GREAT VIDEO!! Quick easy meat and potatoes, No BS long-winded explanation.

My 2001 SAAB cabriolet started playing up three years ago. Intermittent no start. Happened about once a month. Wife not pleased. Usually cleared after 20 mins. but not always. First fix was to put two wires through to the starter relay and fire up with a standard 9V battery. 100% Eventually tracked the fault down to a corroded terminal on the wiring loom connection to the bottom of the ignition switch. I had the whole thing apart and saw it. However one can just take off the plastic behind the key and squirt WD 40 into the little hole in the back of the aluminium casing which the key hole is mounted on. Strange that such a useful hole was put there........Plan to keep car until I am 100 (and it's 50 )

Been trying to prepare mine. Already repaired it. These were the main issues. The starter, starter relay, the fuel pump being bad, Clogged fuel line, Bad battery, bad alternator, car being left on drive. Bad IBS(intelligent battery sensor). After fixing all that it finally turned on. Cleared the check engine light to by cleaning my intake and exhaust solenoids.

This video helped me, my car is not crack, then I turned gear natural, then I try star car, after that my car is start on

was having symptoms similar to the neutral safety switch but did not realize this workaround. went back down to try to start my Lexus GS460 again in neutral, but she started right up in Park without issue... Originally the issue was a completely dead battery, replaced the battery and she still would not start as above, assuming it might be fuses ordered some fuses online and did other stuff, tried again after about 4 hours(after watching this video) and it started without issue... Potentially the neutral switch got locked when the old battery was in/when i tried to jump start it, just took a while for the car to reset post having a good battery I guess.

Hello I own a dune buggy before this issue I brought a new starter and a relay the buggy worked for about a month and now won’t crank the battery has charge fuses are okay too

Last month my car started but the moment I put my foot on the gas pedal it would turn off and the battery light turned on. Not because of a bad alternator but because the car was losing power and when I started back up it started up just fine. No issues but the moment I'll put my foot in gas where the reversing or driving it'll shut off. It turned out that it was a sensor. MAP sensor. I also recently replaced the Fuel pump and fuel filter as well as a crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor. I also replaced the air filter and spark plugs. Luckily I have all of that fixed and replaced on my car. Runs good now and it no longer turns off while driving in it.

Ignition off Put foot on brake Pop it in neutral Then start Ignition It starts everytime. If he does it it doesn't. Now I'm pissed because I just replaced battery, spark plug harness that snapped, rethreaded the spark plug well because #4 popped out. Now I gotta replace egr and recheck o2 sensors up/down stream because it's too lean system bank 1 guzzling up too much fuel where I have to have a back up of gas with me or I won't make it home. Now this fool got my battery fucked up. 😒 and I'm on a bike to get around until I can get under the hood without disturbance and fix 2000 Ford expedition of 266k miles. I don't want to sell it for parts I don't have the money for another car rnn. Geesh 😢😢

Hey friend. Not sure you’ll see this but my 2012 Ram 1600 has been having starting issues for a while now. I’ve replaced starter, battery, tried to start this morning and would not start? Going to check fuses and try to start in neutral when I get out of work today? It buzzed this morning and showed a “”no fuse” error? Never seen that before?

After replacing the fuel pump in my Jeep grand cherokee laredo 3.7 WK- Im now having a problem with a vapor lock and my new pump is making a ringing/humming noise off and on-is there a way to fix it with a inline check valve or inline filter of some sort. I have to release pressure on the fuel rail to re-crank it after it runs for more than 20 minutes/ which is a possible fire risk.

Hoping the neutral start trick works. Turned my truck off last night and then went to move it 5 minutes later and nothing when I turned the key. Battery is good, haven't checked fuses or replaced the starter and I'm hoping I don't have too lol

I have a 05 RX330 that won't crank or start, very frustrating everyone keeps saying it's the starter but you name so many more options. I need my car fixed ASAP for Dr appt and my son plays football also I'm his personal Uber driver and crippled w/o a car. I feel like someone should be able to come and at least check some fuses. This was very helpful. Mine was a stupid problem, as soon as you said immobilizer it clicked. I didn't have mine with me. I like the short form check list of things to check. Not some 20 min long video of a solution that doest even work for your problem.

So I have a question... Earlier this year (after my previous car was totaled), I bought 2011 Honda Fit. I would start just fine most of the time, but then this one day it just wouldn't crank at all. I had to towed to the mechanic shop that I use. They said it was just a loose connection (or something akin to that, I'm not the most car savvy person around), fixed it and it worked fine ever since.... until today (it was about 6 months between the last issue and the one today). I went to a store this morning, and when I came back out and got in the car, it wouldn't start. I tried a few times, and it was always this no crank condition. I called for roadside assistance for a tow. But as I was waiting, I tried again to start the car, and that time it started just fine. I canceled the roadside assistance, and I dropped the car off at the mechanic shop that I use (they won't be able to look at it until Monday). Any idea what the issue might be? It's weird that it just wouldn't crank and then a little while later (and after I tried a few times), it suddenly started again. The battery in the car is new. I had that changed out shortly after I got it. So that shouldn't be the issue.

