Thanks Tim.
I have this kit in my stash, but haven't built it. I too love the 1955 through 1957, hate the 1958 through 1960, then love the 1961 through 1966 Birds. Then they botched it again. I have mixed views on the later "Retrobird". 😊

Yes...Ford really made some bad decision on this beautiful car, at least in my opinion and apparently yours. 😊
Hi, I have that kit, and can’t wait to see what you do with it.

Did you build it? If so, is it on your KZread channel?

Haven’t built it yet. I don’t have a channel.
I would suggest just painting the rim of the steering wheel (and the column supports where necessary) rather than stripping all the chrome off. The 1:1 steering wheel and column has a lot of chrome. If your interest is the convertible, AMT's '57 T-Bird kit has the soft-top for top-up and a boot for top-down display.

Thanks. I'll consider that; however, acrylic water based paint does not adhere well to a chromed surface, so I have to give that some thought. Thanks for the tip on the rag top. I didn't know the '57 kit from AMT offered the rag top.
