Oh how I miss my fully metal Tonka truck as a kid.. 😂 I actually really enjoy the challenge of taking a base truck and little by little figuring out how to upgrade it. Anybody can just buy one with everything, but where's the fun in that... 😁

Do you have the part number for the cluster? I would like to swap mine in my 08 sierra 4.8 and Im having trouble finding the correct one on ebay. I have the 4 speed transmission in mine so I think we have similar setups. (Edit: I just realized that I should go back and look at the video where you showed the part number. Awesome video man thanks for doing this.)

Sounds like you need the exact cluster I have. I'm pretty sure I show the part number in the beginning of the video. I didn't put it in the description because there are many different configurations and many will assume they are all the same.

I did this on my 08 gmc and now the stabilitrak off light is on, I took the traction control button from the other vehicle and installed it on my truck, did not fix the problem. Any idea how to fix?

May have something to do how the cluster you got was optioned compared to your original. In the video I explain how you need to match your transmission with whatever new cluster you get. So since mine was a 4 speed in order for everything to work properly I had to get a cluster that came out of a 4 speed. If you did that then honestly I'm not sure. Have you tried checking with a scanner to see if you have any codes.

As long as the transmission is the same it should work.

I’m curious to know if a clusters without the 4 speed transmission options if i hooked one up to my truck which is a 4 speed with the 3 2 1 mode pop up at the bottom one it’s plugged in or do I need to find a 4 speed one. If anyone knows anything please lmk

It will not. You need to find a cluster that matches the transmission you have. You need a cluster like the one I have in the video.

@@mikeh1348 I guess it all depends. If you have a big lag from press of the pedal to truck responding then yes. FYI though since bagging my truck I lowered the response because it was to much power causing me to bottom out.

@danielk0106 it's actually not that bad, but trust me, I get it. Getting older sucks, especially on the joints. Sausage fingers don't help either 😅
I just switched a 4 gauge to a 6 gauge. It works well but the dimmer does not work. Do you have any idea why? Thank you
