    im a 16 year old detailer and someone told me how much to shampoo and wash and wax a full size truck i told her it starts at $150. i dont understand why they think just because im 16 i cant charge what i charge i know what my work is worth looking at the truck i charged $300 and when she saw the results she was blown away and gave me a $40 tip. message here was dont let peoples comments stop you from what you charge.

    In California, sales taxes only apply to goods, not services (with some minor exceptions like installation of a machine that you purchased from the same company). To be clear, you cannot charge sales tax in California for mobile detailing. I'd be very wary of doing this for future customers because you don't want to get in trouble with the Franchise Tax Board. Keep up the good work!

    @@HuntersMobileDetailing Looks like you're going to have to re-evaluate your prices yet again. Maybe time to discuss the realities of running your own business and dealing with all those unexpected local, state, and federal expenses... ahem, I mean taxes.

  • @BuyMEaDriNk43

    @BuyMEaDriNk43

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@HuntersMobileDetailing The reason for charging sales tax is to hold it and pay the tax amount to the state. Everyone else charges taxes because they are required to pay the tax to the state every month or quarter. If your business is a non-taxable business, in terms of sales tax, then you don't charge taxes. Sales taxes aren't supposed to go into your pocket, it's supposed to go to the state. Nail shops over here in NYC charge tax because they are required to collect 4.5% and file sales tax to pay it back to the state. For example, if your services is 100, you charge 108 (including sales tax), you then file sales tax and pay the $8 to the state. I hope that helps clear stuff up with your business and avoid issues with the tax boards because those are PITA to deal with. I've seen these penalties, they have potential to wipe a whole business if it's not managed properly.

Have a classroom type of training once in a while so u can get the basic structure down & what everyone’s responsibilities are before you get out on the job. Take care hunter, you’re a boss!

    What’s going on HM Detailing? I don’t think that your Detailing Prices are too high. I also mix some of my products together. There is one thing that I noticed about your new help. After you pay him. Make sure that he buys himself a belt. To GOD Be The Glory. And may He continue to Bless you,your brother and. Your new help in Prospering your business.

    In Cali that price makes sense. Heck now In Phoenox that's making sense because of the price increases on everything.

    People be hating on the prices dont realize hes located in Cali... stuffs not cheap there. Cali has like a 50 percent more higher cost of living than where im from in Ohio. I would have charged $200-225 for that red truck here.

    Charge more when they have mold other stains that are hard to get out and also get an antibacterial solution to get rid spores and new molds from coming back.

    Just saw the video and I’m so happy that you work real hard and deserve every dollar you make. Your professional and have good representation of your company. I I know it’s a desirable thing for some folks to have their pants half way down their backside but just from an outsider looking at your videos or checking out your work while on the job site, it really doesn’t look good. It’s not too much of an effort to wear the pants around your waist. Not only do you have to work good you have to look good and be professional too. Just my opinion. Take care
