A significant winter storm has caused major impacts across the Grand Rapids area tonight. Heavy snow quickly accumulated and led to numerous vehicle accidents. Plows are working hard to try and keep up with the heavy snow rates tonight. People can be seen out in the town and some shoveling snow. i-96 is completely snow packed and travel is very dangerous. Additional snow is likely well into the weekend across the area.

It's 8:am Saturday morning and I live in Rockford. Yeah we got a lot of snow but nothing like they said it was going to be! It's Michigan people and winter, not the end of the world...
In weather like this we all need Our Heavenly Father's and Jesus's Protection May everyone stay safe We have relatives in Illinois and Michigan Hope they can all stay Home and be safe!❤❤❤
