What a pleasure it is to listen to a proper commentary, no extraneous BS and no ex-Liverpool players making stupid and biased comments and continually referring to how the game was better when they played in the age of dinosaurs....

Great entertainment from two top teams with some great players played on a terrible pitch. This was how football was every week during the 60's and 70's. Great memories.

I was there supporting United, looking at it now no wonder there was so much misplaced passing and sloppy play then, it's only Dec and the pitch is already bog like. However, George Best was such a skilful player he would have excelled in any era.

What a fantastic pitch - more of a quagmire!! Strange commentary from Brian Moore, referring to the great George Best he said "love him or hate him" I was unaware at the time that anybody could hate George Best. Very sporting of the Spurs players to act as peacemakers between the two United players, cannot imagine it happening today.

This deserved a draw that they provided such a good game. Rimmer bounced the ball & plop it stayed.
@MrJeepsters8 жыл бұрын
Le but de Best est un modèle du genre. Pourquoi Rimmer n'est pas resté à United, il était bien meilleur que Stepney (il avait joué 2 très bon match contre le milan ac). La ressemblance entre Pat Jennings et Michael Caine est incroyable.

Tavy@ what a goal by best on a mud swamp of a pitch. Best even knew as he took it on the chest that the ball wasnt going to bounce! What a player. Greatest ever. Best put at least 50 thousand on the gate home and away Every week. I have never seen a player fill a stadium like george best did. The turnstiles were closed by 1pm to 2pm
