Hey so im about to try this with my crew cab wt but for now im only doing the front 2 just to get started so basically can follow your video for a guide... if I have both regulators and door harness will it only work with the switch just for 2 windows? I tried to test it out and the switch didn't do anything. The switch I have now is a ltz one from a cew cab im looking for some help if you can would be well appreciated man!

@@AlexM17. Unfortunately the switch for a crew cab is completely different then the one I used. The switch I used is specifically for a single cab that will only control 2 windows. In your case you will need to figure out how the crew cab switch works.

@T_B_C_L if you're going to go inexpensive I would atleast get Polk R700's or Kef 950's. They image better and sound deeper. People who don't know what they are doing normally get klipsch. Kefs are easy to drive but fan sound better. Klipsch are bright fatigueing speakers.

@@maxcaz17 I believe there is a setting that will do that but honestly that would kinda suck, because the radio turns on super fast normally. If it had to reboot everytime, it kinda defeats the purpose of the quick boot.

@@mikehaight7575 honestly I haven't discovered anything negative at all. It has taken multiple updates and all went fine. The dsp ui has been updated and working even better than before. No battery drain and data stiil works perfect. All on all I can still highly recommend.

@@na2305 yes I did. Truck drove fine but I wanted to be sure. Stupid me, I took it to the dealer and they actually messed up the alignment. I took it back a second time, then they blamed it on the rack 🤦♂️. I took it to the alignment shop I've been going to for 20 years and he aligned it no problem. Unfortunately I'm not even sure if it needed it because of the dealership nonsense.

@@Texasfishingaddict funny you asked that because I literally just installed one 2 days ago. Generator would run but definitely did not like it when the A/C would come on. Before the soft start I was pulling over 70amps on start now it's like 26amps. I haven't tested the generator yet but my guess is, it will be much happier. I need to change the oil on the pulsar but after, I will probably do an update video on the generator.

Look at the surround on the woofer cone. The Crunch surround is much fatter. That’s one indication that it is capable of playing lows better. It provides a lot of cone movement which really helps with bass. The others you mentioned, Pioneer, Kenwood, JVC, they all have thin cloth surrounds. That doesn’t provide enough cone travel for low bass. I’m not even sure if there isn’t also some air loss through the cloth. Cloth surrounds on a speaker cone is an automatic deal breaker when I’m looking for speakers. I’d like to hear that Crunch speaker up against a Pioneer TS-A series 6-1/2. That is more of an equal matchup. Pioneer’s TS-F and TS-G series are very low grade. F for fail, G for garbage. The A series is where they start to get good.

Those Crunch speakers (widely considered a flea market brand here) ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED those JVC’s (a mainstream brand name). If the tweeters were better on those I’d be sold on them. They could put better tweets on them and double the price and it would still be worth it.

Honestly this could go either way. Depends on what you’re looking for. The American Bass definitely has the overall sound quality between the two. But the Crunch was not bad and the bass was a lot more robust. I think with speakers of this size, it’s easier to add highs than bass, so between the two I’d take the Crunch just because it seems to naturally have better bass and I could always tweak the EQ to heighten the highs.

You did a mistake when you installed the blue amplifier on/off wire. It should be connected to your radio harness, on your amplifier wire so this way it will turn the amp on when you turn the radio on and off when you turn the radio off. You cannot have the amp wire installed straight to the battery because it will leave your amplifier on all the time and it will drain your battery and possibly cause other issues from being overheated staying always on

@Miasaint10 I'm not sure what phone you are using but if you have an android clear the data on the app then try to reconnect. If you have an iPhone you may have to delete the app and reinstall, then reconnect.

Those Crunch speakers (widely considered a flea market brand here) ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED those JVC’s (a mainstream brand name). If the tweeters were better on those I’d be sold on them. They could put better tweets on them and double the price and it would still be worth it.
@@duanebledsoe7566 they are definitely a swapmeet brand but surprisingly sound pretty good.
Honestly this could go either way. Depends on what you’re looking for. The American Bass definitely has the overall sound quality between the two. But the Crunch was not bad and the bass was a lot more robust. I think with speakers of this size, it’s easier to add highs than bass, so between the two I’d take the Crunch just because it seems to naturally have better bass and I could always tweak the EQ to heighten the highs.
@@duanebledsoe7566 both are good speakers but for the money, you can get 2 sets of crunch for the price of one set of AB.

You did a mistake when you installed the blue amplifier on/off wire. It should be connected to your radio harness, on your amplifier wire so this way it will turn the amp on when you turn the radio on and off when you turn the radio off. You cannot have the amp wire installed straight to the battery because it will leave your amplifier on all the time and it will drain your battery and possibly cause other issues from being overheated staying always on

@@T_B_C_L Yes, I've pressed it a few times. Then I tried holding it down a few seconds, still nothing. I unplugged it from the port altogether. The application refuses to connect to it anymore. Is there a way to just do a factory reset?
@Miasaint10 I'm not sure what phone you are using but if you have an android clear the data on the app then try to reconnect. If you have an iPhone you may have to delete the app and reinstall, then reconnect.

@@muramasa24 there is a Hifonics version of these, and there used to be a version from another brand called Autotek as well. All three brands are part of Maxxsonics.
I used to think this mattered a lot, but i always add good tweeters and a sub, so the difference seems nominal and it just becomes filler by my feet. Ive got soundstream 6.5 components
