Rather than just throwing up random reasons on the root cause of the Mobile Guardian issue, would suggest that the 2 host to first talk to someone who are more well versed in IT security. Most IT systems are subjected to IT audits. Question is that whether or not the Mobile Guardian has gone through any ITAudit since its implementation?

This is an unfortunate incident but it does throw up a lot of questions Was the tender awarded based on the lowest cost rather than quality? Were the IT department taking active steps to mitigate this problem when there was a security breach some months back? As much as we want our local companies to develop the IT solutions, some of the educational apps (SLS for example) that MOE are using are not as intuitive and user-friendly as other apps. It can be a painful and frustrating experience for teachers based on the conversations that I had with some of my friends.

Most of the co operatives are charging and running like commercial companies. If the balance cannot be achieve anymore, then perhaps selling its co operatives may be a better way. NTUC is best to stick to its core, trade union.

I agree selling off to Allianz will not resolve Income's problem. It will be worse. All investors set KPI target revenue and returns within X number of years. If not achieved, will be sold.

This is a done deal so no point debating. The important thing is whether Sinkies can see what the government is doing with all these institutions and where we are heading. We are heading the American way of using insurance for all medical services, if you still don’t know by now. So the buck will be passed to private insurance companies and there won’t be a need for a cooperative.

SPH ( Singapore Press Holdings ) put satellites in orbit so that media offenders can use them to see through walls of any building in Singapore, and they can zap the bodily functions of anybody anywhere. The offenders are using these satellites to keep me under constant surveillance and torture me to play their "white teeth", "use the hands" game. Please help me. A society focused only on capitalism will unravel social cohesion. As with all things, a balance is needed. Hence a cooperative company is always welcome and has to stay relevant in today's modern age, with inflation and cost of living going up. Bread and Butter issues. Take care of the workers.

How could Singapore govt allow ntuc to sell their 51% to foreign entity? We risk the loss of future values if the new management would use the terminal values or free cash to do something not related to Singaporean but related to their profit oriented mission.. Allianz had financial problem in 2008 during the subprime issue.. High risk they are taking due to their business nature ( not cooperative). May b Im the one naive and ignorance NOT to believe foreign entity able to keep Singapore social mission.

NTUC income also served our soldiers with their unparalleled group insurance policies, including coverage of critical illness. No other insurance company could match the pricing. Allianz would never perform such a service.

I’m not in favour of insurance companies being corporatised. Corporations aim to maximise their profits even to the extend of “scamming” their policies holders. I said this because recently I became a victim of such scamming being caught in the “fight” between Great Eastern’s share holders and OCBC. GE has been making higher profits over the years and yet they cut the surrender value of policies citing poor returns of investments. The truth is that GE’s share holders are overly greedy to have higher and higher returns over the years and they scammed the policies holders by cutting their surrender value to feed their greed. Social enterprise and corporation are just different in terms of benefits to the citizens.
