there are so many sizes, shapes etc. that it would be an overwhelming project to rebuild every one of them as for I do not have that kind of time. As far finding any specs on the 40’s or 50’s. You may get lucky to find something on the internet. I do have a nice library of catalogs from a lot of various old sprinkler manufacturers but not to many older Rainbird catalogs. If I come across something, I could post them. Again, thank you for your comments.
