Thank you so so so much, I just bought a 03 because it was a good deal the owner before me already converted it to power windows but I wanted to do the lock and never knew how. This helps quite a bit and will defiantly be looking at this in the future!

@Sip Vids I used a fuse tap and hooked it up to the ignition coil fuse. That way my windows were only powered with the key in the ignition.

@Sip Vids The ignition coil on my civic was 15A, and it was fine for two years. It was just powerful enough to handle the drive window, the passenger side window got stuck sometimes, I had to reach over and physically pull the window up while pressing the button. It's a good kit for $100. I had to scrap the car two months ago, too told and too many problems. I miss it so much still..

How have these been holding up? Debating grabbing a set or getting a new truck but I'm worried about how long they'll last.

Have a 2004 manual doors and bought 2 auto power windows w/locks doors complete. Will the wiring harness just plug and play?

What if I wanted to add courtesy lights? What wire would I tap into for that? My work truck has no lights or dome light

I have the door poppers cuz i got an alarm installed. Do you think theres a way to wire the original unlock buttons on the inside with the poppers? Gets annoying opening passenger door lock from the inside. Mine automatically lock when the truck turns on

So we’re you able to to have both switches on the driver side and then a switch on the passenger side aswell?

Did you trim anything for the locks? I installed the same actuators in the same exact spot but they are rubbing against part of the door panel I believe, I can barely move them by hand.

Nice . I went to the junk yard and found a 2006 Silverado identical to mind . But it had power windows . I removed all the power windows the electrical harness . and I got home to install it and the power harness configuration was different on my vehicle can you leave me a link to where you got your universal kit from thanks

Hello,I put the same kit on my truck but only go Down the window but wend is goin Down it only raises it halfway and it stays stuck.

So say I want to change my truck into power locks but i already have an a alarm system how do I get them to run as one?

This kit doesn’t need a relay for each motor in the power window units?

Can I connect my viper alarm with the power locks?

Does the duze with the power windos keep on burning with u??

My window motors have pink & yellow wires and the switch harness has blue & green (like yours). Can't figure out which goes where. Also the switch wires can connect to the switches in either direction. I'm not liking my kit.

What if my truck came with manual windows and I bought oem doors how do I wire them up do I use the same wiring that comes with the kit

Can I use any key fob? I have a aftermarket 2013+ style key fob for these model trucks lying around and I just picked up a 2006 2500hd and I want to convert it but I’m wondering if I would have to use the provided fob

How has the power windows held up?

Hey im very new, could you tell we what each wire goes to color by color?

Installed it all today, everything works great except my key fob is backwards. Any advice?? Tried flip flopping green and blue wires and it didn't matter.

Got make sure we're you mounted the sliders that when hit the key fob unlock its actually unlock on door too or it will be pushing in wrong direction if you know what I mean.

I have a 2001GMC Serra single cab. Where did you order your kit?

Can you change the key fob after installing this or do you have to use the one it comes with?

the driver side has two switches for left and right the passenger side only has the one for the right side.

Would this be the same for an 2002?

Do you think it would work on a chevy car? because i have a 99 chevy prizm with manual locks and manual windows and i would want to make sure it would fit before buying. thanks!

This is a universal kit that will work with and roll up windows

@@dontworry8669 if you install them in a bind they will not last long plus need lube up your tracks and window mechanism so can move freely.

If I want to switch to electric windows do i have to buy the locks and controllers too ?

Just buy two doors from a junk yard that have the power windows and door locks and move the lock from you're truck. so much easier than modifying your doors with a kit.

I have a 2005 Silverado regular cab base model. I think I would just need to make mine look just like yours. I’m trying to upgrade my truck to the LT level. Power windows are a must have for my project. I just can’t afford all the OEM parts. Videos like this are my inspiration for sure. You show me what to do and how to do it. That is, without spending a boatload of money on the OEM parts or having to reprogram the truck’s computer. Thank you. Edit: This just occurred to me, could I just buy the OEM door handles, with OEM switches and use those switches with this kit?

@@anthonyduarte6001 I was just asking a question myself. It maybe 2 or3 years before I can save up the money I need for this pickup project. I was asking if I could just use the OEM switches so it would look more stock. It’s on hold right now for sure.

Yes you can use OEM door cards with the OEM switches, you just need to poke to see which ones are the lights and the up and down. (Two connectors for the up and down, two connectors for lights, when you turn on the headlights)

​@@phillipblades6784 Yeah you should be able to. Every power need requires positive and negative. You could even cut off the OEM switch and replace it with another to make the connections fit better. Manufacturers all like using their own switches to make it more difficult to modify but it's all the same positive and negative.

You can use some oem 99-02 window motors instead of that cheap window motors that attach to the roll up mechanism. And just wire them the same way..

@@lacopina8689 you can use 99-02 window motors and switches the same way he wired the aftermarket ones. As far as the 03-06 switches they wont work because they run off the BCM

for a power window....just go the yunke yard and buy a motor window from any suburban and find the right wire in amazon...

@@brandongrover1168 yea I positioned it about were it was good and took small bit and started the holes definitely use a hand screw driver on the cheap plastic when thread the screws

You use a meter check all the lower empty slots

Can you connect the power locks to another key fob? I just ordered a Compustar 2WG15R-SS Pro remote among with the other things for remote start and security system. I didn't realize that I needed to install power locks, ik how dumb can I be? I want to just get the power locks to complete the setup, but have yet to find any that say they can connect to another remote. If anyone knows, please help me out.

Well the brain for your new key fob should have power wires for power locks so just splice that into the brain from the power lock kits and they both should work. Or use it as a stand alone brain.

That location blew my SEO IGN 10 amp fuse under the hood the next day and the window kit runs an inline 30amp fuse. Did you have to same issue ?

I bought the same remote set up as you but one of mine fobs broke so I was looking to buy the same kit but can’t find it. The link in your description isn’t the same fob that me and you have. Do you know where I could get it?
