As a transfer student they are wanting us to live in TLC housing. Is there anyway to get from underneath that to stay somewhere else a 28 year old coming from Texas? I would prefer university lofts or centennial Towers. Any advice you can offer?

Another note: Some of the EDM acts at Lollapalooza had used stage fireworks. The worries about sulfur coming from stage fireworks from the smoke it emits now means that most of the fireworks now in EDM acts at Lolla are now nitrocellulose-based to keep the fireworks rather smokeless - basically nitrocellulose fire and gerbs and sparklers and not too much of the explosive stuff like airbursts or mines. But it will be intense light with the nitrocellulose fire, so you may need your sunglasses if you are near the Lolla stages involving some EDM acts.

ALSO: Thanks to the Me-Too movement, you gotta be more careful if you want to jack off at Lolla, even in very crowded places where people have no personal space. Never jack off at the Lolla grounds without consent because there might be Lolla staff masquerading as security guards who will blend in the crowd. If they see you jack off and there are complaints that you did it without consent, you will be grabbed away from the crowd and be questioned at a private place, and if there is prima facie evidence that you did an unconsented jack-off, you will be asked to leave and told to never come back. That means if you were kicked out on the 1st day, you will likely be not allowed back to Lolla on days 2 and 3 if you have a ticket pass - Lolla will put that ticket on a "void blacklist" making it useless to go on future days if you get kicked out. Even worse, Chicago police can arrest you for lewd conduct after being kicked out, on their discretion. REMEMBER - NO MEANS NO!!!!

Major is the thing you actually get a degree in, a minor is something you are interested in but aren’t committed to get a full degree in I believe

so a major is what your degree is in and what your classes will gear towards, a minor is a “smaller” interest so you don’t need as many credits to create a minor because it’s not your “main” (major) focus of your degree but it’s still a focus

I’m strongly considering DU, as well as CSU FC and CU Boulder. I’d like to major in business. My biggest concern is honestly the massive price difference. My family makes decent money, but I still struggle to justify the $20,000+ premium for DU. Small classes are really important to me. I don’t want to go to a huge school.

Cu Denver or msu are really good. From what I’ve heard people absolutely love msu. And cu Denver has a really good business program. What I’ve learned is that you don’t need to go to an expensive school to have a good experience, expensive schools are often pretty lonely. Just go to where ever you can afford, which will typically be a uni that u live close enough to in order to still live at home. Dorms cost way too much.

Ah so cool! I'm an incoming freshman this year and I'm in the new Diamond Village in a single sadly because of COVID but still exciting. I'm looking forward to it. Honestly DU was my dream school ever since middle school since it was close to home and it was such a beautiful campus. I took swimming classes, skating lessons, and gymnastics. Can't wait to become a part of the DU community!