I'm having the same issue, ford mustang 2012. Took it to ford to replace starter relay and didn't fix my issue -$400 down the drain. I don't know who to actually take it to so they can get to the root of the issue. Bought it from a used dealer as is 2 months ago. Frustrating

jfc... I got my car towed because it wouldn't start for me. I think the gear was nudged slightly into reverse the whole time. It's starting up with no problem now. Thank you for this video, I feel a little silly but I'm also glad I didn't bring it to a mechanic or start replacing parts.

I have a issue starting my Porsche panamera it's been sitting for 5 to 6 months during the winter and when I try to turn it on I get a clicking sound My battery volts is 11.03 I tried to boost it it didn't work I was told it was a starter issue but I'm wondering should I get a new battery first or can I test the relay and everything with this low battery since I can't turn the car on.

New starter new battery, no flickering, relay is good, will try to start if jumper used on relay, starts 97% of the time. It seems if I shift into park too fast without the steering wheel aligned then it won't start. No security light either.

Won’t turn over, won’t crack, no power whatsoever have looked everywhere, battery is good as long as it doesn’t stay plugged in to long, alternator is good, starter is good, but the battery wont stay charged overnight even when the car is off and no interior lights are on. Please any ideas would be amazing.

Ended up being the fuse for the computer why my car wouldn't crank over. Acted like I did not have the clutch pushed in even tho I did. Glad it was a simple fix 🥰

i just did about 30 things to this car alternator water pump battery ballast resistor started the car last night it ran great ! now i have all my lights turn the key and its dead ! tested neutral safety switch nothing! starter is testing fine starter switch everything test good and no power is going to starter when i turn the key !!

Check for a little 2 amp fuse under the hood it’s called swc bklt, it fixed my issue, maybe it can fix yours

I have 2008 Audi a3 wasn’t starting or turning over because of starter just put new one in it turns over but won’t start HELP

car starts but only when i push in the shifter button.. when i push it in again the car turns off. so the car starts but the shifter acts like a push start button and its a auto og shifter on a 2018 focus also a normal key to start.

A no crank no start is the exact problem im dealing with right now and it is VERY frustrating. Sometimes my car will start and I can turn it on and off when I go to different places but then randomly when im out somewhere and I try to start the car it just doesnt start. After maybe 10-20 tries then it will start? Its scary not knowing if the car will start every time. Ive had it checked and apparently the wiring is okay. Can a bad fuse cause intermittent starting?😔

@@portallama Well the entire dashboard lights up but the car just doesnt start sometimes. Then after maybe 10-15 minutes and multiple tries it just starts? I already replaced the alternator and battery and apparently the wiring is okay. Ive noticed that if I warm the car up a little longer it doesnt happen as much but I dont know how that would help.

Every morning my car wont start. I have tested the battery in the morning and is at 12.22vs and 14.60 when running . If I put a jump pack the car will start. If I turn the car off straight away and try to start it with out the jump pack it will start no issues. So the battery’s not the issue. When I signal left the battery light flashing in time with the signal. The fuel light is on all the time and when I turn tc of the fuel light turns off and the temp light comes on. Have been to 2 different highly rated garages and they can’t find the issue. Have spend a few hundred with them trying to solve and no luck.

My car has no crank but all lights will work, you can hear the click on the main relay and humming sound for the fuel pump. After you jumpstart it, turns on like nothing ever happened. Then it turns on, on it’s own the rest of the day but after you let it sit for a while like a day or so, still has power but no crank again, then it works with a jumpstart. Could it be the battery? Last time this happened was last month then worked everyday like a charm until recently and this time it’s everyday.

I would start by reading the codes that are related to the engine light. You’ll need an obd2 scanner if your vehicle is made after 1996.

I don’t know what my issue is on my camper Van fitted new battery everytime i start the van i get a click only when trying to jump start it it will start.. could it be the starter soloniod? or relay perhaps?

It seems like there might be a problem with the starter motor or its connections. When you only hear a click, it often indicates that the starter solenoid is engaging but the starter motor itself isn't turning over. This can happen due to a faulty starter motor or poor connections between the battery and the starter motor.

Another reason could be the oxygen sensor(s).

It is frustrating. No engine light code. Battery is good. Fuses and relays are good. Car won’t start regardless of the gear. Replaced the starter and it still won’t start.
