-2008 Saturn Aura XE V6 (3.5L V6, 219 HP 4-speed auto): I've had this car almost 10 years and it still impresses me how it drives. Pretty sporty around town, efficient, still gets compliments, and it feels at least a second quicker than it performed in this video oftentimes. This was the final model year you could get the 3.5L V6 in the Aura.
-2018 Jeep Compass Latitude 4x4 (2.4L I4, 180 HP ZF 9-speed auto): Lease vehicle - VERY slow. Too slow, actually. Transmission shifts are smooth but lazy, too spread out. Definitely could use the 2.0T from the Jeep Cherokee. 9AT from ZF is the biggest downfall of this car. Nice riding little SUV otherwise, and surprisingly efficient (getting 27.5 MPG).
-2004 Oldsmobile Bravada AWD (4.2L I6, 275 HP 4-speed auto): First: Yes, I'm aware of the engine light (bad O2 sensor). 2004 was the final year for Olds. Very comfy and smooth driving SUV with its air suspension, but its heavy and THIRSTY! Power from the I6 is smooth and good around town, but I expected a quicker time with 275 HP on tap.
-2013 Buick Regal Turbo (2.0T I4, 220 HP 6-speed auto): This car is not to be underestimated! Its the fastest car here and the sportiest driving with its adaptive suspension. Shifts are quick and the turbo whistle you hear driving it is very satisfying. Really cool, underrated, underappreciated Buick (Opel). Sad the Regal is going away after 2020...
-2020 Kia Telluride S AWD: Another lease - bought this SUV as a gift for my mother. A hot-selling, pretty quick, roomy and agile SUV. Attracts A LOT of attention - and its a Kia! Like the Saturn, it feels faster than what you saw and is pretty efficient for a big SUV (got 30 MPG+ before). It shifted VERY hard however when in Sport mode to 2nd gear. This is something I've heard of happening occasionally in Tellurides/Palisades. Maybe Hyundai/Kia should put the Stinger's TTV6 with 365 HP or the G90's V8 in these SUVs as an optional engine???
1st- Buick Regal (7 sec.), 2nd- Kia Telluride (8 sec.), 3rd- Saturn Aura (8.5 sec.), 4th- Oldsmobile Bravada (9.5 sec.), 5th- Jeep Compass (11.5 sec.)

Definitely haha. It also drives SUPER European, nothing like an “American” Buick. I’ve always said that the modern-day Regal is the Buick that will make you say “this is a BUICK!?” (because it’s not haha). We don’t have that car anymore now, I traded it in on a 2022 Kia K5 AWD. And the Telluride/Palisade are far more efficient and a newer design overall (Armada and QX80 are BOF based vs. a large CUV like the Telluride). If Kia and Hyundai ever put the Stinger’s TTV6 in them, or even the newer 3.5TT from the Genesis GV80, then we’d be talking SERIOUSLY fast for these! I fully suspect that’s because it weighs like, what, 4,500 lbs. and is made of mostly steel. SUVs back in those days (90s & 2000s) didn’t have lightweight aluminum underbodies or hoods to make them lighter and more efficient and agile unlike today’s crossovers. Plus, unlike the other GMT360 SUVs, Bravada was never available with the V8 engine option… 😕 It does ok for what it is, feels faster and stronger behind the wheel than this video does justice. Now the Jeep - yes smh, what they need to do is drop that ZF 9-speed and 2.4L and bring on the 4xe model or their 2.0T. Something tells me it’ll drive better.

@@AdamRichardsonAdamsAutosBlog true but its close to 300hp. I had a 15 equinox with a 182hp 2.4L with AWD and no torque, weighing about 4050lbs and it did 0-60 in about 10. Those I6 engines were like 275hp and a good amount of low end torque. They should be quicker I would think. But then again, there are plenty of engines that are pretty powerful but still slow. Some were just made to haul or tow and weren't for quickness. For instance the dodge 360. I could beat them easily with an 08 V6 f150, but I wouldn't want to be in a pulling contest with one.

Leaving TC on in *most* instances will help you, not hurt. I just turned it off for demonstration purposes here. My Aura is the 3.5L V6, and I would say the best way to get a better 0-60 is to honestly make sure you have good tires. I just put a new set on my Aura, it was time. In addition, easing into the throttle has helped some on a few occasions I noticed rather than outright flooring it. The V6 Auras actually make a decent amount of power and put it down well, so you can get a pretty good amount of torque steer off the line. I imagine the 3.6L V6 Aura is even more tough.

@@chasejones2654 Everyone says that, but mine was fine. I noticed a few quirks (mainly that it’s too slow…), but otherwise, I see no reason to hate them. I don’t have the Jeep Compass anymore now. The lease ended and I got a 2022 Kia K5 AWD. More on that later.

Depends on which car you’re talking about. The Compass? I agree - too slow, even by compact crossover standards. I blame the ZF 9-speed. All the others? They feel fine for what they are - pretty brisk in the case of the Buick and Telluride. None of these are Lambos or a Model S Plaid, so I wasn’t expecting 0-60 in 3 seconds or less lol.
