I actually kinda do something similar. Except I imagine myself going for a bike ride. The bike ride I go for every morning, I just imagine it as I’m falling asleep and it works. I guess being on my bike is my zen space. Give it a shot, with whatever your zen space is.

I was in the marine corps from 2002 to 2006. They never taught us this trash. We could fall asleep so easily because we were actually just exhausted.

What is military technique Why is it good to know this Why there is actually a military proven technique to fall asleep in exactly two minutes after closing our eyes and how and what is it and why is it mind blowing and why here’s how we can do it too and how and why now this technique was developed in the military to allow soldiers to fall asleep at any time, any place, even on the battlefield, when the environment is extremely uncomfortable and there’s a lot of noise happening, sleep for a soldier is crucial and how What is military proven technique and developed and technique and battlefield and environment and extremely uncomfortable and soldier and crucial Why was environment extremely uncomfortable Why now, according to your research, this was developed mainly for fighter pilots who need a hundred percent of their reflexes and focus, which we all know decreases with the lack of sleep and how and why so here’s the technique that they use, and it’s quite simple and how What is according to and research and development and mainly and fighter pilots and percent and reflexes and focus and lack and decreases and simple Why first, we need to calm our body and systematically relax and shut down each part of our body from head to toe, literally and how and why start by relaxing the muscles in our forehead and how and why relax our eyes, our cheeks, our jaw and focus on our breathing and how What is systematically and relax and calm and muscles and focus What now, go down to our neck and our shoulders and how and why make sure our shoulders are not tensed up and how and why drop them as low as we can and keep our arms loose our side, including our hands and fingers and how and why imagine this warm sensation going from our head all the way down to our fingertips and how and why now, take a deep breath and slowly exhale, relaxing our chest, our stomach down to our thighs, knees, legs and feet and why again imagine this warm sensation going down from our heart all the way to our toes and how and why now, while we’re doing this it’s really important to clear our mind of any stresses and how and how to do this thing of two scenarios 1. We’re lying in a canoe on a calm lake with nothing but a clear blue sky above us and how and why 2. We’re lying in a black velvet hammock in a pitch black room and how and why at any time when we start thinking of anything else or we start getting distracted repeat these words for ten seconds “Don’t think. Don’t think. Don’t think”. and how and why that’s the technique we’re supposed to practice every night for six weeks and how and why ninety six percent of people who mastered this technique are actually able to fall asleep within two minutes of shutting their eyes and how and why you find it super interesting you did not invent this technique, but you’re definitely going to try it out and how and why let you know if we’re on board as well and how What does loose our side mean What is exhale and relaxing and imagine and warm sensation and thighs and canoe and stresses and important and scenarios lake and above and pitch black doom and black velvet hammock and distracted and repeat and mastered and interesting and % invent

I used to use a lot of free weights. But a few years ago I had a rotator cuff tear and an impingement. The impingement was extremely painful. So, I started using resistance bands. I kind of thought to myself "WTF am I doing?" . But, I really enjoyed using them. After the surgery I used them in physical therapy. I still use them to this very day. Plus I travel for work and I take a few bands with me in my suitcase.
