    Very informative! Leg cramps run in my family. My podiatrist recommended 800 mg magnesium daily which worked very well. When my cardiologist told me to stop taking it I halved the dosage to 400 mg daily the halved it again to 400 mg every other day. The cramps began to return. When I informed my cardiologist of this he relented and told me that I could resume the supplement. I now use 400 mg per day and have been free from night time leg cramps ever since.

    She has some bad info. If you get a cramp while laying down in the bed you have no time to fool around while horizontal and the cramp is intensifying. You have to get out of the bed immediately, no matter how much it hurts and stand on the leg and then walk on it. If the cramp is severe and pain persists, a hot shower is helpful. I learned this from prolonged experience with statin meds, which I no longer take. Much better to control cholesterol by diet than by meds.

    Your videos are like you have me as your patient. Mom always told me during leg muscle cramps, "Toes to the Nose." Your examples at the end prove it works.

    That position works only for calf cramps, though, not thigh or groin.

    I sometimes have leg cramps severe and then I remember: there is a pressure point at the point above the lip and below the nose. I squeeze there and the cramp goes away. Sometimes I forget to do that. I am usually lying down, trying to sleep, when it happens.

    Tak mało trzeba. Trochę serca i mówić do człowieka i być z nim i tu w tym wirtualnym świecie klikam i mam lekarza Doktora który chce mi pomóc bo ja nie mam wiedzy i pytam dlaczego boli a lekarz nic nie mówi tylko miesiącami trzeba czekać na badania aby coś doradzić i podpowiedzieć jak pomóc sobie.     Thank you Dr. Andrea for making this video. From time to time I got muscle cramps. I soak my feet in a bucket with hot water and pour hot water in my leg after few minutes the cramps or tightening of my muscles were relieved. I will try the exercise that you demonstrated if I get cramps again but I hope will never happen again.

I have MS, heart and low blood cells challenges...I knew and have experienced most of what you are saying when these cramps wake me from sleep and they start traveling from low back to thigh, legs and feet on occasion. They hurt like hell. Those supplements do help...also a hot towel placed on area helps also..you never know when they will hit...

    Last month I got severe cramps on the INNER AND OUTER SIDES of BOTH LEGS at the same time. This is unusual. The pain was excruciating. I had not seen this video then. Now I will be better prepared. Thank you.

    I had cramps inside my legs that couldn’t be stretched. Most excruciating thing I’ve ever experienced. Thank God they did not last forever
