Had similar problem... symptoms began with 08 CRV would crank slow like with a weak battery, a few times it would crank like the battery was dead. So, we knew the battery in car was over a few years old - we replaced it. Coincidentally, that seemed to fix the problem... and, the slow or no crank came back! OK, assuming all wiring is good it's either poor contacts in the ignition switch or the starter motor is going bad (which is a big job). We went next to the ignition switch (not the ignition assembly). Replaced switch, very easy, basically with a Phillips screwdriver. (This is a good thing to replace anyways because over time the contacts inside switch get burned and you will get voltage drop). Coincidentally, changing the switch fixed the problem... No! - A few tries later the slow or no cranking came back... we were now left with the starter motor. The only way to replace the starter motor is to remove the intake manifold. Understand this won't be a fast job... just take your time and take one thing at a time: disconnect battery, remove air intake, then throttle body and connected hoses... loosen the radiator, you need as much room as possible when you start to remove the intake manifold. Note: leave the portion with the fuel injection untouched. NOTE: also, there is a two-bolt bracket (12 or 13 mm) attached to the manifold underneath before you start pulling on it. You will need to do a lot of wiggling to slip out the manifold, you will have very little room... just take your time, don't get frustrated. (You may need to bend up a welded bracket up on top by the radiator. Just bend it back when you're done.) So... after replacing the starter motor, the car starts and cranks like new, fast. 1. New battery (500 CC, group 51) from Home Depot. $160. (We needed, anyways). 2. Ignition switch, from Napa Auto Parts. $70. (Good to replace, anyways). 3. Starter motor, new, from Napa Auto Parts. $200.

So how do you fix the problem .? Is the starter relay.the main relay .I mean what will fix the problem for good ? instead of keep jumping it every time the car won't start have you figure it out yet ?..because in the old Hondas it was usually the main relay when the climate was hot. the main relay would not work so you will open the windows let the interior temperature cool down. And it would start that was a temporary fix .until you replace the main starter relay
